coming from a 20 year heavy combuster
Iam so lucky to quit smoking 5 years ago, i know exactly what you mean.
It does take time but try to make a longer pause and train your "tolerance",
i always missed the feeling that are in my lungs when iam smoking, but my body say to me that this feeling is wrong after a long period of vapeing:) and of course its almost a "head" thing.

Dunno if the aa has the same problem.. I personally love the aa.. And ive owned a volcano... Which i found more of a hassle but it is an excellent vape.. If everybody really has a problem with this white substance couldn't you just blow it out before use... It's supposedly in the air path? People trip for no reason...

hi guys (and girls of course;)), i´ve been searching more about arizer vapes and found this:

https://www.reddit.com/r/vaporents/comments/2dxvqv/wtf_is_this_white_stuff_on_my_solo/

hope its ok to post, they say that arizer´s products have faulty/shitty airpath´s and the electronics
are placed in the airpath (and someting about arizer just want to make profit and cash..)

So of course i know, there are many opinions and haters around, i only want to vape "safe"
and i dont know much about the arizer products but this holds me a bit from buying an arizer-Air.

I think i must do more research about this, but it would be nice if someone can clearify this.
And I don't understand their argument on the Solo... Every shop I went into compared the arizer with the pax... And they urged me to purchase the arizer due to the pax lack of taste... Guess that's due to it's 3 temp settings. So I'm just going to conclude these be some haters..

There's often other issues in play at the LHS level. They can 'talk up' the unit they know (they may have limited experience or entirely different goals than you), the one they can make the most profit on (after all, it's a business.....) or it could be as simple as that's the one they have in stock to sell?

Their advice is prone to being self serving and subject to their experience/values which can easily be a poor match to yours.

All in all it can be difficult basing 'blind purchases' on other guys opinions of taste, in vapes, cars, women, cigars or single malts. Some you can sample, others require more commitment. Part of the fun sometimes.

I agree with you.. These shops are also looking for you to continue shopping with them.. Compared to cheaper alternatives like online... As I brought up the differences in prices online and in the shops... Where most shops are 20-30$ higher than online.. But it is convenient to chose what you want and get it right away.. (I don't wait well lol) I ended up buying from a shop that advertised a free 50$ gift with purchase of a 200$ product... So i bought a pimped out grinder.. I got all the info I needed on the aa from here.. I went in knowledgeable.. That a word.. Lol

- fine, dry, BAM.

Yep. And I think dry is more important than grind. In fact lately I've gone back to a medium grind (really a shred). It's vaping fine and staying in place better I think, then again I'm using the domed screens in mine which no doubt plays a part as well.

Came to read about grinders; fucked combustion
I'm pretty sure you have linked to a web site that sells those screens before, but could you do it again? Even though I have done pretty well at manipulating the flat screens that came with my Air, I would like to buy some of those useful screens.

I still prefer the stock stems especially the tipped one. I don't see the need for a screen, a full bowl is just the right amount for me. i would even like a bigger bowl:drool:.

Back with AA in hand, today hitting like a train. Sometimes I get used to the nano level grind, then try and vape that in my AA and get disappointed - fine, dry, BAM.
I like mine medium grind.. Like the air to pass through with some ease.. Get an even vape throughout.. I find with leaving a bud in there the air looks for the fastest way through leaving me with some green left at the end of my vape..

Grind wise, I've been using a medtainer (thanks @OF), and just letting it dry out a bit before grinding. It's more of a shred, maybe not fine. Too fine seems to increase draw resistance. Trick is "just right", medtainer, even if I grind twice, seems to nail it.

Just an observation, not a comparison of 2 great , but very different vaporizers. This strain, at this moment, is hitting better in the AA than enano. I'm in experiment mode, having fun, really all good.

What's the best (cheapest) place to buy a replacement charger? I have a nitecore external but the charger that came with my Air is messed up. I tested it with a multimeter and the voltage output it nuts. It cycles between .2 and 1.5 volts not 5v like it's supposed to. Plugging it into the Air does nothing anymore. I still want to be able to charge batteries in the Air. The place I bought it from wants me ship back the whole thing, Air and all, to replace the charger under warranty. That's a hassle and I'd rather just buy a replacement (or an improvement).

