I believe it gets promoted as soon as a production unit ships and someone reports receiving it, such as @midgetsanchez does in the very first post of this thread. He has not been around in awhile that I recall, I wouldn't mind hearing an update about his Grasshopper and how it's been doing.
As someone whose other "hobby" could be tea sourcing and then drinking (sometimes way too hot), I don't think this will be too much of an issue. If you do, you'd better place a pre-order so that you get a complementary mouthpiece.

'Slacking' implies that obligations are not being met, and there are no obligations here. Thankfully, to the benefit of everyone, regulars around here simply enjoy picking apart and talking about their vapes. No obligations necessary. Pretty cool, and IMO more valuable than any sort of obligated review.
Mine should be arriving on Monday, for those who don't read the shipping thread. Personally, I plan on taking a page from @pakalolo's book and waiting to become real familiar with the thing before I share many thoughts. I also want to wait for the effects of 'newness' to wear off before I give an opinion (see: my earlier post regarding this effect here), as well as keeping an eye out to verify that the history of early failures has been overcome.
Hopper Labs has a long way to go before they're anywhere near a quick turnaround time from order to shipment, so it's not as if positive reviews could be meaningfully acted upon at this point anyhow.

After lurking here ages just wanted to make a quick suggestion. so far I've seen lots of people posting about using the low temps like temp 3, and/or saying things along the line of "by the nth hit it is very hot", etc etc. I wanted to suggest an alternative style of use.
I was lucky enough to try out a friends SS for a while yesterday and here's what worked very well for us.
1. Crank up to 4 or even 5
2. Take a nice pull, maybe a couple
3. Blow a cloud
4. Get medicated
This is, I think, how this unit is meant to be used, since its all metal construction obviously poses heat problems for session-style use. Taking only a couple powerful hits at the upper range of temps wasn't uncomfortable for us, no silicon attachment.
I encourage others to try this out and see if they have a similar experiene

different temps have different effects though so that wouldn't work for everyones particular needs/desired effects
Oh of course not. Just pointing out one method in which I think the GH works particularly well.

I agree. I understand the rules but theres just too few units in fcers hands to make this thread worthwhile. Anyway not meaning to winge, someone just PM me once they start selling the GH in shops
