Hey @Stu don't be mad; it's been a couple of days. Wish I wasn't the only one posting here. But I will forge ahead.

My Quartz Elev8r heater with clip and WPA arrived this afternoon from @Sneaky Pete's on-line establishment, and wow.

The clip was either born defective or got bent during shipping, but other than that this vape is really wonderful. And the clip works to hold the pieces together, it just isn't bent sharply enough to create the tripod stand which is its second function.

But on to the vape. I had a rare klutzy moment when I first put the bowl in my Globe and it got wet, and I thought I cleared out all the water but I didn't and the first half of the first session was spent drying out the first load. And the the second half of the session was spent getting me high as a kite. And I needed it. Life has been a series of unfortunate events lately. Nothing serious, but a large enough cluster to affect ones sleep and overall attitude. Elev8r & Cannabis to the rescue.

I really like this vape. I have other convection vapes, but none that are as transparent taste-wise as the Elev8r. And the hits are huge and effortless once you get the hang of how they build. And I'm sure when I start with a properly cured, dried load of flower, that the experience will be even better.

I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly the quartz heater cooled down so I could inspect and dump the load. I was also pleasantly surprised that even with damp beginnings the screen was clean and gunk-free.

I've been circling around this vaporizer since the original poll went up in '17. Glad I waited til they got the quartz heater sorted out, and glad I waited until I could get it a la carte.

Do not be afraid to use pliers on the clip....bend it to your needs! lol

I think they bailed on the "Y" bent in the clip ends because they just let the manufacture source make them as they do.....I think they may of bent the clips to form that stand 1 by one....or the manufacture changed this early on in the supply.

Never the less......simple to bend the ends to what you want..and also bend the top or lower hoops to fit as tight as you like.

Glad you got this vape...you now have the baseline vape to compare all others too......for taste and over all quality of vapor. You can also get a 16mm coil setup to use as well. I use both coil and torch.

I fixed the clip after the first session easy peasy. Pliers were used. And it works a charm.

I'm still dialing in my torch time and technique, but I'm close, and have gotten some amazing heat cycles. This is true convection. Really love the taste and the effects are powerful. This is probably the strongest vape I have.

I got this to use with water or my j hook. I tried the j hook but the draw is too wide open so I'm experimenting with two different water pieces to see which one works best. So far it's the globe with a whip.

To me the Elev8r is the result of a Vapcap and Vaponic having a mutant love child.

So I've dialed in my heating technique. Watching a Sneaky Pete video did the trick. I've got my torch dialed in and my times figured out: 45 sec for first and 35-40 for subsequent if they're relatively close together.

I'm really blown away by the quality and taste of the vapor. And it's the coolest vapor I've ever had. Which is great because my allergies have been kicking my ass.

Kudos to whomever designed this.

And anyone on this thread who also uses a vapcap may get a giggle out of this. On the second heating cycle of my session this afternoon I kept looking at the Elev8r waiting for it to click Doh.

Awesome to hear you are getting the torching figured out. I usually make 3 passes around the heater with the torch as I rotate slowly. But your heating times are very close to mine.....I use a Blazer Big Buddy Turbo torch. Or, a coil. Torch is cool for quick tasty high powered elevations. I use the coil more for longer sessions where I sort of sip on the vapor with bigger loads.

I'll probably keep using the torch as I don't have a coil-but I can see why you'd want to.

Given how popular convection vapes are, I'm surprised this vape hasn't turned more heads. It's simple, easy to use, easy to clean, costs under $100, and it hits like a truck. And the cool vapor has been a real boon since New England is having historically high pollen counts right now and my allergies are on over-drive.

@LabPong after slowing down my spinning and doing it more like you I got my times down to 30 secs on first heating cycle, or after a long cool down, and 20 seconds on subsequent reheats after initial heating. I think that moving slower soaks the heat in a little bit more than spinning it quickly as I had been. The vapcap runs deep.

And I gotta say-when I'm high I enjoy the experience of painting the quartz heater with flame. There is something magical about it for me. In another life I'd be a glass blower.

The thing I like about the shorter heat times is that I'm getting better flavor, more heating cycles, and I'm still saving butane. Thanks for the tip.

Yea...you can really finesse it with heating patterns/lengths.

