I was unaware of the unit pulled working without battery... color me stupid
Speculation, in a forum of 'enlightened' peeps, many times only leads to unnecessary defensiveness with personal beliefs or understandings without actually having the discussed item in hand to demonstrate nor describe
Sorry, Bro, can't buy "stupid". No way. Perhaps 'uninformed' but stupid is a long long ways from there. Stupid might include insisting something that obviously can't be is happening?
I agree, sometimes guys take stuff personally when it should be an objective discussion of how things are, a chance to share and learn more. That, I think, is a lost opportunity.
I think it definitely contributes to our collective understanding (or at least can), not only in this case but also of the laws of physics that really control the science we love. For instance, from a physics standpoint it's obvious that the desire to reduce restrictions (allowing more air draw in) is not going to produce any more vapor (limited by available power) but rather will
reduce the THC concentration as it does in say Ascent......by
robbing heat energy to needlessly heat more air
that otherwise would have made more vapor. Can't do both with limited resources. Them's the rules. Heat more air, or make more vapor, take your choice.
Good stuff if you approach it right IMO, even a potential learning experience perhaps? Ootherwise I agree, best avoided.

Edit: Funny timing, I just got a PM from a friend who contacted Arizer. It seems my (hopefully educated) guess that the charger is the same was wrong, they are using 5 Volts, meaning a USB version should be very simple (Pipes, you working on this yet???), but will no doubt be slower than the wall wart.
Some 'dancing' around the stem/draw issue, but it still sounds like it's on par with the new Solo?
Hopefully Kevin is cool with my quoting a third party quoting him to me:
Your first question is difficult to answer, but I would personally say that the draw resistance of the Air is the perfect balance of air flow and resistance. That's just my personal opinion, and draw resistance has as much to do with how you pack the tubes as it does with the air flow design.
The Air Charger is 5v, not 12v, and you should never use a Solo Charger with the Air.
The Air Batteries are very high quality proprietary 18650 cells. A Dual Battery Wall Charger accessory that can charge one or two Air Batteries will be available for purchase on our website (coming soon).

One final thought, if the Solo chargers can damage the Air if you accidentally plug one in (many of us are sure to have at least one lying around) I sincerely hope they changed the connector so that's not physically possible? To not do so would be a troubling oversight.......
