Discontinued The Grasshopper

Ok, if you are able to disassemble a regular ti it should not need much time to torch them to your desired colouration.
Yeah perhaps a heat sink over the front end could allow for it even.
But I don't own a furnace or a propane jet, I doubt I'd get a finish that nice. Hard to say how good it is either way, it'll be interesting to see.

I don't think we are able to disassemble our Grasshoppers to the extent where we would be able to heat treat them ourselves without damaging the heater or circuit board. Also I suspect HL would claim any attempt to do so would likely invalidate the warranty.

Hmmmm, another sale, yet the Electric Blue has been pushed back again. As has the Rose color and all hoppers. I’ve sent several nice, and not so nice emails, and they’ve responded to NONE.

Done being nice. PayPal dispute started. Complaint filed with Colorado Attorney General.

I was wondering when something like this might happen. At some point their inaction was bound to piss the wrong person off. How about the BBB? Might they help as well?

I got an email reply to my inquiries. I am now on their "expedited" shipping list, and should receive my new Hopper in 1-2 weeks.

Here's hoping!
Me too although I think they worded it to me as in the next few weeks. LOL!! I have two in and pretty painful arthritis. Nothing works like the hopper, and I spend a lot more on herb without it. I was hoping for a better answer, but it's better than nothing. I sincerely hope I get them back sooner, rather than later, but there's just nothing to give me any hope of that.

I just got fed up (ish) with the VapCap, which pumps alright clouds. But seriously, it's nearly 4/20/2018 and there just isn't anything out there that even begins to compete with the hopper.

Reliability I could care more about, but as an only downside I simply don't care, I just want to enjoy my amassment of chocolate and caramel Kush properly.
I 110% agree and wish I was more discerning with my passion for this vape. It is ridiculous to think that almost every day I wake up and search FC and other forums for some good news of mass shipments. Delusional and hopeful, I guess close to the definition of insanity here hoping for something more/different.

Welp sorry to say my SS hopper is dead. Red/blue lights after going straight to blue then blowing out with compressed air. Not really surprising though as the heater/sensor/body wasn't upgraded at all, I just sent my back end in and they sent me a new one. Blue Ti still going strong though with zero issues

Also I think Olivia got canned. Trevor replied to my warranty request this time and it didn't take a month.

Damn, sorry to hear. Was it the same issue as before?

Perhaps Olivia is no more, it might explain the recent lack of replies. Not many reps are going to keep up with Caroline, especially from a cold start.
The responses I've gotten lately haven't been signed off, and the tone is dissimilar.

They could have new staff I guess.. but who knows.

Just checked the new ETAs.. June for the battery charger.. hopper units seems wishful thinking though/too. May for special editions, 1 week HT, 3 week SS/Ti...

Really tempted by one of these as they seem perfect for a micro doser like me.. Great 420 sale on atm. However scanning these pages it looks like they break down often and as a UK resident it would annoy the hell out of me to keep sending it back for repair. Best to stay away and stick to my Vapcap?

I live in Cape Town and received my TI hopper in Feb 2017 with 3 batteries..it worked great for 6 months till the flickering blue red lights. I used it typically twice a day through a small bubbler as the tip is too hot. I have blasted it with air from an inflatable pump & still charge the batteries and try it and sometimes it seems to work..but then once I stuff it with herb its back to flickering. Since then I decided to go for the Da Vinci IQ and then DynaVap M. With the cost of shipping , delays and uncertainty that the issues have been resolved, I would shy away from the special offers...rather get something that you know works (and uses a standard replaceable or no battery) and save yourself the frustration (unless you live next door to hopper labs!). I hope that one day they do make a reliable hopper..so i will hold onto my expensive flickering led wand in the hope that they survive.

so basically what i am saying is that everyone should take up the 420 offers..to keep them afloat so we can return our faulty units (bit like "investing" in bitcoin)

I will happily buy at least one more hopper if I can get one that last at least a month or two at a time,so I could cycle them. But my record is two weeks. I would just end up with two hoppers broken at the same time.

From the time of the first shipped Hoppers it has been dis-advantageous to be a non-US buyer. Exceptions are those with 1. Great patience for both long waits and being fed a line of B.S. and; 2. Large enough budget to buy more than one, i.e., have a backup unit while repairs are needed. Track record shows that repairs will be needed, so you'll need shipping costs in the budget, too!

It pains me to give such feedback, even while I can attest to having the patience and some real love for the product and the people who make it. It helps me that in US return shipping is not expensive.

Current shipping rate is very, very slow, so be prepared to have your tolerance (see #2, above) tested right out of the gate.
Hopes are now hung on the recently revised parts and processes, which may make the Hopper more reliable. Thank goodness for the lifetime warranty...

Cheers . I wont bother. Sounds like a unrealiable product and poor after sales service. I'd only have myself to blame after reading this thread.

I'd buy from a UK shop like Vapefiend if you're from the UK, that way they will deal with any warranty / repairs issues that come up. You may not be able to find it so cheap, though. But saying that, if you end up having to pay customs import charges, that could kill most savings anyway.

I have a vapcap and a grasshopper, and the grasshopper is excellent as a micro doser. That said, any vapcap is too. I like my grasshopper over the vapcap for stealth (particularly the quietness compared to a jet lighter), and bigger hits through glass, on a good day, as the heater keeps putting out heat, unlike the vapcap oven which will gradually cool down. Personally if I was just doing microdosing I'd save some money and stick with the vapcap.
