Quick question, I have a firefly but sometimes the battery life is just quite a hassle especially for group/use on the go. How does the air compare to the firefly? Firefly's flavor is the best I have tasted, I expect the air to have great flavor but not match the quality of a firefly. Does the air pack as hard of a punch as the firefly? I can get ripped from that little guy, not sure if I want to make the switch. I was disappointed with my EQ a while back when I bought it so I hope this doesnt deliver the same performance.

It was a Holiday yesterday. That has a 'ripple effect' that can stall out the whole machine. I 'lost' two packages in this same time frame. Based on my experience it's entirely possible it's moving without scans, I'm expecting the package that never left Buffalo NY ('label printed' Thursday night) to show up today or tomorrow.

Have faith, they can only screw it up so bad. It kind of ends these days at delivering it to the wrong address or returning it to sender.

Hopefully you'll soon have this all behind you.

OF

I'm hoping so. The text updates still said expected delivery on Tuesday the 20th (today) even when tracking or scanning failed to update.
I will know soon enough if that's the case.

I guess without tracking, if it's not here by tomorrow (2 day priority) I can legitimately be concerned since I can't find it anywhere in the system.

Solo would have roughly 2X the battery life. This one gets about 5 sessions (10mins each).

OK disagree with me, I can't force you to be right

USPS tracking, and, USPS in general sucks around here. According to their tracking a package I received last week said it hadn't left the origin city up to late last night. Today it says it was delivered.....in St. Louis.....I live in the SF Bay area in California. :\

If you were disappointed with your Eq than i'd say don't purchase this. A desktop is usually going to be more powerful than a portable. I have both this and the Eq and while i love my Air.The Eq is going to produce more clouds and stronger dosage of medication and faster than the Air. The Air is a amazing machine though for a portable and does the job just right.

Lol yea, says it's still in another state but just arrived right now. Crisis/worry averted. I'll keep that in mind for the other two packages I'm waiting on.

Randy, being the awesome gentleman that he is, threw in a grinder with the spare battery, all at a low price-matched price.
That right there is why I'm glad I just gave him more business replacing my broken EQ (won't let tracking worry me now).

Review and comparison coming later, I figure it'll take 2-3 hrs to charge

The anticipation and worry can drive a person mad.
Dammit USPS! WHY DID YOU NOT UPDATE MY TRACKING IN 4 DAYS!
AIR IS SUPPOSED TO BE IN MY HANDS TODAY......BRING IT TO ME!!!!!!

Ahem.... excuse my outburst.

Seconds, please, on that. My *daze*, & confused, story.

On a dare to myself, I ordered an Air from the Canadian EBay retailer. Well, Ok , so it took *daze* for the currency conversion, then seller post haste the package via Canada Post.

When it got to the Chicago sort area, it took residence for some *daze* I was, seeing it sitting there.

Immobile.

Finally it left the Elk Grove Village facility, showed up in Springfield, Ma PO some few *daze* later. Friday, great, so it's a little late, surely will be here (some 20, or so miles away) by Saturday.

Saturday passed. Now I was getting pissed.

Monday? No. Not till Tuesday, since Monday was a f**king federal Holi*daze*.

Tuesday finally arrived. And I finally got the so called expedited delivery some 14 *daze* after my January 6th payment. Priority Mail, indeed. More like snail mail.

Snail Mail tis. On the positive side, I got my Air, baby! & she is happily charging, blinking green.
With an extra battery, to boot! Hawt dog!

Congratulations on joining the Air group. You won't regret it I'm sure.

As far as Randy is concerned he should always be your "go to" guy. Check his site first and communicate. But watch out for those "freakin'" grinders. He'll send you one with every vape purchase at least. I have a box of them and I always try to remember to mention that I don't need any more

I'm going to post a thorough review comparison tonight. I can't comment o how medicated it'll make me because I'm still on surgery pain meds so it all compounds (in a good way) for this week but I can compare its ease, draws, water filtration, etc.... comparing to the pinnacle pro dlx, the solo, the mflb, the titan 2, and an old gpro.
I think we all know who's coming in first but the pros/con comparison of each could help any on the fence buyers.

