too bad they did not implement USB charging..... the power supply clearly looks like a round pin.
My bet is it's a reworked version of the Solo circuit, which can charge several times faster than a USB due to power limits. The charger seems the same ($30).
You can, of course, always do this very easily. Charge the battery in a USB powered charger and swap it in? IMO charge time matters less in such (cordless) cases.
It has definitely been fixed, and if the AA is identical in resistance, I will be more than happy. There is obviously a balance that Arizer needed to consider in order for the unit to function optimally.
Two excellent points. FWIW I'm with you on the second but have the other opinion on the first, at least on basis. I prefer the original restriction (and controlling it with tipping the stock stems) but understand that's probably not the most common choice. It suits my style of sipping casually better. IMO there never was anything to fix. If you wanted less restriction, go with PVHES (although I get that this is cheaper and easier). I fully agree with the idea of 'if it's like the new Solo, it'll be just fine for me', and I think most folks?
And for sure it's the way it is by some process other than accident. By now I bet they've tested the daylights out of such details to fine tune their product. Ironically, I think, not so much to what we say but what sells the most units?
Are such new products in the market place for us to pick from cool or what? Capitalism, love it!