Now you have the absolute top tier vapor quality you could possibly get now-a-days...and maybe well into the future. I base all vapes off the performance of the Elev8r now.......and at $99+......nothing will even touch it except the G-43 for me.

I don't disagree. I just received a Ditanium which I really like. But it's a plug-in and cost three times as much. I love it, but in the portable world, I'm there with you. I've barely touched my other vapes since I got the Elev8r. But I kind of need to-at least during the day-cuz the Elev8r hits like a tank. And I got my water only rig shipped to my door for less than $80. Hell, that's about the same as a '19 M. For a 'home portable' the Elev8r is first in class in my book.

Cool beans man! Do not spend too much and make sure you get an addiquate torch.......I totally suggest the Blazer Big Buddy....the Blazer Big shot is ok...but sucks fuel faster.

I'm using a Newport zero 6". 20-22 sec heat up or two slow rotations. 10 sec reheat.
I've had big buddy also, good torch I just found the lifespan was shorter which was about a year. My first Newport lasted just under 2 years, it still works but the flint is gone and I got sick of jump starting it with a lighter so I bought another one. I think my big buddy had the same problem.

Yup that's the same one I have, just different colour. I got it locally also for $60 CAD. The warranty you need to regester on their site after you buy it. Although I've never dealt with their customer service, I heard it isn't the greatest. For what's its worth and how long it lasted, I didn't mind buying another one.
Awesome torch tho, 25 sec is pushing it, I combusted at 30sec when I first got it. Pretty neat to see it magically catch fire, but tasted horrible lol. It all depends on how dry your meterial is.

Just unpacked my Elev8r. Holy shit the packaging is small. I get it, not much in the package, but still a little surprising. The 14-18mm adapter is a nice addition. First thing I noticed though is how gigantic the bowl is. Biggest bowl on a vape I've owned/bout to try! Also Glad my branding was all black! Just iso'd, rinsed, now it's drying. Few things I wonder?

Should I iso the SiC disk before putting it to use? Or rather torch it?

Replacing screens, best practices so as not to destroy the screens?

How much herb are yall loading?

How do yall dry your pieces after cleaning?as soon as I put everything underwater, I realized it's going to take longer than I expected to put it to use cause everything has to dry. I need a blow dryer! getting late might have to test tomorrow...... Noooo. Want to test right now!

I don't have a G43 (as yet ) but I've read how the Elev8r bowl is being used for G43? If so, How is Elev8r accessories 'better' for G43?

I usually rinse my glass in iso after the water rinse because I have the regular ss screens. After that if I can’t wait for it to air dry I give it a quick blast with the torch. I no longer allow it to air dry after a water rinse because my screens rusted

I load about a 0.3 or to the bottom of the logo for the big truck hits. If u heat it right u can clear most of it on the 2nd hit and it will feel like u just took a dab. 0.1 won't proform as well and gotta be more careful not to over heat the quartz. I prefer stiring over shaking and rarely use the clip. Keeps the bottom of the quartz clean also.

For cleaning I soak in purple power then rince in hot water. I'll shake out any excess water and pat dry in towel same with screen. I'll stand the bowl up after on a towel for a bit until fully dry. Screen is dry pretty much right away, torching screen will degrade them fast and I think that's where the rusting issue comes in. Mine's months old, still looks new and I soaked it many times. The ceremic disk I torch clean.
G43 bowl I haven't tried but I see that more of a replacement then an upgrade.

You really have to give it a good shake, the herb will get a bit compressed and sticky after u take a hit causing it to go in the screen and around the rim. Bits will get stuck. I don't use the clip so I can take it on/off faster with the tweezers it came with and give it a quick stir. I have my own water piece which I run dry and everything sits upright. For the wand ull need the clip and shake it. It's easier to shake then the adaptor and it gets pretty warm.

I let everything air dry. I don't have a blow dryer at the moment. The water piece also air dried. It didn't rust... I've had MANY vaporizers, most use stainless steel screens. I ALWAYS air dry. I've NEVER had a screen rust. I think my titanium vapcap screens are the only I have that aren't ss

Edit* do representatives from 7th floor watch this thread? I just want to know if this is normal for this vaporizer. Who wants to vape rust? Defeats the whole purpose of an all glass pathway. Especially rust n it's never been used.
