Alright, that seems always enough for me (of course 0.5 was too much for "me", just want to know it:-))

I love fc :-D

Without a screen my stems become super dirty very fast and I'm spitting out pieces of herb. Of course, if you grind... Coarsely or use small nugs it's less an issue.

Without a screen you need a more coarse grind. It works for me that way and I have very little draw restriction. I like using the longer stems with the air, that is if I don't need to be careful with stealth.

As the saying goes "in plain sight"? No hiding at all going on. I've tried to 'go the extra mile' passing on things I think others might find useful, no secrets. If you search for cable posts by me on this thread you'll find a couple dozen posts on the topic covering maybe half a dozen or more diferent cables I bought and tried looking for the most suitable one for our fellow Forum members. Some have needed trimming of the rubber so the tip was long enough, I've posted this photo of that process maybe half a dozen times:

The most recent time in June:

You can also get it from Arizer as discussed earlier:
http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/the-arizer-air.16415/page-199#post-783066

I think I first posted this particular cable about six months back:
http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/the-arizer-air.16415/page-111#post-737212

Several other, IMO less suitable, cables were posted before that. While not the cheapest, IMO it's the toughest (best built) and doesn't need trimming to work. That last post also showed a bubbler you've probably missed as well????

OF course you have... I miss a lot. I have 2 AA's and a Nano that never shut off. :goat:

Hi guys,

Is someone using US version of Arizer Air in the UK? I bought AA in California couple of months ago but did not have enough time to use it there. It charges up here in UK fine but when I vape I'm not getting much vape out of it. Or at least I don't see such big clouds as you usually see in videos. May this be due to the voltage difference? What is your experience?

p.s. I think I's worth mentioning that I charge batteries via the unit itself.

I'm thinking if it charges up fine, then it's certainly something else ... are you making an effort to dry the herb ?

In my limited experience, drying the herb beyond the point we're used to for doobies, pipes, and bongs is key for best performance/extraction.

Before reading about needing dry material for the AA (and probably most if not all vapes), it would take a couple of draws before anything would happen ... but with drier material, loosely packed, I'm up an running with the first draw ... and that's on the lowest (blue: 356F/180C) or second lowest (white: 374F/190C) heat settings.

The higher the heat setting, the more vapor is produced ... nevertheless, with the lower temps, I get nice vapor - not the enormous clouds we see in some of the vids, but still substantial enough IMO.

So in short ... you should consider looking into the moisture content (or lack there of) of your material and the temp setting.

hahaha even on the death star, but be aware holding the arizer like a lightsaber, they can kill you cause they think youre a jedi xD. Sry but i have to wait for my arizer air so i can test this myself. Do you test the device in the US first? Do you have any other device to compare? Btw. Writing stuff on a mobile issnt as comfortable than on pc for me:( but my pc needs to rest a bit:).

@TomC1315 @OF ; @lookhigh

Thank you guys . I'll see if I can do something about it. The herbs I get in east London usually is dry and friable to start with. Not like sticky, smelly buds I used to buy from dispensaries in Cali.

I start with the temperature set on 'white", get 4-5 draws (barely visible vapour). Then switch to 'green" - another 3-4 better draws. At this point reload with fresh herb. When done mix those two vaped loads into one and finish on "amber" and "red". At this point I get bigger and more visible clouds, but the taste is nasty and my throat can barely cope with the dry heat. If it makes sense.

It could well be herb related. If you load 'regs' with 1/4 the potency of top shelf you're going to get 1/4 the results?

Maybe it's time to duck over to Amsterdam for a bit of shopping? All in the name of science, of course.......

Beside from herb quality, dry is everything, in my personal experience. I went through great pains to dry properly during the super humid summer we had on Long Island. Once I figured out to dry (not overdry), just right, my AA became a super star once again. Humidity has lifted here making it that much easier.

I like to leave a few small buds out for a bit. If it's humid, I put near my lamp bulb a few a half an hour (not too close). Bud gets dried out a bit and will grind nicely in a medtainer (gets it just right), and requires so little effort to grind (no binding at all really). You can feel the dryness of the herb as it shreds easily. Don't worry about getting it to a fine powder, although that would vape well. Medium grind is fine, but DRY, DRY, DRY.

Hardly any resistance, about 20-ish nice hits per stem, sometimes almost 2 full sessions (10 minutes each), and even burned ABV (fine grind tends to be less even). And I don't even have to stir!

I agree to an extent. Grind is, sometimes, very important as well. Dryness is not "everything" in the equation I think. Nor is it critical in that it (moisture) simply changes the timing. Vaped properly you'll still get all the THC in the load to start with, it just comes out slower due to the delay evaporating the extra water in the process.

Like with too course a grind, the clouds are thinner but the total dose available is still the same? Dry loads also help keep fouling under control.

FWIW some vapes are a lot more sensitive to load density (packing) than others as well. And, of course, extraction temperature is important factor as well. Many guys get 'off the rails' bumping the temperature up in an attempt to compensate?

Sorry @OF, shoulda clarified. That the danger of the written word without tonation and expression (especially when you have a Brooklyn accent like me )

"Everything"
defined as whether it makes me want to use the vape or not, not if it can extract or not. "Everything" in that the experience is awesome vs just satisfactory and has me plugging in.

Grind
Pack
Herb
Moisture

I'm sure there are many more variables, but right now it's all good in my AA, so that's about all I can remember...

You know when I read "everything" in a list of factors (and an incomplete one at that) I read it as '(everything) worth considering'..........silly me.

Funny how that works out. Thanks for setting the record straight.

i think possibly more down to lighting. i also live in uk. not batteries or unit, but guessing like me, in the transition period, vids use light. i still have a lamp i use. for the mental thing of cloudage

One of my favourite things about the Air is how it influences me to make poor decisions by virtue of it's design. Take for instance this morning. I woke up on a miserable cold & windy Sunday morning, went for a piss & it was waiting for me already locked & loaded as I meant to finish my evening off after the EQ went to bed.

As it is such a simple operation I turned it on & set it to green, picking it up on my way back to bed. Three hours & two stems later I am still in bed browsing the internets. I doubt I will be achieving anything groundbreaking today but I have two charged batteries to keep me company.

The Arizer Air is good to have in your arsenal when times of stealth are needed. When only this unit will fit the situation because of things out of your control.

That's right it's always locked, loaded and ready to go when you are. A very nice vaporizer for that special Christmas present to yourself. That's what I bought myself last year.