Regarding grinders, if I keep getting them (he's replacing my EQ and its Gong adapter likely coming Thursday) I'll use them and the discount cards to send friends his way.
Paying it back and paying it forward.
Now I just hope OF gets his package he's waiting on.

Edit: regarding the air, after the auto shut off how long until the unit will turn back on?

Arizer Air - Official Review and Comparison

First, a bit of history about my vape knowledge.
Many years ago I saw a vape at a headshop and decided to try it. Crappy hold wand to a barely heating element. Terrible results. Right back to smoking.

A couple of years ago, I decided to stop combusting and try vaping. This time: success!
Now, I have a somewhat obsessive personality so when I like something I tend to get really into everything about it which led to many purchases.
In the initial 6 months I had:
Iolite v1
OG solo
Extreme Q
Volcano
Da Buddah
Puffit v1
MFLB og with and w/o PA

I now only have:
Arizer Air (thanks again Randy)
Da Buddah (definitely a durable unit, been going strong for years)
Pinnacle Pro DLX w/ water tube
Puri5 Titan 2
Grenco sciences G Pro
(Extreme Q replacement en route from Puffitup.com, MFLB being replaced through lifetime warranty)

In this review, I'll point out my thoughts on the pros/cons of the portable units, review the Air fully (packaging, warranty, etc), and finally compare each portable and rate them, from 1-7 (ones I've owned or have) in order of the best unit to the worst (in my opinion).

I hope this helps anyone looking into new portable units.
Reviews in no order :

1. Arizer Air
This unit is fantastic. Nice packaging, similar to every Arizer product I've received. Discrete and efficient. I find the included silicon sleeve comfortable, the carrying case convenient, and a stirring tool is a nice touch. You can adjust the airflow with packing methods or simply not pushing the stem all the way in but it's good airflow regardless. Better than the solo I had certainly.
Durability is like the solo but in my onion better. It feels sturdy and has a great warranty. Plus a user replaceable battery, so I assume it'll be less hassle to keep this vape up and running without using the warranty than many others.
The clouds can be wispy with a light pack, but really stuff down finely ground material and regardless of amount you're going to get a few nice clouds.
Another plus, besides being able to use while charging, is that the mouthpieces fit in my DLX tube fairly snug. Enough to get cloudy. It's a 2 hand job and its not as snug, but talk about versatility.
Arizer has proven themselves once again.

I guess my only con would be that it doesn't have the seven hear settings and the light set up that the solo had. Plus the battery indicator. I found those useful. Other than that, this is a solid portable you can find for a reasonable price (I STRONGLY suggest puffitup) that has no REAL drawbacks at all. It's a built to last, versatile vape.
9.7/10 in my book

2. Pinnacle Pro DLX
Despite the bad rep, I like this vape alot.
Many of the same features of the Air (similar size, versatile, can be used while charging, a cloud producer, etc) can be found on the pinnacle pro but it does have more drawbacks.

The pros - The unit produces clouds even on the lowest settings. It doesn't get too hot to me and through the Pong mouthpiece/adapter (no one uses the plastic) it tastes pretty good to me.
The bullet option is genius in my opinion, that's one of my favorite features. It does have 7 temp settings and I hear it can be used with concentrates but that is of no concern to me. I've never gotten real wispy vapor out of it and it doesn't smell much. It can get a bit hot on the throat without the water but not unbearable and only on 3. I rarely go higher unless it's for a finishing couple draws. The hits through the water tube are just fantastic, hands down.

Cons- the plastic doesn't seem durable and reports of mouthpieces or chamber pieces cracking worry me a bit. That and complaints of battery life. I'm hoping I got a good one but at least I know I ordered from a great source and can always get it fixed. I also think they should come with customized screens for the bullets. Longevity worries aside, if it doesnt crap out I could comfortably recommend this. I will be buying v3 sometime after release if the concerns are addressed well enough.
8.9/10

3. Grenco G Pro
I found this vape for cheap luckily, and its apparently like a titan 1 or a few others of that style. It did serve it's purpose....it was the vape that got me away from combusting again (long story) and made me realize if a vape getting sh*t reviews can make me happy vaping imagine what top of the lines can do. Combusting is now disgusting.
I also like that it'll never combust and you're guaranteed clouds, however wispy, from every pack. It's not a terrible emergency vape to have.

