I'm sorry if this has been discussed before, its very late where I am and I can't dedicate the time to read through 17 pages.

I really think there needs to be an upgrade program from the FF1 like Haze has done. The FF1 has a hefty price tag. Its only been about 2 years since the first model came out. I have gone through 3 replacements and my 3rd broke after a month and I know I'm not alone here on that. I really like the FF1 when it works but I'm tired of mailing it in. Also my latest unit made a popping noise when I was inhaling through it and I got a taste of burnt electronics. That one did this after a month of casual use since I have many other vapes. I really want the FF2 but I'm not shelling out $280+ for it because of my experience with the FF1.

Great to here all these actual grasshopper use posts! This post is a mistake, but just to give the doomsayers a little perspective. The products that Grasshopper, Firefly and Storz are making are incredible, and that sometimes comes with reliability issues. That said my two Grasshoppers have been going strong for months now. And unlike my firefly that also had its fair share of time in the warranty envelope, I actually use my grasshopper! Speaking of which time get all hopped up!

But have you looked at the ff2 thread under Upcoming and Unreleased? Looks like version 2 addressed all of the issues with ff1
FF2 may be as good as Hopper in terms of vapor taste, maybe even better. as steel cooling plate is changed by a glass one, as i understand.

but i doubt that FF2 can produce as thick clouds as GG's whichcrafted heater does. and FF2 has no straight forward connectivity with a bong. you will have to have some kind of adapter for that. stealth? it doesn't look like a pen ether. actually this device looks like a vaporizer. even more so if pre-loaded weed can bee seen trough that round window.

This thing is great when paired with the VaporGenie base. Such nice and smooth hits on max temp. Also you get too much airflow from the Genie base threads so the airflow altogether becomes airier while still yielding immense vapor. Only drawback is that since it's too easy to draw too fast and run out of a draw in 10 seconds.

chillin on the couch, sippin off a 22 ounce.
Been vaping all morning with this thing... I'm up to five large loads on the last (4th battery) at the moment. I'm vaping at notches anywhere between 4 and 5. This thing is so awesome! I feel like you could be watching me on C-Span, thinking that I was some aide behind a senator speaking, looking like I was chewing on a pen... and then all of a sudden a bluish-tinged fuckin' cloud appears out of nowhere!! :ninja: :brow: This thing is hilarious! Stealth factor is 10/5.

Seriously, I am very impressed with this unit! I can see this being my DD for a long time to come.

Sorry guys and gals, but I'm absolutely smitten right now...

Still working like a charm...

EDITED TO GLOAT: Man, the flavor. The flavor! I start at 3.1415 (just playin. Around 3.5) and end at around 4. Fantastic floral hits for the first 3 rips and then get maybe 2 from higher temps.

what if you bought an extra silicone mouthpiece? you could cut a tip from this one off, so it fits your glass piece. then you didn't have to hold Hopper and glass together while vaping.

Great idea ! Although I like carrying it as two pieces for stealth/comfort reasons. I think it's a bit long to carry in one pocket.

there can't be too much comfort when using it at home. on a go you can use it like two pieces. with your other- uncircumcised tip. :)

@zymos @JJ420
So speaking of those people on cspan, here is a clip when it was actually me! This was from years ago, I was staffing the Congressman on the floor for some rule debate ... unfortunately I'm not vaping in the clip as I hadn't received my grasshopper yet ...

While waiting for my gh, I was looking for a nice glass mouthpiece.
Has anyone tried using e-cigarette drip tips? It looks like the "510 drip tips" should directly fit into the silicone mouthpiece, so that the silicone holds the gh and the drip tip together.

Some nice drip tips that hopefully can be used with the gh:

I'll have to wait some more time for my gh, maybe a happy gh owner wants to try this...

Yeah the Firewood, it is the mouthpiece.
too bad that FireWood is out of stock @ their online shop. any chance that this rubber also fits ArizerSolo stems? i'm kinda addicted to those glass straws. having quite a collection of them. gonna want to merge all those stems and bubblers with GH sooner or latter. for sure.

so at the moment my plan is to cut of the very tip of the Hopper's silicone piece. as much as needed for Arizer's glass to sit in tight. any chance that FireWood rubber fits without cutting? it looks like a cone shaped. maybe any other manufacturer's rubber fits as connection for those two?

i would appreciate any other suggestions how to hook up Hopper with Arizer's glassware in civilized fashion. ghetto style duct tape solution no bueno, IMO. that looks very no classy. and not only a looks, probably a horrible taste also comes when glue is warmed up. :disgust:

@Vaperist You cand use a 1" piece of any whip. I used a piece of whip from my SSV to attach my small bubblers.

I just slide it about 1/4" onto the body of the hopper and the silicone tube fits nicely inside just like @paytonpenn did. This also holds it very snug. You can see the whip inside of the glass.

The nice thing about this is you can slide the MP or bubbler off quickly and use the silicone piece as a session extender as well.
