New user here, been having a bit of a rough time dealing with their company. I got sent some defective glass and I sent in a refund request. Fingers crossed they help me get it sorted out. Heres what the deal is (my return request I sent):
The standard water pipe adapter kit that was in my order had defects on both the water pipe adapter itself and the heater. The defects are as follows:
1.) The heater has air bubbles in one of the glass notches/spikes (the second spike down from the top of the heater) - these small air bubbles are collected near the very end/tip of the spike. Although it isn't immediately noticeable it is a defect that effects the longevity of the heater due to the repeated extreme thermal expansion and contraction of the quartz glass. The air trapped inside the bubbles would inevitably cause it to crack and break eventually, or even sooner then later. I'm not willing to use the unit to find out, and would like to return it for an exchange on a new heater.
2.) The standard water pipe adapter also has a collection of a variety of air bubbles in the base of the unit. Some of these bubbles are immediately noticeable and should have been noticed during quality control. Again the thermal expansion and contraction due to the high level of heating from the convection/conduction of the heat through the heater to the adapter will eventually cause unnecessary stress and potentially cause it to break. I'm not satisfied with this water pipe adapters quality.
Note: Although these defects aren't extreme they do most definitely jeopardize the overall lifespan of the product. They are also unsightly and not up to the standards that I would expect to receive from a premium product.
They also forgot to put the sick clip in the box entirely, only sending me the clips I had ordered seperately from the kit. I'm not super impressed but if they honour their return on defective items and fixing forgetting to send me the entire kit then I still have some hope, otherwise I'm not going to purchase their products ever again. I'm just choked because I spent over a month waiting for it in the first place. Posting this here so that I hope they see this and understand how to do buisness seriously and that its not just about making money. The customers satisfaction should matter to them. I will update to see how this goes with them. Thank you for listening to this annoying rant. Peace and love.
Are you asking me? I rotate once per heat cycle focusing on each of the divots for 5-6 seconds for the first heat up 3-4 for reheats, spending less time on the smooth glass.what is your heating technique?
Damnit, combusted again last night trying to push my bowl for one more draw . "I think I've had my torch on too long" I thought as all the flames coming off the side were orange. Almost like a car accident in winter that you can see coming but there's nothing to do to stop it. The icey conditions were my stoned brain, I just had to see what was going to happen.
I really need an Auber RDK-300 to make my life easier.
Think I’ve finally nailed down the Elev8r. 35 second inaugural heating rotating once, then 20 second reheat, when the vape becomes uncomfortable to hold at the mid section I bump my reheats down to 15. My clouds are a little light but a lot of that has to do with my load size which is a little skimpy not even half full of a very medium grind. Taste was fantastic and effects were the same
Is the elev8r steel bowl have iced glass or is it clear like the non steel bowl?
which size of beads u used? viewed your insta video, it's like 2mm or even less?Recently purchased an elev8r, and outside of some qc issues it has been a big time hitter. Filled this one with boro balls and heat retention is easily doubled, but also increases your odds of combustion (which honestly without the beads I’d say is fairly low)
word of caution...my first wpa cracked, customer service was great sent me a whole second set. I haven’t put boro beads in the second unitbecause the first one has some visible marks caused by what I can only imagine is the expansion of the beads when heated and tightly packed. I’ve since removed about 25% of the beads and have seen no further issues.
tldr: if you fill your elev8r with boro beads, make sure it is not overfilled as they will expand and potentially damage your elev8r.
which heater? quarz or boro? the 3mm i have couldn't enter the entry, quartz heaterI recently put 3.5mm glass
Marketed as 2.5mm but they are irregular. Originally sold as sterilizing beads.which size of beads u used? viewed your insta video, it's like 2mm or even less?
