The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

TOO powerful? No such thing! :D How is it more powerful than the EQ?

Like the DBV and SSV, the LSV has a broader temperature range than the EQ and is better designed, IMO. You can quite easily take the 7th Floor vapes to the brink of combustion and beyond. You can't char your herb with the EQ no matter how hard you try. Just my 2 cents.

$40 for an ounce? WTF? I thought Cali prices were astronomical? Or is it because you grow your own?

Just about to turn 40, I think 42 is an even better age to retire! lol ENJOY BRO!

I wonder if the EQ will ever get another revision? I'm a sucker for newer shinier things lol
You need a portable desktop vaporizer!

Save your money!

How can you complete with corporations?

LSV?

@biohacker

Lose the silicone bro!!
My new set up is this:
EQ + Cyclone bowl + M2M + HT!!
Load the herb in the EQ basket and place in M2M and drop into Cyclone bowl.
Place HT on top and rip!

Pure awesomeness!!!

@ataxian if you are interested in a HI send me a PM!
The Q surprised me?
For my needs it is perfect!

The 7th floor vaporizers are well made just not for my needs!

When $40/oz is the standard price
In the USA prices will descend worldwide!

How do you think they are better designed? I guess it's really apples to oranges, but at least air isn't going over electronics. I just felt that the SSV and LSV are too sensitive to draw, and hate hot spots. Never was an issue for me with the EQ. You're right the 7th floor vapes do go hotter, but holy cow I think it's "too hot". I HAVE combusted in the EQ using the fan, so you sure can char without even trying hard! Let your unit presoak in heat, LOAD up the bowl well (little airflow) and blast the fan on 3 at MAX temp. That was the ticket for me, but I was intentionally trying to push it and get the thickest bag possible lol

That's the S&B Mighty! Surprised you haven't jumped on board yet dude lol. But I do need to sell and save, this is one hobby that doesn't seem to have an end! haha

That IS awesome! Pretty sure i'm going to nag you for a pic of this setup with your awesome HT!! How is it? Do you have to be fairly delicate? Performance vs cloud/evo? Now that I think about it, i'm pretty sure i've seen some inverted to bong setups as well!

Lo and Behold! The transformative power of Vapor.
Bella, the arizer elbow screen is an easy fix. Put it between your thumb and pointer finger, so one finger is against the rim or the screen and the other on the bottom of the basket. Squeeze slightly and the screen will widen. Repeat till you get a tight fitting screen.

If you're holding the screen correctly, doing this will leave a circle imprint on one finger.

@kellya86, i turned my EQ on and then completely forgot about it, lol. I use my dbv for the first half of the evening and then retire to my bedroom where i keep the EQ. I turned both my vapes on at the same time so i wouldn't have to remember to trek upstairs and turn on the EQ. I am very bad at remembering to do stuff when i am stoned :hmm:.

Thanks for the screen tip @DDave . I had read about squeezing the screen but couldn't work out exactly how to do it. You've described it perfectly, especially for a spatially-challenged soul like myself...

I used a wooden skewer to push out the sides of the elbow screen. First I balance it on the metal rim and press on the opposite side of the screen wall. Do a 1/4 turn then repeat. After all sides are pushed out a little further then the edge of the metal rim. It is good to go. Fixed all my elbow screens including the ones I accidentally stepped on.
It stays snug by pressing on the inside of the glass elbow after I reinsert it. Or at least until it gets bent out of shape over time again, and have repeat floppy screen issues.
I refer to this technique as making a 'mushroom cap.' :peace:

Ask and you will receive Brother!
Sorry to do this to you during your T-Break...
But this is pure awesomeness especially with that Premium Purple Kush!!

And a close up of the joint set up. I think the @DDave adapter would prove to be formidable in this set up!

So far i have had two bowls and am seriously medicated...
I would usually go through a lot more than this each night and i feel just as medicated.
Slower vapour production than the EVO but once it gets going it just keeps up a steady whitewall!

And this is why i don't think i will ever sell my HT!
Such a versatile tool if you put your mind to it!

