The Arizer Air

The PVHESGong stretched out my air and now all the other stems wobble. Though I guess they pretty much tell you that will happen since it comes with a silicone ring for after it stretches it out. Does that work on the air? The directions were for the solo. Even got the 14mm because it seemed like it was less of an issue with that size from the thread. It also seems to cut up that plastic black ring just inside the air too, it's all messed up looking now. Does that matter? I wish I'd just ordered a regular gong now, I didn't have an issue with the airflow in the first place. On the plus side I don't care about getting an always out of stock vortex anymore. Although I guess it would be nice to have something besides the gong that doesn't wobble.

Though I'll chime in on loving the domed screens. Upside down it turns it from a 2 session to a 1 session which is usually perfect for me.

On my fifth session of today now. On orange...

2 green, 1 white, 2 orange so far. 60mins so far after this session and red has yet to come...

Only thing i do is stick it under my sweater before turning it on. Only until it's not cold to the touch.

I get around 120mins out of my Solo also...

When I ordered a GonG from PV, I notified 'em that it was for use in AA & would appreciate a stem with smaller diameter, if such variance exists. They shipped a beautiful .570" dia. stem, which is smack in middle of the .567"-.573" dia. stems Arizer produces. It wasn't PVHES, so no tears, no stretch & no change in airflow as I've separate means to control that.

Try asking Arizer to make top seal available separately, it's the one that provides the seal in my experience.

Just to let you know that vortex stems still move a little in the air also, at least mine does.

In total i got 6 sessions off it, full 12 mins.

2 green, 1 white, 2 orange, 1 red (not sure of this was full 12).

Around 70 mins baby!

EDIT: fuck me i must be really stoned. Again sorry about the 12mins, it's 10... So 60mins of usage. Damn i was so proud of having more tha' an hour hahahaha.

No, it does not. It's intended for Solo, there are two different size rings, even with the 'right one' in Solo, some fitting may be needed.

Air is an entirely different scheme.

This is also a brand new battery? I'd expect a modest drop (say 10% at most) in the first 50 recharges, this too is typical I think. IMO 50 minutes is a reasonable expectation, four full 10 minute sessions? For which, ideally, the red should show at the start of the last available full session at least. I think that means it needs to show red at about 'half full'?

Since there's still a lot of randoms in your test procedure you might consider a more objective routine like I used. I'd be interested if your results differed from mine.

Something's not right it seems, which I'm sure is not news to you.

Perhaps the temperature regulation is at fault? Here's a test, time how long from cold it takes for the lower light to go solid (make temperature) on both blue and red heat ranges and compare. Be sure to let it fully cool between. You should see a longer time for red as it heats to a higher temperature?

If you own a Solo and your Air is not close in comparison using the same herbs, you can assume something is wrong and you should seek warranty support. Sorry about your luck, but you should be taken care of by Arizer or Massdrop. Please come back and report your experience after it's resolved.

For me the only difference is size and battery life. If you're happy with your Solo and don't need a more discreet one, spend that money on some nice herb! The Solo is a long-standing winner, and the biggest owner complaint was size. The Air is Arizer's answer.

Word. I haven't bought the Air because I'm so pleased with my Solos. I don't want more vapes than I can use or feel guilty because some models go underutilized. Since I don't need a discreeter vape than the Solo, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. However, I do appreciate Arizer's efforts and it's obvious the Air is winner.

I'm wanting to hear from those that either own a Crafty or have at least used one.

Many would say these are arguably the best portables out but in comparison is the extra money truly worth it or is there not enough difference between it and the Air or Solo to justify spending the extra money.

I had a guy tell me you're really just paying for the name. Sure the crafty is good, but the price difference makes it hard to justify over the solo or air as it relates to build and vapor quality.

I loved the solo it was my only vape for over a year. With that said I much prefer the air. The built in snug stem, shorter stem, form factor, stealth, and its just pure badass. I love the swapable battery idea. This is a vape with very close solo performance in a tiny form factor; a vape I can comfortably use out and about when walking my dog.

On another note, sorry guys I was not able to test my battery meter today. That t-break certainly worked, very well. And the air seems to be working very well as well.

I agree there are many variables but if it consistently gives that battery indicator pattern it sounds more logical to me, maybe thats what they were aiming for?

I got an air because I wanted to replace my solo but I am finding while it produces nice vapor I don't get many effects from it? I can put the stem (solo or air style) into my solo and get a nice amount of good thick vapor from a bowl the air won't kill any more. For any solo to air converts is this user error? I am willing to believe yes.

I love my Air. Id really like to try the solo out eventually but i dont see buying one. I dont see buying any other portables unless they figure out how to put a small fan in it while keeping it small like the Air. I dont see needing another home unit either period. The EQ does everything i could possibly want a vaporizer to do. If either the EQ or Air ever breaks, even after warranty, i would order another without even considering different models... Arizer has me covered!!

My PVHES shorty stem is out for delivery. My PVHES shorty turbo is a couple days out yet. Once i get them in and know i have backups to use while its gone im thinking i wanna send my straight turbo that was chipped to a glass blower and have them take it down short. Like 1/2" above the PVHES etching. Then it would stick out just as much as the 70mm stems with mouthpieces. Thats more than i personally want to grind/sand off, plus this way it would be annealed properly as well.

Sometimes you can pick up a Solo really cheap under "last call" with PUFFITUP. Like I bought one for $55. It's still going strong after 10 months. You have to watch for the sales often. They come and go quick with the Solo. The Haze was on sale yesterday for $189.

These are units that had issues but are fixed now. You don't get a full 2 year warranty though. You would have to ask about a warranty. Randy will be fair.

it depends what you need.... i have a solo which has some draw resistance..... then I read the crafty/mighty have no or very less draw resistance ,which sounded pretty cool to me ,so I bought one. and yes, it's everything they said. veeery little draw resistance, and it extracts the herb way faster than any portable I have used. to make a comparison: I needed 5+ hits with my solo, now I need only 2-3 with the same herb.
so, to me and only for the less draw resistance it is a much better vape ,the rest is just a bonus.

I have both, in fact several Solos and two Airs. IMO the vapor is basically a push. I seriously doubt anyone could tell the difference blindfolded. Solo has finer controls, a non replaceable battery, and more sessions per charge which are the major differences I think.

IMO if you like the vapor from one you're sure to like the other.

Not getting many effects? Maybe its time for a t-break.

Vapor quality is very similar between the two as OF said. both are very tasty. Only difference I could find is at the top end, solo gets hotter and extracts more. Anyone can try this, extract fully on the air then put the stem into a solo at 7. This is only a concern if you like the very high temps.

Regarding if you should get a solo or air, no one can really say. They are very close and I think only big differences are how the air holds the stem snugly without an oring, solo gets hotter, solo has double the battery life, air has swappable batteries, air looks and feels like an ecig, it's stealthy and very small.