Probably the cheapest is a USB cable. IIRC this is one of the ones I've used:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/cable-USB-4...pply-5V-Tablet-Android-Sony-PSP-/281234981407

There may be others available, I've paid less, but under four bucks isn't all that steep? You can either plug it into your computer/laptop or a mains powered USB adapter which you probably have?

Personally I'm a fan of monoprice for cable needs. They won't have /everything/ obviously but they're well-stocked and the prices themselves are enough to keep me as a customer. Have bought a handful of cables, HDMI, networking, audio, and everything's been perfect for me.

to replace the charger under warranty.

yeah i know the waiting time sucks, but i think it is free and you dont have to pay (only the shipping) because you´re in the warranty?
that would be my option, when iam in the warranty i can save me 20 bucks:)

p.s: i like your avatar ;)

Arizer Air Aficionado
Recently flown with my Air from London England to Amsterdam and thought I would add my experience.

I brought the air, clean stem and spare battery in a little case on the way out. I also borrowed a tobacco pouch off a friend and packed the stem with tobacco and capped it. I put the vape, stem, battery and pouch in my ego vape case. When it was security time I got the case out and put it in a tray with my other electronics. Wasn't even questioned and went though easy.

On the way back, after enjoying the last few puffs a short walk from the airport I put the stem in a small bottle of ISO, gave it a little shake as I was walking back to the airport, cleaned it out with water in the toilet sink before going back though security, came up 98% clean even with the very brief clean. Borrowed some tobacco, capped the stem, back in the case and went though without a second look.

Considering I stunk of herb, and so did the case the vape and herb was being kept with I was pleasantly surprised.

From gervapy i ordered at Amazon, but it's out of stock at the moment. https://www.amazon.de/dp/B012N14S7Y/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_tYtbwbQX5QH0Z

You can also wrap a 15mm around an aaa batt, but imho the domed screen is more comfortable.

@OF, where have you been hiding that cool little gadget? (USB charger)

As the saying goes "in plain sight"? No hiding at all going on. I've tried to 'go the extra mile' passing on things I think others might find useful, no secrets. If you search for cable posts by me on this thread you'll find a couple dozen posts on the topic covering maybe half a dozen or more diferent cables I bought and tried looking for the most suitable one for our fellow Forum members. Some have needed trimming of the rubber so the tip was long enough, I've posted this photo of that process maybe half a dozen times:
TxZzukM.jpg

The most recent time in June:
http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/the-arizer-air.16415/page-220#post-804235

You can also get it from Arizer as discussed earlier:
http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/the-arizer-air.16415/page-199#post-783066

I think I first posted this particular cable about six months back:
http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/the-arizer-air.16415/page-111#post-737212

Several other, IMO less suitable, cables were posted before that. While not the cheapest, IMO it's the toughest (best built) and doesn't need trimming to work. That last post also showed a bubbler you've probably missed as well????

OF, do you or any of your friends have a miniVAP? If so, can you eyeball their connectors.

I'm trying to find out what the cable post is on their units. MiniVAP says it is very common (in Europe I'm sure) but here in US I cannot find it.
I brought the charger in to a laptop computer store and he had a box with misc posts, probably 15 different posts, and none were "it".

I wanted to buy an extra cheapy charger but need the correct connector.
Thanks

My original air battery, which is a pale purple color, no longer seems to fully charge. No matter how much i chatge it it only shows as yellow on the battery indicator of the air. I have a 2nd battery, which is red, and it works fine and iirc i got it directly from arizer.

Im looking for a new battery and plastic tip stem. Those two things are almost $40 shipped from Puffitup.

Is there anywhere else i could go that sells trusted batteries and the stem for cheaper so i can save a little bit of cash?

No, sorry, I don't know it. There's a LOT of coax power connectors out there. Here's a partial list of some of the more common ones:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coaxial_power_connector#RadioShack_Adaptaplug_conversion_matrix

What is it you're trying to do? Replace the PS? If the idea is to have a backup we can cut the cord, install mating connectors, and use the factory connector both times.......

I did that with Solo until I found reliable connectors as loose pieces.
