Saw a few pages back steama said it comes with a pre-charged battery so it's good to go directly out of the box. Is this correct?? I recall having to do 2x burn in runs (12 minutes each) on my solo before I started vaping!


Also, somebody asked some good questions earlier and I'm also curious!

1. How long should I have the Air on for before inserting the stem?

2. How long should I let it sit once I've inserted the stem?

3. What will the outcome be if I take a few hits but don't want to finish the bowl? Can I just leave the stem in there, and then heat it up a couple hours later? Or do I need to remove it and mix it up and let it sit separately?

@Chainfire I already stated above that my battery needed to be charged for a couple of hours before it was fully charged. I'm trying using heat level white 374 degrees with the stock stem again it doesn't seem to be too harsh. The blue and white temps seem to be the best for me, that would be 356 and 374 degrees. I need an extended air path like the Solo stem for heat level green that is 392 degrees. That's just me, it may not be that way for you.

This would be a handy little unit for medical patients that are incapacitated and need to stay in bed. With the extra batteries that would really be a plus. Eventually I'm hearing of a charging dock for the batteries. Now the batteries need to be charged within the vaporizer while plugged in.

The ABV seems to be evenly toasted.

I have a particular vape that will go nameless that requires inconvenient bowl stirs about every 3 to four draws. It is very nice to enjoy a session in the air without the need to stir.

The air has surpassed my excellence test so I don't mind spending more money to order a couple more batteries.

So nice to hear that it doesn't require any stirring. I think that was my last concern and can't wait for mine to arrive!

Wait so doesn't this mean arizer has cracked the code of efficient vapes that run off a 3.7v single 18650. Someone could reverse engineer this, connect it to a 510, and roll around in the money.

@Stonedvapgineer : several recently released vaporizers fit this bill. That includes in no specific order and non exhaustively: Goboof Alpha, Pharmacor INH05, S&B Crafty, imag+, FlowerMate V3 (aka Atmos ???) etc. I dunno what's in the Pax but it could be the same too?

They all use 3.7v batteries but they use lipo batteries, not that they couldn't be used to run an ecig, but the air straight up uses replaceable 18650, it's basically already there. It may be just what eveyone is reporting only a week after the vape was released, but everyone is saying the vapor quality is better on the air than any of the other ones, time will tell.

I guess I don't follow what the issue is. 'Does it come fully charged?', no it should not. In any event fully charge before first use.

If it's about stems, put them in whenever you want (before or after starting heating). Some guys pull the stem when they stop the session, some take another hit or two as it cools in place, your call. Solo (and therefore presumably Air) is very tolerant of technique, you should experiment and find what suits you best. Within limits there's no right or wrong way to use it. Follow the results you like, you'll get there.

OK, now I follow. You understand that that has to do with the cart, not the power source? If you have such a cart you can drive it with any number of supplies. IMO Solo or Air technology would be poor choices since they would need to carry the temperature sensor and support electronics in the cart, right where the hot part is. For carts open loop vapes are a better call I think. The original D9 "Eight" (basically a one piece 18650/electronics/herb chamber deal about the size of the Air) failed big time, for such heat reasons partially.

Such a wonder device does exist as an open loop cart. The TV Evolution is a 510 thread true convection herb cart that didn't get great sales, I believe in major part because it took too much skill to get good results. Not a tool for the masses. And it takes a LOT of power (like 20 Watts) and therefore basically called for two RCR123As at 3.0 each to make the form factor. There's also Bender, which is 601 thread (easy to 'fix' with a cheap adapter), but it too has power needs past most 510 supplies. And has it's own set of issues (control electronics too close to the hot part).

And there's the T1 (also 510), but it takes 30 Watts. No way on a single 18650. Which is why Evolution was made (lower power needs). Dropping it much lower just didn't work out......not that it wasn't exhaustively explored.

Put another way, this has got a lot effort expended fighting reality (both serious designs and 'quick and dirty' e-cig based junk) . I just don't see it happening in a 510 cart of the sort most guys wish were available. The rules of Capitalism say if it was possible someone seeking profit would make it happen. Thus far, nada. And I'm not holding my breath.

No? What part are you going to reverse engineer, the heater? You need the PCB to tell the battery how to heat up the heater and maintain the temperature. You can't just move everything over to a 510 and put it on mechanicals/regulated mods or whatever. With high-wattage regulated box mods becoming cheaper (100w for under $100 now) we may see a 510 cart in the future but it won't be based on this design.

Yes it is IMO a great vaporizer that takes this into consideration (like the solo). There are other portables with melting problems which IMO seems more sketchy than the arizer portable products. There are other portables that also use high quality materials but few in this pen form factor.

If you go with an Arizer product, you have a quality vaporizer. I've only had my Air since yesterday. So far I am very happy with my purchase. It's equal IMO with vapor quality on par with the Solo. The battery is said to last for about 50 min. I haven't run mine down yet. You can use this unit plugged in, that's always a plus. It feels like a sturdy unit. I would recommend this unit for a medical user.

Also this unit doesn't use a lot of herb. The herb chamber is on par with the Solo - same size.

The price isn't that expensive $259. I'm sure it will be on sale again. It's more portable than the Solo.

Sometimes all we have to go on is a companies past reputation. I was willing to take that gamble with the Air. I know the Solo is a stellar product.

I did use my PVHES stem with this unit and it worked great.

Just order the charger for the persei, which uses the same batteries. It will charge 2 of the 18650 batteries at the same time. The solo would be a perfect combination for persei owners, since they already have batteries/charger and it's only good for concetrates (hercules sucks balls with flowers).

Agreed, arizer is an amazing company. I had a Vtower I used for like 3 years that stopped working. They had me ship it back and replaced it with a new one without a hassle, even though it was well out of warranty. How can you go wrong with a company that makes such fantastic vaporizers and has great support as well.

Got my Air today. Amazing little thing...hits as hard as the Solo and tastes better IMO.

I don't find the draw restriction too bad either, certainly better than my M1A1 Solo so excellent news there!

I ran it through my Jhanpixel bubbler on max temp and the flavour was still good. This is what happened...

Guess my cat wanted to check it out too!

Received my air last night, have only had 2 sessions with it but for now my vas has officially been cured!

Right away I was blown away by the size of it, easily pocketable with a stem loaded... Hell it's smaller then the ecig I always carry.

I am very happy I got 2 spare batteries and the 4 battery charger posted earlier, this is a perfect setup for me. I'd much much rather carry a few extra batteries then a whole power bank like I was planning with the mighty

Taste is better then the SS solo I had, and surprisingly on par with my ceramic bowl solo!!!

I'll post a vid with my octopus recycler tonight and get into a little more of the review after work.

All in all best session Vape I've ever used, I'm in love with my AA

Edit- I also must say I really like the carrying case, fits perfectly into my ryot case all packed up so I can just detach it and have my air with 2 stems on the go, big big fan of this vape.... I feel bad for anyone who opted to not get in on the sale
I must say that even with the short stems it is less irritating on my throat then my ceramic solo at high temps

Yeah, that's the killer setup. Charging in the Air is pretty slow, especially when you use it plugged in the battery is doing the one step forward two steps back routine. Much better to charge 3 or 4 batteries and just hot swap.