Cons- cheap plastic casing and button, could certainly stand another heat setting. It's Grenco :/
5.5/10

4. Puri5 Titan 2
Another vape thats not popular, can be purchased for 40-70 bucks, and has been good to me.
Pros- After the initial burn off, it's been a great travel vape I'll bring in anywhere.
Digital lcd display, temps up to 428, and a nice body. Feels light but very durable from this manufacturer.
Clouds are Light to medium but consistent. Vapes very evenly and an easy on/off mouthpiece to pack the chamber. A bit hot until you use the included extension mouthpiece.

Cons - burn off took 3 cycles, and the only way to get good clouds is a dense pack. I do like the use while charging through any mini usb charger, but the battery itself is only good for 35-40 min on its own. Also not replaceable
7.8/10

5. MFLB
Ive said it before, always has a place in an arsenal. It's not, in my opinion, a session vape. It's a one or maybe two people vape but I consider it the one hitter of the vape world.
Pros - after you get your technique down, you can get very medicated very discreetly with this device. You want a couple sets of batteries, but its very quick and effective if you want to sneak a vape real quick. You can sneak a couple good draws and put it away all within a minute with very little to no smell. A lifetime warranty that they're happy to offer and they always respond. There's also tons of accessories now to make it versatile. If you get clouds, more often than not they'll be wispy, but it's still doing the trick even without much visible vapor. With the PA, you'll get clouds period. That turns the little box beastly.

Cons - the battery thing can be a pain if you wanted to session with it, and if you use poor technique and still try to get clouds there's a good chance of combustion.
The PA is clunky, and the box really needs FINELY ground herb and a good shake/tap between draws to keep it satisfactory.
The trick is knowing where and how it fits in your needs..... then you'll grow to love it.
7/10

6. PuffIt v1
Besides the design, I have very little positive to say about this unit. A pain to use, terrible vapor production for me, and overall I sold it within a couple weeks. I havent tried any model since so I will not comment on the company besides to say they did promptly respond to emails (good indicator of CS) but I would never purchase again for any price.
3/10 (loved the actual look of it, stealthy as anything could be, and it didn't combust)

7. OG Arizer Solo
I liked this vape, when I upgraded to Eds stems. Not a fan of stock airflow.
I loved the battery indicator and seven heat settings, and it was a cloud producer with a nice tasty vapor. It also was built like a mini tank.

Cons - couldn't be used while charging, was a bit too big to be as portable as I prefer, there wasn't a user replaceable battery, and coming stock it had a very restrictive airflow.
7.9/10

8. Iolite v.1
Another unit I am not that fond of.
Needs butane, and a specific type, and the taste, vapor, effects, etc were questionable at best.
Rather than pro/con this one, i'll just say I got this unit as a gift about 3.5 years ago. Nowadays, the portables, probably any one reviewed on here..... will put this to shame.
1/10 (at least it didn't combust)

All in all, I think it's a clear winner
The Air is an incredible vape, although I can honestly say I love my PPRO DLX too and if they address the durability/battery issue..... the two will be competitive.

Portable Vape Ranking -
1. Arizer Air
2. Pinnacle Pro
3. Arizer Solo (OG model)
4. Puri5 Titan 2
5. (Was almost a tie for 3rd or 4th) MFLB (Og model)
5. Grenco Gpro
6. Puffit v. 1
7. Iolite v. 1

There you have it folks.
I'd like to give one more huge thank you to Randy for hooking me up nicely with the Air and helping me affordably replace my Extreme Q. He's even throwing in a free Gong adapter because we both agree the Q through water is just delightful. I recommend any and everyone who doesn't..... check out Puffitup.com
Great guy runs the site, quick shipping, and he price matches. Absolutely fantastic service.

