Yesterday the little lid thingy on the top of my AA broke off. I have never had any need for the lid, but I have also only used the AA at home. I would imagine pretty much everybody breaks this piece, and that it has no real purpose.

Is there any reason I might ever need to replace this thing?

When I use my AA, I tend to be outside. One of the stealth-related virtues of the unit is that as soon as I pull the stem out of the oven, I can slip the capped stem into one pocket and the unit itself into another. Once or twice, not being careful while sticking my hand back in to my pocket to retrieve the unit, I have placed my finger directly into the oven. No burns yet, fortunately.

So, a while back, there was a useful discussion of the advantages of drying and some lively experimenting with techniques.

I still love the mini cast Iron pan, and don't mean to slight that effort, but it occurs to me that a desk top coffee warmer might be just the ticket, for instance:

They run about 17 Watts, a bit of experimenting should get you to the 'right' temperature (insulate to raise, vent to lower). There's even a USB powered option, but it's about 1/3 the power.......should still work fine?

I've been fooling around with all sorts of "heat set up". Once you put your mind to it, you realize there many good heat sources (since we're only talking about 20 or 30 degrees). The cast iron pan, different bulbs, distance, is kinda fun to play around with, but in the end, work. I have a few ideas, but a desk top coffee warmer might be a "mama bear" - just right. I'm moving my vape station / desk, and will have a new lamp (desk top lamp with counterweight and dimmer switch). I can probably lean it right over my "pan", or Cvault, or raise lower dimmer, and bingo.

my "easy flow bubble mouthpiece" has just arrived. it doesn't look very well made at all. if you wipe across the line with your finger, it will disappear. but i can deal with it, if it works.

i'm a bit busy at the moment. I'm going to test the stem extensive at the weekend and post a short review.

Hey guys been a while.. Still loving my AA. Got an extra battery, external charger and some accesories. Just waiting on the bong to come in from DHgate.

This is the Silver surfer whip and mouth piece which fits perfect and makes it feet like a home vape plus it's great with the belt clip.

The stock solo stems fits and works great too. Very happy with my set up.

Looks nice, even if a bit off center. Is the mark just painted on?

While I don't have that particular stem, I do have several very similar (without the Air bowl, perhaps from the same maker in China??). Mine don't have fill lines, nor IMO do they need it. I simply invert the over filled WT over the sink and blow all the water possible out by blowing in the bowl end. The water still trapped is basically the ideal height. You might try that?

Greetings fellow Air-heads!

Eight weeks in to my Air, there is not much I can say that hasn't already been said, this thing is amazing. I'm finding that I prefer the stock stems with the plastic tip on white for "on the go" and the 14 mm gong from puffitup with the knockoff pinnacle water tool from dhgate (thanks to @CarolKing for the link to sunshinestore or whatever it's called) on yellow for use at home. I also have the PVHES Vortex, but I'm not really finding myself using it, I think I actually prefer the draw resistance of the stock stuff.

I did discover a nice way to keep the material for use on the go or at home, which is to use a pair of 20 mL glass vials, commonly referred to as scintillation vials, one for the fresh supply and one for the ABV. I can load via aspiration (inhaling while the stem is inside the vial) no matter how windy it is! Unloading is equally easy by putting the stem in the ABV vial and tapping a few times (helps to do it while it's still warm). The two little vials fit perfectly inside the stock carrying case, so I usually have that with the vials inside, mouthpiece and extra battery in the side compartments, and the Air itself separate (sometimes keep it in the skin for protection, but I take it off for use because I prefer the smooth feel in my hands).

If you work anywhere around any kind of lab, the things are literally a dime a dozen (okay, blatant misuse of the word literally, since they are actually probably about $0.25 to $0.50 each), but there is probably no way to buy just a few, you really need to work or know people who work around some kind of lab doing pretty much any kind of chemical or biological science (they are very common). So I guess this makes my discovery of somewhat limited use to the community at large, but hopefully it helps someone who is in a position to take advantage of it.

ordered a bent solo stem a while back but it was broken on arrival. Got a new one now - quite a different model. Haven't seen one of these yet. It has a slighty different curve, an extra hole in the upper part and those carves we know from several PVHES' or GonGs. We will see if it adds too much air... draw restriction is definitely not an issue with this one (I find the stock stems the best and don't need less restr.). Don't chase clouds either, but I guess the taste will be thinner. Hope one good side effect will be less irritation to my throat/larynx/mucous membrane... they suck pretty much when using the air (even on low temps) lately... Micro Bubbler didnt help

Are those holes domed on the stem side of that piece (opposite the bowl side where you load)?