Nice show @lazylathe! Good thing you hung on to that BEAST of a HT! Another plus is that the EQ costs MUCH less than the EVO! No worries on the eye candy bro, you could come over and throw your entire stash on the table and blow vape in my face and I wouldn't cave! Well, maybe....haha.

Curious what other thoughts (especially @lazylathe since you owned both) are regarding the EQ vs the Herbalaire? For some reason, even though a few days into my break - i'm developing a really weird sort of VAS/GAS again! It's like I can justify it to the wife since i'm saving on meds!

Herb gardener...
Today is Ddaveday for Me In uk. Hopefully my kit will be waiting for me when I finish work. I was up till 4 o'clock in the morning harvesting my crop last night. While trimming I came across a few seeds that one lady had decided to make. This got me thinking. I used to avoid smoking seeds when I combusted. What happens if I vape a seed in my eq. Does it get hot enough to taste the seed or pop the seed. Or does it just go unnoticed as it's not hot enough.

Though I've never done so personally, I've read in various threads that stems and seeds do not give off that combustion-really-nasty taste, as when combusted. Also, no headaches.

However, would have to defer to someone who had tested/experienced personally.

Last night I finally got some material to try out my EQ (and @DDave kit - didn't even bother opening the stock glass).

I bought the EQ primarily so I could do bags with guests. Not a huge fan of the stock bag system, though, so I picked up a volcano easy valve bag to experiment with. Planetvape sells a gong adapter for these bags, which I may pick up eventually, but I found that the 14mm wand in the kit is actually a pretty decent fit. I added a little bit of rolled silicone tubing to the wand to serve as a gasket, but it still wasn't that great of a seal, so I'll have to fiddle with this in the future.

Anyway, preheated the EQ and 18/14 @DDave adapter @ 200 for probably 20 min or so, then loaded up the mini wand and let that sit on the EQ for a minute or so, and then put the easy valve bag on. Started the fan at 1 and then bumped it up to 2 about halfway through (not totally sure how long it took). I snapped the pic below shortly before I pulled the bag. Didn't quite fill up all the way, but this was a solo session so I figured that's OK. Really nice vapor and the easy valve is a huge improvement over the stock EQ bags!

Anyone else here doing bags with the @DDave kit? I figure my technique could use some improvement, but not sure where to start...

@biohacker, Looks like you are 9/10's of the way there. Short air path to a volcano bag. Dissipation also being a factor. Which I am now considering. TX. Here is my post from the DDave mod thread regarding silicon adapters. Perhaps, you might be able to incorporate this in your current setup.

One example, I took the 18mm wand setup and placed a homemade silicone adapter on the top of the wand. I just take an 2 inch piece of hose and fold 1/3 of it over.
So the hose can slide over the wand and an F/F fitting will attach to thicker part of that 1/3 that was folded over.(Here is another thing I do with silicone hose for reinforcement.)
Essentially I can go modular and add any 18mm female fitting on top of the wand. So I place the standard EQ cyclone bowl on top with my homemade adapter so I can use the Female plug on top. I happen to have a cyclone bowl with the inside center ring broken off for such an occasion. Can slide it that much further down the wand. Then I can insert the standard whip hose on the cyclone bowl. During the middle of the session, I can remove the whip hose and replace it with a bag and finish the session. Yea, I can change from a whip to a balloon session in mid-stream while having all benefits from the DDave wand. Best of all three worlds.

Here is a pic where I use a downstem and my silicone adapter. The silicone tubing on the right is so I can grab the glass with my hands. This is an old pic BTW. Before I got my mod kit and had to venture on my own more. But I now have a pair of tongs because I own the full DDave kit. :rockon:So that is not an issue anymore. Still good for a little heat insulation tho.
Look @DDave a pic!

@snackmaster You a photographer by chance? What a well set picture!

Maybe partially biased due to my love of the EQ, but still!

For a session with the 14mm setup, try loading the adapter instead of doing a wand pack, when using a bag. (Unsure of needed fan speed, but experimentation should quickly reveal which works best).

Nah, I just like seeing pretty pics on FC, so I try to make mine look pretty

I'll definitely try this. Thanks!
