Did you check your spam email to see if you got the ghl email?

I got this email...dated today. (So did @MoltenTiger, he posted earlier) The code is now activated (apparently for 'exisiting customers'). Imma roll the dice on a new SS case! I know, glutton for punishment, but it's such a sweet deal! :

Thanks, guys! I just ordered 2, one for a buddy, the other for safekeeping. With a discount like that, it's hard to resist!

I think the electric blue is my favorite. Also now that they are shipping again, I can say i've been using the new components for about 3 weeks now (I live down the street from hopper labs and in addition to being a fan boy, also occasionally get to be a guinea pig ... yeah I said "get" the version I have is an almost there version although so far its worked flawlessly) and I think folks are going to like it ... well some may get a little green about and it may make others blue but on balance its gonna put a smile on everyone's face ...

Can you go a little more in depth about the changes you've noticed? How's the heat? How many bowls are you getting on a fresh battery? Does it still extract as quickly and completely as before?

It’s déjà vu all over again.

It wasn’t that long ago, October, that I received my repaired SS model with the “new” internals. I liked the improved airflow and updated temp settings, and I’m curious to see what the feedback will be on the newest models and how they perform. Of course, the real issue is reliability, or how long the new Grasshoppers will maintain their performance.

There were new internals in October? I was only told of a 'updated service testing'

With the caveat that my general way of using the grasshopper is temp stepping and getting anywhere from 5-10 draws per bowl depending on the strain or how easy it is to reload where I happen to be at the time (its more the dumping out the abv somewhere when out and about than reloading it since I have one of those awesome ebay feeders, but for example, its not exactly that cool to tap out some abv in the gallery of the state capitol ...) so thats how I use and results may vary, i'd say in answer to your question:

I don't know if the temps are a little higher but I get good vapor a 2 and big clouds anything 3 or above and I think the extraction is slightly faster in terms of I definitely strip the terps faster than before. Overall its a noticeably more satisfying vaporizing experience. I definitely notice when I use my other grasshoppers with older internals, the new one just billows the clouds way easier somehow.

Also in my riddle there's a bit of a surprise but I won't spoil it

OK, I have a guess for the surprise, based on your riddle.

I reckon they switched the LED colors, so that green is in the mix. Maybe now blue is the heatup color, and green is ready. Something along those lines.

It's fun having someone with extra knowledge who provides riddles. They should replace all press releases with cryptic pronouncements (and no, I don't just mean vague handwaving about when things will be ready :p)

Edit: Ah, @vapviking, you beat me to it!

I realize now that I never answered the battery part of the question. Between 2and 3 bowls per battery

That "spoiler" button thingy there.... how you do that!? Neato!

Actually, if the idea is adding a color or two for the sake of ID'ing function, then that's great!

I just ordered a new (plain) Ti with the 35% discount. This makes my second Ti, to go along with my two SS units (one SS that I ordered in 4/2017 remains unused). I just HAD to have the new internals.

Damn VAS...

Yep, and VAS just kind of hits you in an instant. As soon as I heard about the discount, I started twitching. :freak:

@slcbdco , thanks for the virtual tour!
It's always struck me that Temp 1 and 2 (for me) were pretty much "why bother" settings. With this new performance you've described, perhaps even T1 will have some worth.

And, while those points all sound great, and I know that performance assessment is somewhat subjective (herb quality, etc), I really just want one thing from this version: Consistency.

I'm really hoping they've nailed it this time.

The “new” internals I spoke of receiving in October consists of the white temp sensor instead of the blue one, with updated temp settings and improved airflow over the first version with the blue temp sensor. If you shine a light inside the empty Grasshopper chamber you should be able to tell which version you have.

I think the white temp sensor models started to arrive in July or August 2017.

Intriguing! I beleave I was only told about the 'new rma testing' in October.

Cant wait for my hopper to give up the ghost so I can get the new upgraded unit :D

mine been really funky lately but then again I been on a forced break for last weeks while waiting for new buds and so not used it much at all so it probably got a lot in it still

cant believe that in 3 weeks it is the first day of summer and its about meter / 3,5 feets of snow outside and the hopper batteries HATES the cold weather but I been using one of these for my ... "nordic skii walks/cross country skiing" and works pretty good when I go for longer trips

first time I took my hopper out I had it in a front pocket of my jacket and all the batteries drained :/

wish I had found a smaller picture =)

When some of you get your GHs back could you take a picture of what the area where the battery sits looks like? I’m curious if mine that I had fixed in Oct if it included any new inside designware.

If you had it fixed in Oktober then you dont have the new design changes that are being implemented right now at hobber labs.

For pictures from last design changes you could find pictures of white heaters further back in the thread.

It is neat, I agree :) I actually just guessed, and used this which worked like a charm:
Code:

Interesting idea. What other function would you want to have identified, other than "heating" and "heated"?

At least it isn't something like a dynavap, I can't imagine getting that up to temperature in seriously cold temperatures. I mean, I'm sure it'd get there eventually, but I always imagined electric vaporizers would be better for that. Does the hopper take a lot longer to heat up, is that what you mean by the batteries hate the cold weather? I love nordic skiing - I've only done it a couple of times, but it was such a great way to be out in beautiful landscapes! Coupled with cannabis must be even more magical. Next time I visit Scandanavia I'm staying with Hjalmark :)

Hehe yeah Lithium batteries seam not to like the cold and hopper being all metal has a problem heating up when its minus outside ... Celsius minus that is :D

but as long as you keep it close to your body it works fine, not many vaporizers that are small enough also to be kept near body without discomfort :)

next level would be of course to keep the hopper in your anus

LETS SEE A MIGHTY USER DO THAT ?!?! HA ?

Hopper labs grasshopper .. the vape that fits in your anal cavities (New slogan for Hopper labs)

At the top of your dialog box there's a button called "Insert" and Spoiler is one of the choices. Select it, give your Spoiler a title, then put your Spoiler info between the two bracketed Spoiler thingies. This is my first one ever, so it must be a simple task!