I'm not sure that's a useful modification to the original. I'll be curious to hear what you have to say.

I haven't gone screenless in forever with my AA, but I remember that once I started using the domed screen there was a noticeable element of diffusion provided by the space between the stem holes and the herb sitting atop of the domed screen. Minor perhaps but the increased air space was noticeable. Seems the screen will still sit further away from the heat source (if I'm seeing in that pic what I think I'm seeing--a dome built right into the glass) so maybe it will be the same difference in the end.

A few questions for the power gurus:

I just got a Nitecore D2, which seems to have a "normal" setting where it charges at 500 mA and a "low" setting that is at 300 mA. I understand that the slower the charge,the better for the longevity of the batteries, but my question is whether 500 is low enough or whether I should always go with 300 just because I can?

Also, from what I can see, it seems that the current slows way down when the battery reaches its maximum capacity, but I can't tell whether it actually goes all the way down to zero amps once the battery is fully charged. Does it indeed stop charging once the battery is full, and if so, does that mean that I don't have to worry about leaving batteries in the Nitecore because they will not keep getting a current once they are charged, or do I still need to keep an eye out and remove the batteries once they are charged?

Also, related to the last question, if I got a brand new battery, can I do the initial "overcharge" in the Nitecore or is that best done in the Air itself? Depending on whether the Nitecore keeps a current going on full batteries, I'm guessing that I can either overcharge the new battery in it, OR I can leave charged batteries in it, but NOT both!

It is what I would like the Solo to be back then in the days but I would rarely pick it if a Vapman (or any other modern lighter-powered vape really) was right next to it… Maybe if my girl was asleep next to me… Maybe…

@Quetzalcoatl: I didn't order it basically... They came to me as a replacement for a broken standard piece from a local seller here in GERvapy. Strangely, they don't list that item and I don't know why I've received this model... The other stem on the former picture is a knockoff from the original stem, same design.

@GetLeft: No, I guess the perspective I chose was bad. There's no glass dome thing. Hope these ones give better impressions.

If my throat wasn't so bad, I'd check it out - maybe the kick hole is a nice gadget...
For now I stick with the pinnacle bubbler.

I've tried my AA once or twice with friends, each time probably in less than ideal circumstances. On neither occasion was I nor were they impressed. That's one reason why I bought a plug-in.

So I guess it's not really a "party" vape. I hadn't observed that to be a deficiency 'cause I'm basically a scroogey solo-vaporist.

But holy cow. As a vaporizer for the vaporist who stacks a properly stacked stock long stem bowl and sets the unit to white (and I only say white because that's what I did tonight--I'm more prone to the lower blue temp than to the white temp on my AA, even though both are far away from the upper level AA temps): effing unstoppable hits. I mean it. Effing maxo good hits. And I'm not looking for them. I'm not seeking them out. Or longing for them. It's real simple. They're just there, man. It's a killer vape. Maybe not with two or three people hitting on it back to back. But on your own for a delicious kick back adjustable etc. sesh? I'll put the AA up against... Well I'm a noob. So I won't go too far. But it kicks ass.

Still, respecting the opinions of everyone here. My experience may not be everyone's.

I guess getting it from Randy at PIU for 169$ is a good investment.. You can get a spare batt., water tool etc. and be well equipped for around 200$.

If you don't need a stealth portable (but still "portable") check out the Zion (released in Oct.).

I got to say i am really pleased with my Arizer Air. I had and INH005 which broke and the company refused to replace it after long trouble and then i bought this and i am more than pleased with my purchase. A friend of mine has 1 ascent 1 INH005 and 1 Air and i cant remember the last time we used the ascent or INH on vaping party nights . Recently i was in amsterdam and purchased 2 extra batteries and 2 stems aswell from the Azarius smartshop. 1 stem was long straight and one bent both had cuts in the bowl for extra airflow and holes for temperature release in the vapor path.
