What do you mean by that? I've found that it's quite easy to get a really nice dark brown abv with the grasshopper. I can't imagine it getting any darker than what I get without actually burning.

I mean the Hopper needs more stirring or mixing of herb to prevent green spots Vaperist was talking about.

I don't have an UD so I'm sorry I can't explain. But as long as there's a seal it should work without any issue. As for a whip, the hardest part would be getting a seal there. Maybe the silicone mouthpiece gets a whip pushed through or something.

Hi, I don't own a GH, but I have a minivap - The 'flexicone+' they make looks like it might mate upto the GH mouth piece. Unfortunately its only about 6" long

Just got mine couldn't be more happy! It does get a little hot I was hoping to use it without the silicone mouthpiece but that's a small gripe. I'll probably order another battery and the stainless steel case now.

@paytonpenn Do you think it's useful to have both the Firewood and the Grasshopper? I'm pulling the trigger on a Firewood for sure sometime in the next few weeks. But at the same time, I'm very interested in the Grasshopper. The fact that it won't ship out until later spring/summer is fine by me since I'll have the Firewood, and I'm new to vaping anyways so I'll have my hands full with just that. If I do decide on the Grasshopper, I want to order it soon because I'm afraid of a price hike as they get closer to retail- 150$ seems pretty great for what's being given (the Canadian dollar doesn't look like it's getting stronger if I wait either)

I would just like to know, from anybody really who has both, if the grasshopper is complimentary enough of an experience to the firewood to justify getting both (to someone who is most certainly not a vaping connoisseur or at least not yet lol)

Yeah, they are similar but really shine in different areas. I enjoy the grassHopper with friends and when I just crave a quick hit in public. I enjoy the Firewood when driving, at home relaxing, or when I am serious about being high and accomplishing little.

Fireworks are currently out of stock which may affect your decision.

I would check China, I believe they are celebrating the New Year soon. Otherwise we'll just have to wait for America day.

thanks for the quick reply man! I generally don't have much use for truly vaping in public, but having something that has complementary strengths and weaknesses is good (heck, I was originally considering a crafty, paying for both firewood and grasshopper at the same time will actually still be a bit cheaper).

and yeah, I actually saw firewoods available earlier today and was tempted, but didn't get it because I promised myself it would be a "congrats for getting a job" present to myself (have more than enough money on hand but it's the principle of the matter). From what I've seen of reddit threads, it goes in stock for a few hours at least every week, so at most I would have to order it a week later than I'm ready to.

Does anyone know how long GL will still take preorders? Or is it likely they would take preorders all the way until the point where they catch up and go into retail? Ideally, I'd want to be as late a preorder as possible while maintaining current price/warranty/whatever might later be negatively changed- so that as many issues as possible will have been worked out and the design as updated as possible. Then again, given how long people have been preordering, putting my order right now will probably accomplish what I want.

I waited years to receive mine, but I don't vape normally so I didn't need it just a bonus having it. Originally wanted it for oil front end so hopefully I get that at some point. Mixing with flowers has worked well though. I'll definitely be taking it with me anytime I leave the house now that I have it.

I personally would not get a Pax 2, it doesn't really compare with the GH. I'd say the closest at the moment is the Firewood 3.

There is a lot said on these forums about how the GH has many issues, while I'm sure many people have had issues you have to realize more than 3000 of them are out in the wild. People with issues complain, people who are happy just keep using their vape.

There is never a guarantee that any product will work, at least the GH has a lifetime warranty & is seriously underpriced at the moment.

I think what we're all trying to say is you are helping develop this product, not buy it and move on without a second thought or any intention whatsoever to give insight on it. I don't think the ss case is available. I originally ordered one, but have since opted for @Ratchett's leather case. I think you should take a look at that...

i think that SS case defeats a purpose of GH being stealthy. for example- you go trough security check of summer festival. ether you carry your Hopper in pocket or in a bag. ether way metal detector is going to beep. so security guard asks: "what is this?" you say "a pen". he asks: "Why it is inside a case like that". "Because it is a very expensive pen you might argue". "So why da F you carry so precious pen inside a festival? i wanna check it." dahhh,...

i think the most stealthy way to carry GH is in your front pocket together with a little notebook. using a leather sleeve is better for that, as you can still use a clip.

Skip the Pax 2. It does not compare, IMO. If you can wait till late March, early April as that is when it will most likely ship, then stay on course, but definitely get some other vape to tide you over. Maybe consider something inexpensive and easy to use, like the VapCap.
