Anyway, yup, it's a nifty little bubbler all right. For those that don't know them, this class has traps built in so they don't leak. Kinda magic, really. Very easy to use, effective and fifteen bucks from our bud Randy at PIU. You should order one just for a fun change of pace?
Time maybe to share how I've been cleaning mine. While PBW was doing a fine job it was kind of a bother as a routine thing. So now I use short piece of Silicone tube to connect to a small funnel (current one is about 3 inches on the big end). Then the lot goes 'head down' into the silverware rack in the dishwasher. One the end, so some of the water splashing around and draining down the corner (turbulent area) ends up filling the funnel.....which of course drains hot detergent through the bubbler by our old friend, Gravity. Even on the short cycle my machine gives a 20 minute flush with heated detergent. Does a fine job even badly fouled.
Perhaps not the best thing to do around the wife.....your call there. I see no difference with other residues in the wash but this is kitchen stuff, following sometimes unknown rules with serious downside potential.
Anyway, 'works a treat'. I usually grab it at the end of the wash cycle and rinse it manually, the machine can leave suds in the trap. Very easy to rinse it under the tap. Running a modest stream from the tap into the top at about a 45 degree angle gives you a fun little stream out the bottom of the upper trap into the center area. A couple of shakes and a couple of rolls flushes everything out and fills it up. I then invert it (nose down) and blow as much water as possible out though the upper trap for my 'ideal' water load (which will evaporate slowly in use).
I bought another one with the idea of rotating them so I could have a fresh stem once a day if the urge struck. But this is so fast and easy I haven't got to it. It has modified my usual habit of dumping and reloading after use (since washing a fresh load seems a bit of a waste somehow.....not that I've tried it, just a guess.....). Not quite there yet, but getting close.
That, quick fouling and hard cleaning, is a 'design feature' that comes with the dog as they say. That is it does a lot of work with a tiny bit of water and needs a sealed chamber that defies brushes and such. My chief objection to the whole thing, it fouls fast and is hard to keep clean? Mister Dishwasher has made that much better with a bit of tube and a two dollar plastic funnel.

I can see already it will need to be cleaned often.
I'm surprised it works as well as it does.
I will say the flavor is better with the stock stem but that's to be expected with water filtration/longer air path.
Overall though it adds a another dimension to the Air experience.
It's hard to get the water all the way out. I'll experiment with the angle.

The only way I know is to rinse it with clean water and dry it with heat/airflow. The traps are pretty effective with liquid.
But there's no need to ever empty it? I wash it, rinse and fill to the mark. If it's low, I'll add a few drops to top it up or rinse it clean and start from the mark again.
As you say, 'adds a another dimension to the Air experience' for not many bucks.

Well, my Air seems to be breaking again...
The same exact issue that I had before. New Air lasted 4 months, replacement almost 2 months before issues.
Maybe I will just get it RMA'd, sell that, and then buy a solo or something. This is a huge bummer. I thought the Air was the perfect unit for me...but it can't stay healthy / working.
I almost want to just tear it open to find the problem area (thinking heat sensor), and fix it myself. Being without a vape for a week or two is pretty annoying.

Well I have my OG Air back in my hands, my friend didn't seem to like it all that much for tobacco use. 
They tried.

FYI: the piece works well but near impossible to keep clean.
I stopped using it after the first day.

I've had my Air since February, I'm loving it! I just picked up the Solo II so it might be benched, but it'll still have its uses

I meant cheap as the lowest costing item available. I'm sure the glass is just as thick.

I've been having an issue recently with my Air. Sometimes it just won't turn on. No lights, beep or anything.
If I plug it into power even for a second, this will then allow me to turn it on when it's unplugged.
I have two batteries and seems to happen for both so don't think it's a battery issue. However, they are coming up to 3 years old, and although they have mainly been used at the weekend only, it's still a long time.
I know some peoples spring compressed so it wasn't making a contact, I've stretched mine out a little to ensure a good contact.
Has anyone else had this?

It sounds like the power button isn't getting a good contact. Can you turn it off when it is on?

How do people find the PANASONIC NCR18650B (3400MAH/6.4A) batteries in the Air?
I have sold my Air to a friend, and after 3 years the Arizer batteries are fried.
They are priced at £15 in the UK. A price he isn't so willing to pay, and more than 3 times the price of a legit Panasonic cell.
Experience would be appreciated.

Thanks, I advised him to pick a couple up, and he did however the Air is now not working. 
I mentioned a few posts ago I was having issues with it.
Sometimes holding down the power button does nothing, you can take the battery in, replace it with another which is known to be good and nothing. The only way to get it to turn on is to plug it into power to "shock" it into life. Once you unplug it then the Air will be fine with the battery.
I think this happens 1/10 times, and it's very frustrating. I have checked both the contacts and they seem to be fine. And this is proven because once you plug/unplug it's fine.
Someone mentioned above maybe the buttons are faulty, even if you press them as hard as you can it still wont make it work.
I might try to take the air apart to see if I can see anything inside. Not much to loose at this point.
The only option is to keep it at home as a backup vape, because you never know when you might need to plug it into power just to get it to turn on.
Bit of a shame as I raved about this vapes reliability, it didn't let me down once in 3 years, until now....

Interesting problem (though frustrating on your end....), but I don't think the statement above is accurate? That is there's something else going on. The charger just doesn't provide enough power to run the unit, it can't substitute on it's own. Hard to say what might cause this. Since such devices really never shut off (since they have to keep 'watching' for key presses), that part can get fouled up? It gets 'lost' and forgets to look for key presses? In which case the interrupt from the charge port might be the key? It shouldn't happen, but can be 'fixed' when it does that way? Power up reset (battery change with enough button presses and time to completely stop the processor, should force a new boot up that would clear the fault?

However, I don't think the second statement is true. You've got another (IMO excellent) option, one of those USB 'Power Banks' guys use to recharge cell phones when they're not paying attention and get 'caught flat'? It shouldn't need a very high capacity since you're not recharging? A small/cheap one could save the day. No need to leave a good friend like Air home because of an occasional disagreement........

I've got one of these and can recommend it based on that experience. I use it with vapes like some of the FMs that have no meter in case I lose count. I'm not exactly sure where it is right now, I packed it away with a FM I can't find (pick up a pattern?) and some herb I stashed 'someplace safe'.......
Handy gadgets, I should probably order another.
