The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

@happynomoretobacco at those temps in a ballon I wouldn’t expect to get much flavor. I’d expect dry popcorn hits. Though the full extraction should be doing the trick.

For flavor turn the temp down but you will loose the density of vapor you get at higher temps. You could split your session into two bags. First run a bag at 180c and a second at your higher temp. The first bag should taste better than the second.

I find temp stepping easier with the whip. You simply start low and as vapor drops off bump up your temp. I usually finish around 215c.
It worked like you said. and like i thought i dont like the non visible vapor. Also the taste is not really strong... Like you said

So i will try the whip

When I use the ddave adapter I set the temp to 370°f (380°f with the stock hurricane bowl) I let it heat up (fan off) with the bowl in it's place. I let it heat for about 5 minutes and then I will start to fill the bag. Make sure your herb is not packed down and it covers the entire bottom of the herb bowl. Start on fan speed 1 and see how it does.

Sometimes I will put it really low, like 340°f, let it preheat for 5 to 10 minutes and then when I start to fill the bag I'll bump the temp to 375 then 400 to finish the bag.
Does this works with small loads also?

Thx for all your Input!

Great! I use my whip through water or I run it through a water piece without water for more flavor.

Are you elbow packing or packing bowl?

For sure on the micro dosing. You can literally vape crumbs. I use the DDave 14mm and 18mm wands elbow packed with his basket screens. The 14mm you can micro dose as little as .01g. The 18mm You can pack small or big. Probably .02-.08g. For that reason I usually just stick with the 18mm. It’s more flexible.

too much extreme q - training yesterday so i slept away very early
i really dont know the amount of my loads but when i do the math it will be around 0.04 - ok thats my target in reality its little bit more - im still in training ...

sometimes i tried elbowpacking - but it dont makes the big different for me on the flavorside- im thinking of buying a ddave 14mm kit but the shipping to europe costs nearby the same then the kit - i would like the one hit kit also. but im not so sure to invest more money in this device. this money would pay the half for an solo 2 for example - thats new for me since im vaping - normally i dont like buying things - but on the vapeside i want more and more - is this normal this kind of being addicted ?

You could alway source a 18-14mm female adaptor, a 14mm male-whip adapter and add some 14mm basket screens. It should work similar. Depending on the 18-14mm adapters height you might have to relearn your temps.

I started with a Solo II then a DynaVap, then a bunch of induction heaters, then a DaVinci IQ, then a micqro, then a mighty, then an EQ, all the DDave EQ accessories, then a flip brick, a JR. Brick, a hydro maxx brick, a rbt milaana, and a Ed’s TnT Woodscents. I’m not even sure how it happened and is still happening. I’m researching new vape flowerpots and herborizer ti at the moment. I have no doubt I’ll end up with one of them if not both...you know to compare. My suggestion would be don’t fight the addiction, embrace it, even though the EQ is perfectly suited to do what we need.

Wow....a lot of toys...which one is your daily favorite?
I have to show your list to my wife so maybe i also got some more. I am really intrested in a fenix pro. That ovenbottomthing to remove looks great for cleaning.

@Floydian good to know that i am not alone with this issue :D

I suggest finding out if you like conduction or convection. Try a Mighty or Crafty then compare it to the EQ vapor. I rented a vape once from To the Cloud then I bought a a vape from them too. They are fantastic in my experience.

My (current) favorites are as follows
Butane: Lotus
Best on a coil and pid: Elev8r
Desktop: eNano
Concentrates: Ditanium
Portable: G43 (rare vape) or Tiny Might.

I am from europe so some of your devices will not work with 220V i think. Also this trial- buying. But sounds intrested would nice to have this Option.

Mighty and crafty - thought about but read here that there are some concern about they are build.

Hey @happynomoretobacco , don't give up playing with load styles, I made that mistake early on with the EQ. I didn't get on with this elbow packing thing I had read about, just didn't seem to make any difference. I was sooo wrong, i just didn't do it right.

I assume you have the glass mini whip? Here's what I would do for a satisfying hit. Switch on the EQ, sit an empty cyclone bowl on top, remove the basket screen from the mini whip and place the whip on top. Set to temp, I like a full extraction so I lean to a high temp, it's been a while since I used this setup but I would try 220c. Here's the most important step... Wait! Give it as long as you can to heat soak. 20 to 30 mins is ideal. Take your basket screen and fill with a medium to fine grind. Tamp slightly with your finger tip so that the herb doesn't fall out when you turn it upsidedown. (Play with the tamp and fill amount to find your fav style, it makes a big difference) now install the full screen into the bottom of the pre heated mini whip and take a draw or fill a bag. If you have a water piece we need to get you to water condition your vapour for the biggest hits! You can make water piece adapters out of silicone hose and the airizer mouthpieces.

So i had to do a second.....

Thx all for your Input i really enjoyed

2nd update
Had to do a third...i reduced load once more i think 0.025 and also one really nice hit

I’m happy with my EQ but lately I’ve been into American made, hand crafted convection vapes like my Ed’s TNT Woodscents and my sticky bricks. They are backed by owners I can call and have a discussion with if I have issues or questions. It makes me feel good supporting them. As you move into purchasing other vapes I think @BestBuds is right. Exploring conduction and convection vapes important. Unfortunately for me I find strong likes in both. Conduction can produce thick milky hits that have a robust and earthy taste that keeps me coming back. I use convection vapes the most because they are fast and convenient....as long as I leave them on or have a torch ready. I’d like to add a Tinymight to the mix so I could remove those two variables but then there is the batteries. With that I’ll leave on what many say around here. There is no perfect vape.

after a day of hard training and strong analysis of my vapes i had to say since the EQ gets more my friend i like them all - different but all - so in truth there is no reason to buy another one at the moment.
so i have to ask me this night do i really need a reason? who knows how long delivery works...
like you i also like conduction and convection - i think there is always some conduction .maybe not with the on demand devices.
i have not a vaping room where i am "save" from my child - so waterpipes and complicated devices makes me problem to declare without lying. i have to hide such things. that is work and makes me feel guilty where i dont see a reason for feeling guilty about vaping . the portables i call e-cig for stop smoking.....thats not really a lie

I finally bit the bullet and bought an EQ on a 420 sale (so cheap) after mulling the purchase for over a year and I've been rocking this baby ever since I received it. I put a short 18mm adapter (similar to DDave's mod) and a 14mm glass whip mouthpiece and been doing fan-assisted elbow packs through a bong and OH BOY does this thing rip! An elbow pack at 195C is about as potent as maybe half a fat dab and a bag at 180C has vapor so thick and tasty it's amazing. The mod makes the EQ as good - if not better - as a S&B Volcano Hybrid.

I've barely touched my Dynavaps (I mostly dab with it now) and my Plenty since I got the EQ, which I leave on all day for the convenience of on-demand huge bong rips. One of my most satisfying vape purchases, I can't recommend it enough.

Lo and behold, I've even used the aromatherapy dish to make my vape space smell of lavender!

Totally agree, it's my daily driver for when I'm at home. I fell in love with it shortly after getting mine. However I did get all the @DDave mods and that just the experience to another level.
I've tried volcano before (not the latest version just released) and after I got the upgraded parts and the balloon, for me it's much much better of a experience. And the fact its so versatile, so many options to vape.
Got to love creativity by Arizer and @DDave here. Hands down if arizer bring a new version out, they got my £'s!
