I wonder how Arizer would try to check such a thing indeed, I think the only thing to keep in mind is to use batteries of the same length so the spring doesn't get compressed too much, which if it is used as a safety feature might cause issues like OF mentioned on the previous page
Please be careful quoting me, I said that was
one of the potential problems I saw. There are others, some I've mentioned as well.
For the record, OAL is not the only potential issue I see. Nor is blindly matching numbers proof of compatibility, it's more complex than that.
Until we know more, I maintain
the only safe battery is the factory one. The maker has said there are safety issues using others (without saying exactly what) and has said using any of them will
void the warranty.
Until then (when we know more) I think chat about what
might be good (which could lead folks to try) is not responsible. If you want to do so I suggest a 'disclaimer' to the effect the maker warns against it on unknown safety grounds and will void the warranty if you do should accompany?
IMO too many innocent guys think 'I read it on the web' is proof it's a good idea.
