I love your comments!

I have a old water pipe with very thick glass.
Funny I love the most

Tonight I will use my Q and @DDave kit .

Cannabis wise I have 7 different strains to chose from!!

Talk about dancing?

lazylathe

Almost there...
Hitting the Q with the medium @DDave adapter, set at my fave temp of 207!
It is the perfect temp for me to pack a third of a basket, tamp it down and do a super thicj, one hit extraction! Do this i a few times and get really medicated!

7 Strains to choose from and two types of shatter and some ISO oil to choose from!
Decisions, decisions...
Super crystally Pink Kush it is!
Let that sucker percolate for a bit and hit it!
Oh Yeah!!! That's why pharma can go get lost!

A review on the kit will be forthcoming.. not too soon though as there are lots of combos to try and report on!! And i am a lightweight... still after more than 20 years...LMAO!!! My arms are numb...
Gonna go fly my sim now!

You make me envious!

I love SHATTER however I'm low and have 1/16 of a.gram left!

The dispensary I use has 4 grams for $100 so I guess I'll get some?

I have 7 onz of ABV that I'll use for lotion.
I use the medium 18mm the most and I put about two cap fills each session.
I sip usually.
If I did it all in one hit I'd loose a lung!
Like I commented I'm a lightweight!

So @Dr. Soxhlet what kit did you end up getting? I read 'wands', So I thought you got the full kit. Looking forward to hearing your report as a veteran EQer.

What's been going on at CFRLB?
Been using the silicone hose and parts that come with the Full kit and coming up with some combinations. Just tried something a little unorthodox. Took the 14mm tall glass bowl and slipped the whip hose inside the 14mm female end. Stayed in snug enough. So now, I can use that glass piece as a hookah wand end, which as a feature, can be placed on a flat surface, Heavy side down. The hose is now cut to just right length for me, to place my wand back on the desk near the EQ when I 'm not using it. Plus the 18mm female end could be attached to another standard 18mm for another project? :hmm: I can technically but that's another post. anyway.....

For the end of the hose that is going to work with the wand.
Another visual:uhh: -->With my 18mm glass wand, I have the other end of the silicone hose stretched over the open end of the wand. Preferred method and what I did so I could do the following extra steps below. Just so WE are clear that the hose is stretched OVER the WAND for this example.:D (BTW, The I.D. of the wand is going to being fairly close to the I.D of the hose. another positive )

SO that part/area where the hose has been stretched and overlaps over the wand end is, presumably, going to be wider than the width of the O.D of the actual glass wand right?,right? :brow:

Now I also have an unused 18mm F/F that I already threaded the hose through earlier. In this case a generic glass F/F that has a wide opening that I own.
(I also have a cyclone bowl with the inside screen ridge broken off that was also a good canidate, that works O.K to. )

Why did I bother to go through all that? Bother to feed the hose through the F/F and stretch the business end of the hose over the outside of the wand.
So I could do THIS below. :suspicious:

I take that adapter and evenly push it down over the area where the silicone tubing overlaps the glass wand. Yes, That wider area that I mentioned earlier :brow: right? right?
SO now the adapter is sitting on top of the wand. The adapter end is gripped over the wand somewhat. Just enough to evenly stay on, no brute force needed.---> :bang:
Really just enough to pinch/grip the outside of the hose is sufficient. Now, here's why. :cool:So the silicone hose has that extra support when it leans.

The extra height of glass, from my Generic adapter, being the length where it can't pinch and fold over.
So when the hose forms an arc. Like say with the hose going to a Gong or just holding it whip style, I don't have that folding/pinching problem.
That's the latest at CFRLB. :science:

Mentally, I'll draw you one and @CuckFumbustion can step in and correct me if I'm wrong.

He's placed an additional glass adapter at the top of the wand section of the whip. Using silicone tubing to pad this connection, as the top of the wand is not Ground Glass, the adapter sits atop the wand and avoids the kinking hose issue. The whip tube goes through this and gains a bit of support (at a slight angle).

I need this verified by The CFRLB, of course... ;)

I have another suggestion on this...using the clamp included in my kits.

With the clamp attached to the top of the wand, affix the tubing in a large, arc over the top. Attach to the back of the clamp (for now, with a tie wrap, until I devise another method). The tubing would end up facing straight down and not kinking regardless of your whip configuration. Pics to follow...

Read 3x. Not sure if you are with me at a certain point or not. But yes this setup helps with the kinking/folding issue. :D

From the base of the EQ going up. It is EQ itself, 18mm short F/F, and 18mm wand which come with the kit. So we are clear there.
Now the fuzzy part of my visual.
The hose is stretched over the top part of the wand. M'kay? Where the hose area overlaps the O.D of the wand, that said area is going to be widest O.D/area.:brow:

So, I had the hose threaded through center of the 'additional glass adapter' all ready to go beforehand. Just so I can slide it down further and grip that wider spot at the top of the wand.
Now the business end of the hose in not only stretched over the wand, but the 'additional' piece is gripping the outside of the hose at the same area.

@DDave ,YES there is support for the length of tube that is resting on the inside of the 'additional' F/F. It bends or arcs nice. I can pick up the wand set down flat on my desk without fumbling. Not sure what you had in mind with the clamps. Like to see that.
Oh just had another idea for CFRLB. :sherlock:

So @Dr. Soxhlet what kit did you end up getting? I read 'wands', So I thought you got the full kit. Looking forward to hearing your report as a veteran EQer. :science:

Waited till today, way too medicated(sleepy) last night-a nice Blueberry/Sour Tsunami blend did the trick.
Tried the full kit out using the various configurations.
I always used the elbow pack because the cyclone bowl never worked right.
Not so with this setup. With either the 14/18 and mini wand or the 18/18 with standard wand this worked very well. So well I only did the elbow pack one time. Easy to load and dump the Ddave adapter(thanks to the included glass tongs).