Happy Vaping! Any questions, anyone, feel free to ask

Hello...
I received my air today..I can honestly say,..IMO,..its the best port. iv used so far,...that's against the solo,..no2,..daVinci,..mflb,..ascent,..and,..the HAZE.
The only reason I have an air,..is because I needed a quality port fast...real fast because the HAZE,.. the black stealth HAZE...I ordered 2 days ago left my hands covered in black paint after cleaning,..as well as the bowl indicators..which just wiped off completely..
Yes,..I used q tipped alcohol swabs...just like every other vape iv owned...iv never had this happen...allll the paint and some of the rubber on the handle side is worn down to the plastic...
I contacted they're site 2 x...and one of those times was to register my warranty,... I also called the vendor I got it from,..who in turn called HAZE directly,..and they said they never received any contact at all..
So,..I gave the vendor the #'s they needed and they did it directly...it goes back tomorrow,.. And a replacement soon to follow.
I had that vape 1.5 days....and it nevet left my house...and its portable... I can only imagine it after 2 years,...let alone 2 weeks!.
In the meantime I had an air overnighted to me to fill the void....
I kick my own ass for not getting it in the first place....
The HAZE works well...runs a little hot you ask me but,...again,..IMO,..its frail for what its got going on..and its price point...I as afraid I'd crush it from the get go...and then the paint put it over the top,..for me anyway...
I see it gets nothing but love for the most part,..and that was a big factor in my decision to buy it vs. the slew of others in its range right now...but sadly its defective I guess,..works great...but I'm still go-jo ing the black from under my nails.
Hey thanks for listening!!

Cant wait to test drive this vape. Silver is so nice :luv:, great color scheme

The short solo stem without plastic tip is slightly larger diameter than small one with plastic tip. I will not be using the longer one since I rather have tight fitting short stem (plus I agree I like it, low draw resistance). Wonder why they dont use the same glass tubing to make all the stems? I know glass varies but from the reports so far all longer stem are larger diameter

For real dense packs and thick clouds, I like the stock long stem for high temps especially. They're both good but I do think the longer cools better obviously and it works so well with my DLX water tower

Did they both go in the same? Same diameter?

I hear you man, I can envision people wanting to use water or longer paths to cool the vapor down. But for my use, portable all the way; I have enano for home that im in love with lol.

Interesting, just measured my air stems and the longer black mouthpiece stem is .007" smaller diameter & easier to insert.

Vapormatic just ninja posted. So perhaps it is just glass variances. I did not receive a longer black mouthpiece, only a short arizer solo like stem and the very short stem with black tip. Wonder how these differ for others? Just glass variances or actual differnce

Interestingly, it seems my battery ran low and won't use while charging until it reaches a certain point?
Anybody with good info on this?

Can somebody with some skill make a template for the air and send it to me for skins? I'm not sure if anyone is interested in that but I was speaking with a somebody who sells them and would make them for us at a cost but needs a template.

Yes, we've discussed this several times. The supply provides less than half the total power needed on average, it needs at least a partially charged, working battery.

From dead I think you need something like 6 or 7 minutes of recharging before you can complete a single session (and you'll be dead again).

This is why it takes longer to charge the battery than to run it down (say 3 hours compared to just under one total doing sessions).

It's not "a pass through". The charge simply recharges the battery as you run the Air off it (the battery).

i just got to try the air courtesy of a fellow FC'er a few hours ago. i was surprised how light it felt in my hand. i'm sure this has been mentioned in this thread already but we found that 65mm tall button top 18650's (orbtronic sx30) wont fit. the top cap wouldn't screw down enough to push the little pin in.
we didn't try a standard length button top even though i had one with me. must have been vaped out.

we stuck a PNWT on it for a few rounds but i personally felt like i got a much larger hit without it.
overall my first impressions were all about the lightness and form factor of the unit, but the taste and vapor production seemed up to snuff. comparable to the solo on similar settings but visually it looked like i was getting more vapor.

@Hashassin, I lived in Java some five years ( and went to the same school as young Barak, I believe ), do Mendonesians speak bahasa Indonesia? Or do they speak
Mendon, Ma?

Good to know there are fellow vaporists on the spice islands.

Just got my greedy hands on an Air myself today, it does feel light as air, compared to my Solos!

Hello All, set my order now on the Air,.. can`t wait to get more portable with this one.
My Ascent wasn`t satisfying, because of the huge amount of medicals it needs to work well for me.
I think that was the right choice so far, I will see. :)

From my vapes, like the MV the most from all I have until now.

Have you tried a flat top battery, similar to an inhalator battery by chance?
