The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

Totally agree, it's my daily driver for when I'm at home. I fell in love with it shortly after getting mine. However I did get all the @DDave mods and that just the experience to another level.
I've tried volcano before (not the latest version just released) and after I got the upgraded parts and the balloon, for me it's much much better of a experience. And the fact its so versatile, so many options to vape.
Got to love creativity by Arizer and @DDave here. Hands down if arizer bring a new version out, they got my £'s!
Good on you!
@DDave kit make’s life worth living!
The Q is a great vaporizer if CANNABIS is your thing?
Recklessly or Medically?

So I've had the EQ for a little under a year.. Have ddave mods and whatnot, but damn how do I get the glass to not stick so often? The elbow piece and the bowl will get stuck and i feel like I'm gonna break it when I separate them.

Also who has the best EQ bags? The turkey bags from walmart have been too big or small.

You could try putting some beeswax on the ground glass joints

Almost there...

Bit of beeswax or if you have a LHS stop in and pick up some "joint Lube". You could also just use chapstick and give it a coat.

As for bags, I have always read that Reynolds are pretty good or you can buy a roll from Storz & Bickel and make any size you want!

Re-posting this per instruction from AskFC.

I would like to take apart and clean my original model Extreme Q, but am running into some difficulties.

I’ve taken apart other (newer) extreme q’s using the video online for changing the heater cover, but this one is different.

I’ve taken out all the accessible screws and have the microchip on the bottom and the fan both loose, but the rest of the base and unit doesn’t come apart. There must be some way to get to the heater core, but I am not seeing it.

I’ve also contacted Arizer directly who have been great, and if nothing else I could buy a 2nd heater cover for an original model which comes with instructions for opening the unit for only $11. But if anyone has any knowledge otherwise, any help would be much appreciated!!

That thing looks awesome, so other than outward looks what else did arizer change on the extreme?
The Arizer Extreme Q has given me 5 years of very high-quality vape. I choose it every time over the Volcano Vapes. Which I sold because I never used it. It's the rare case of the $189 vaporizer being better than a $500 vaporizer.

The “Q” has it’s place in a collection of vaporiser’s.
Work’s very well for the price. (Good deal really)

The EQ truly turns into a beast with a short 18/18 adapter or DDave mod, it really turbocharges it whether you're doing bagd or elbow packs through the whip. I own a lot of vapes and use my Extreme Q all the time. To give you an idea of the efficiency, I can extract a bag from a bowl of spent avb from my S&B Plenty, which is no slouch in itself. The mods make all the difference!

I have this device for almost 4 years, I think it was on and hot for at least 3 of them in the aggregate. I don't turn it off almost at all. At any given moment it is warm and ready and gives the best vapour of all the devices I have. I also have a Volcano, it is closed in the closet, I use it once a month and that too with friends only. The EQ is not only the best-paying desktop device but also gives you one of the best and consistent vapor in the vapes market. For several years now I have not seen a device that can a replacement for the EQ. And with all these years Arizer has not changed alot (or any?) on the device and it just works. Definitely the device I recommend... (and dont forget, DDave is required for best performance!)

I've been using the Q almost non-stop since I got it this 420. During the day I love leaving that bad boy on righhhhhhht around 385-390. I rock the DDave mod and use the bag mouth piece he includes with a basket in it to essentially use my EQ as a 'log' style vape. Now when that sun goes down, temps go up and the bags come out. This thing produces the nicest bag i've ever ventured to scuba.

Just a god damn work horse that fits every lifestyle with a little imagination haha.

I’ve been rocking mine since 2013, for a flower unit it’s great. Mine recently is having issues with the lcd screen so thanks to this thread I feel comfortable taking it apart and tinkering with it. It could use a good clean.
Which screen?

I'll join in the Arizer Extreme love.. I'm still rocking my Arizer Extreme v2(not cool enough to be in the Q club) that I bought from the classified section here ages ago in 2012 for $50 shipped that simply needed a replacement heater cover. Thing works flawlessly to this day and I use it pretty damn often. I've sold or retired my other vapes and I really don't desire another one, I just love the Arizer Extreme.

Hi
How do you use as log style vape?
Is the eq goodenough for a noob vaper (as I am) and also micro doser as a standard device ?

Great! I use my whip through water or I run it through a water piece without water for more flavor.

Are you elbow packing or packing bowl?

For sure on the micro dosing. You can literally vape crumbs. I use the DDave 14mm and 18mm wands elbow packed with his basket screens. The 14mm you can micro dose as little as .01g. The 18mm You can pack small or big. Probably .02-.08g. For that reason I usually just stick with the 18mm. It’s more flexible.
Hi
Is that 0.01g with the ddave or stock standard 14mm

Is there an alternative 14mm to ddave if ddave not available?

Feel alright:-)

Hello. That is 0.01g with the 14mm DDave V2 basket screen wand and the 18mm female to 14mm female short adapter. The adapter piece is available elsewhere, the problem is making sure the height is the right distance from the heater to get good extraction. Once you have the height right on the adapter a standard 14mm male whip adapter could be used. You can also accomplish pretty efficient micro dosing using the 18mm version of the above setup. @DDave just started selling capped 14mm and 18mm basket screen. These have me excited! The capped 18mm basket screen, I imagine, would now allow you to do 14mm sized loads in the 18mm set up. Here is a side by side pic of the 14 and 18mm wands with basket screens installed. The titanium adapter is DDaves too. He markets it as a dedicated micro dosing setup. It works great but I prefer the glass setup better. If you want to use the EQ like a log vape you would use it set up like the second picture which is just excluding the whip. Hope it helps. I’m happy to answer any questions. Thank you, much appreciated
So this is in stead of the cyclone bowl?
And the herb goes inside the tube behind the screen?,so the herb can’t fall out?

Cheers and take a lift:-)

The DDave adapter replaces the the stock cyclone bow. I suppose you could use the cyclone bowl with the wand and basket screen, referred to as elbow packing, but you would really have to crank up the temperature. You would think the herbs would fall out but once placed like this they pretty much stay put.24598F66-D0D2-45F0-A957-2292A5DCA805.jpeg