Of course my EQ is not stock though. My emergency repair stayed that way(see explanation below), so the F/F adapters are higher on the heater than stock. I had been running the EQ at 464F with the SSV wand and product placed above the domed screen. I was able to use it at 410F without packing the domed screen with either of the new set ups. Soon, I will get the right part and go back to a stock heater cover.

I should mention I bought several F/F adapters, but the ones with this kit are smaller, so it gets the weed a little closer to the heater.

The standard wand is a little shorter than an SSV wand and probably benefits from the "open throat" design. The mini wand is really tiny and uses a tiny bit of product if only the domed screen is packed.

These kits are worth the money, the full kit will give you a lot more vaping options.

Thanks Ddave.

Thanks for the detailed review @Dr. Soxhlet !

Glad to hear the kit is working well for you!

My first goal was efficient, and with the short adapter, hard-hitting extractions. My second was ease of use. (Flavor came later with the tall adapters.) Am a bit of a lazy @#$%^ when it comes to vaping and don't want to fuss around once loaded and vaping.

You'll also notice your basket screens will stay a bit cleaner if your using the mod by loading the adapters... Not dissuading any who like the wand-packing method, just pointing out a benefit of adapter loads.

Thanks again!

Yes, not packing the screen keeps them clean.
That is one reason I also like the SSV wand with the weed "between" the two screens.

Glad you got with the full kit and able to try more of this and that. Hope to hear more of what you were able to come up with on your own.

I do have a question about your modded EQ. ***Emergency EQ Heater Cover Repair***
F/F adapters setting higher? :hmm: Do you use a different glass heater? I've read about that somewhere. Upgrading the glass heater from stock.
Then theirs this from EQ. I would actually like the F/F being higher and a heater upgrade with refined glass. If I was going to the trouble like you did.
All 3 nice articles at your sig. Plus the Soxlet extractor

The heater is the same. I just replaced the original cover with a M/M adapter that came with the D020 bubbler. I don't know if this has any effect on the heat level. It definately will not break as easy. I find you will knock the whole unit over before it breaks.
Interesting that Arizer came up with a newer model heater cover.
Wonder what the difference is! Hope they used thicker glass this time!
That seems to be the weak link in the system. I've known people to just throw the whole unit away after breaking the cover. What a shame!!

Not sure other than half the size of materials. I have seen another type they EQ offered before. More of a tube shape. If I remember correctly. But your custom M/M adapter will be another template I can consider. :peace:

Very excellent review! @Dr. Soxhlet

I have my Q setup with the 18mm setup just had load of GSC!
The vapor was blue however I received medication beyond belief!

CuckFumbustion

Lo and Behold! The transformative power of Vapor.
Alright @DDave ,liked your suggestion but wanted a much wider arc to suit me and the arc of the hose that it wanted to bend at. Pretty much borrowed the method of what you had in the pics above. But 1 small add on.

My setup already has the business end of the hose stretched over the outside of wand. And I now have the clamp near the top of the wand pinching into the hose that overlaps the top of the wand and the sides of the tube.
Next, I took a zip tie and made a large loop to fit around the handle end of the tongs. Yes, Zip tie engineering.
Slipped the tube through the wide loop. Bended the hose into the arc I liked. Close the zip tie once I got the 180 arc bend I liked. Get er dun!
Side benefit. Pick up/drop the wand and hose into/out of the EQ by grabbing the center of the tongs. Less fumbling and having to reset the arc each time. :peace:

The WT i am using sits lower than my EQ, so my tube kinks near the bowl.
This is perfect for me as it allows me to easily preheat the load and keep all the goodies circulating near the top.
Lift the WT and the kinks straightens out and VOILA instant vapour!

I just had the most powerful session know to experts in vaporizing!

Weird mix: 1 part banana electric; 1 part pineapple paradise; 2 parts animal cookies; 1 part gods GIFT

It's.a crazy.mix!

I still keep most strains separate.

I only received my kit yesterday. Had a good 'cyclone' session with my tall adapter. Can I do the same with the short adapter or is their not enough room in there. Also I have an ssv wand that I haven't used. Can I get good extraction using the ssv wand packed between 2 screens with sort adapter. Didn't know if this would put herb too far away from heat. What temps do you use for that.

DUDE! This post changed my EQ experience! As you know I haven't been having the most success with satisfying vapour hits out of my brand new extreme. I'm not a fan of bags as I find them way too airy, although the new improved gong glass adapter bag blowing system that is now included is awesome! The other thing i'm really stoked about is no plastic or solder/electronics smells coming from the unit, at any temperature.....just nice clean heat!

Anyways, I wasn't getting the thick hits I required out of the elbow pack, so I kept upping the temp (220+) and getting really horrible hot spots, which brought me back to my LSV/SSV days! I took @lazylathe's advice, and only packed the elbow 1/3rd and tamped it well! I was previously using a looser elbow pack.

As long as I keep my draw slow enough, I can get super thick milky water bong hits!

I made a small amount of hash from my trim using iso extraction. But now I wonder how I vape it in the eq. Any ideas. Don't want to smoke it because iv done so well quitting combustion it would feel like a step back. And I probably wouldn't even enjoy it now. I have a shitty 30 quid conduction vape. Should I use that instead of eq.
