I read some comments regarding this unit to be equal or better value than the Crafty, and I beg to differ.
Crafty is on a whole another league, not even going to say why.

Honestly storing your stuff in sealed bags is the best. Vapor resin stinks and I can smell it from far away even after a single use on a fully cleaned piece. Car travel is very important to have stink proof cases if you get pulled over.

Vapor resin is usually a light brown. It's always going to build up if you regularly use any device. Go buy a car airfreshner and throw it in your bag with the vape to hide most of the smell. ISO will clean it and get rid of the smell but it will be back after several uses , there are companies that also make smell proof cases , maybe try one of those .

No, vapor resin is usually amber or a similar color. Darker as it gets thicker. White is usually water.

The unit smells less than the vapor path, but it smells, as do you, your clothes, the car you used it in and so on depending on how sensitive your (or their dog's) sense of smell is. Cigarette smokers don't think they smell, ever sneak up on one of their closets? Reeks, doesn't it? That's how non smoking parents bust a kid for a few puffs on a friends coffin nail the night before.

No, thorough sanitation (if possible) will last until the next use. Note the post you quote? The OP wisely said "Vapor resin stinks and I can smell it from far away even after a single use on a fully cleaned piece." He ain't alone. Isolation is the best route open in extreme cases, and that can be a problem when the dogs come out (since the case will pick up some smell).

The only way to get rid of the smell for sure is to replace the entire unit and never use it. Everything less is a matter of degrees. There is very real risk, one you might not be able to judge well, and can lessen, but not really eliminate.

There is no vape out there that has no smell. Just the ones that haven't been used yet. Keep your vaporizer and the mouthpieces clean, that's the only thing you can do. Cannabis has an odor and when it's in your vaporizer just heating up is when you smell it the most. There's no way around it.

I have stayed in hotels without any problems regarding any smells from any of my vaporizers. I haven't tried the Air yet. It smells less than some of my other vaporizers. I doubt if I would have a problem.

Like @OF said I'm not interested in hearing how much better it is without actual reasons or data... Just my opinion, but I would like to hear why you think it's worth double the price?

It seems like quite a few people want to see a legit comparison between these two vapes, but no one seems to be willing to say anything bad about their new $450 toy

Did anyone notice that the smell of weed sticks to the glass stems(especially the plastic part)? I think the smelliest part is the little rubber filer that you find inside the black plastic part. Do you guys know any way to remove all or most of the smell? I cleaned it with soap and iso and the smell is still there. Will soaking it in 90% iso for 30 mins do the trick?

Order a couple plastic storage tubes from Planetvape. They work great for storing the glass stems to protect from breakage and as a smell proof storage container. I have 5 of them and they work great!!

Yes, soaking and agitating yor stems in ISO will essentially get rid of the smell, but it will come back after your first use. Order a couple of the Planetvape tubes and problem solved

I really hope they come out with shorter travel tunes for the air stems. The travel tube is barely too short to fit 2 air stems in, and definitely oversized for a single air stem. It's also what I would suggest getting, just hoping for a shorter one also

Good point, it would be nice to have size specific tubes with the Air in mind.

I don't think the best vaporizer has been invented yet. I really doubt it would be a portable anyway. We all will have fun trying to find it though. The Air is a wonderful portable that's nice to have on hand. Just bring along some batteries and you'll be good to go. The odor is really a non issue.

I checked yesterday and still no car charger or a battery charging dock with Arizer. The skins are OK but I like mine without the bright blue skin I bought. I haven't noticed any scratches so far, it seems to be holding up.

I do prefer using the longer stem because it adds to the vapor path. The upper temps are too much for me. Just using Blue 356, White 374 and finish off on Green @ 392 degrees.

I think most of the guys say it's better bc they would like to justify the high price that was spent on it. The air has not been out long enough to start saying what's better than it . I spent the money and owned a volcano for 5yrs , it was a great vape but than I purchased a Arizer extreme q and have not looked back. To me it's better in so many ways and I sold my volcano. It's really user preference in my opinion. I can say 1 thing , once that battery dies in most vapes it requires to be sent back to the company or if it's out of warranty and years later well goodbye to that vape if yA can't replace it. The air simply unscrew the bottom and drop a fresh cell right in there. I def think if so many people want to jump in here and claim what's better or worse , start a new thread someplace else in the forum and state some facts/opinions . This is not the place for it , this is the spot for the air and air only. Sorry I have to defend the Arizer bc people are jumping in here and stating things some don't agree with. Just start a new thread in the right section.

Don't hold your breath. They are really blanks for soda bottles (to be heated and 'blown' into a mold). They are made in huge quantities to standard size so we use what they decide (or decided).

Tooling costs to make them for this application would be scary high. We need other alternatives. Like maybe this one?

Smell can be greatly reduced by using water cured bud, great for confined spaces etc, but tastes off nothing.
I have decided not to buy the AA for now as i still love my SOLO

Let's try to explain what I've figured out, about Power On the Arizer Air.

Just after you Power On the device, the upper led will glow, this is the battery level, from Blue to Red.
Then the upper led will blink Blue, that means, device ready.
Now you can press upper button to choose your temp.

Are you speaking of a brief led flash at start-up that shows battery level? Before the blue light shows standby?

Those look great OF, but I know some of us use the PV travel tubes not only for smell proofing and protection from breakage but also for cleaning purposes. It's easy to put a little ISO in the tube let it sit then gently shake and agitate the stem a bit and comes out perfectly clean while using very little ISO.

The problem is that those containers from tap plastic look like they are a softer less durable type of plastic than the PV travel tubes. I was wondering if they would hold up when exposed to ISO without degradation and release of toxins? Your thoughts?

They are polypropylene, softer than the travel tubes (which I think are HDPE?), but IMO 'plenty tough' for most uses (including this one). If you 'egg' it sightly it holds both stems very securely (yet the lid still snaps shut). Since this is the same material used in Lab 'squirt bottles', I suspect it's fine with ISO, but I'm not recommending it for that as I haven't tried it. I'm suggesting it for a 'vapor tight' storage thing. Not that I, personally, have such a need.
