Tafée Bowle

I've really been loving the TB since my battery has settled in, I find my rituals with it very comfortable.

However, over the last two nights I have noticed the draws timing out earlier and earlier on the lower temperatures. I was starting to think it had a draw monitor and that on lower heat settings I was drawing too slow because it only happened on 1 or 2. Then it started to happen on 3 and last night for the first time I've noticed on 4. It unfortunately drove me to putting it away last night, I wasn't in the position to watch what it was doing and it was timing out too frequently before I got a hit. MV to the rescue!

I think I'll do a complete reset and see what that does for it, but that hasn't sounded like a solution for this issue.....and no replacements available at the moment, bummer.

Try the press and hold draw method. I started this recently and and sticking to it for a bit to see how performance changes. It should remove the premature shutoff issue.

Another pot! Why not? To help get me to sleep 😴 this improved Bowle I want to keep! ........... so freaking lovely

For me smoking will always have more initial intensity, be a little rushier, feel a little more sloppy and loose, but it also has a steeper drop off, more burnout, harsher. You have to ask yourself is what your gaining worth what your giving up? For me the answer is yes but I'll always think of smoking as a old friend....... who's a bad influence and gets you into bar fights and other shenanigans. But if you mean no tobacco by clean bong hits I might not be the right guy to answer the question as I was a batch smoker and though I switched to vaporizing my weed 2 years ago I continued to smoke tobacco along side my vaping, only breaking free recently, last Monday was my month off anniversary. So right now I too am relearning what weed feels like yet again and I'm liking it 👍 The Bowle was my reward for quitting smoking and to baby step my way through a load, really taking my time but that's not to say it can't deliver fat rips at high temp and you can burn though a bowl pretty quick if you want.

And it wasn't all leafy and chlorophyl tasting lol got you like 10 times as high as the outdoor ditch weed you normally had!
also please accept my :tup:,well done brother!
It's not easy to make the" I Quit step", but very much worthy making the step.......you will get higher than ever very soon, after hacking up and getting rid of the tar coating covering smokers lungs.
(own experience.)
and I'm following your honeymoon with the TB.
I really want one to but I think I should wait a bit longer till all childhood learning curve, is over.
as there's no way I can send back and forward to Canada from here in New Zealand.
much Mana wished to you for your staying quit journey💪🤛.

I received my 2nd Bowle yesterday. The ABV isn't as dark as my first device, which is nearly black. it's dark too, but not as dark as the first one.
Unfortunately, I am only a high temperature player and unfortunately too perfectionist.
All parts are unused except for the electrical unit. I think I'm selling my bowle for 299 even though it's like new because i am too perfectionistic :(
to get it dark as the othet unit i definitely must be stirring it

I agree with @stickstones , the press and hold fire button technique may resolve/and or side step your problem experience

I be wishin for no more mystery heat cutoffs, but wishin don’t make it happin , but I be a patient bitch, hoping for improvement. Positivity rules...right?
I find it interesting that even Bruno said the intended way of using was the press and hold
method. Since watching that video, I’ve been employing only that technique.

two Bowles have been sharing the workload, trading places every hour or so. The newer one seems identical in performance, so maybe I'm lucky. Only one shutoff instance with newer unit, and older one has been behaving better, once every other day

Yes, I still do the tap and draw style. My finger/hand tremors get triggered when holding a trigger button down. Guess that's why I gravitate to vapes without button holding. Feel sorry for my other vapes, their batteries must be dying slowly from inactivity

yes you are right. but i did it the same way like my other.. ;)

I would still spend more time testing, it is tricky comparing two of the same vape, at least my experience with any on-demand vape, there can be so much variance even when they are not artisan crafted, the assembly line has so many moving parts??

I'm happy to report that my friend loves his Bowle. Absolutely praises it.

Thank God cos he almost did not receive it, due to shipping issues. I wanna forget about this ugly experience so not gonna elaborate.

His desktop is a VapBong that I also helped him purchase. He wanted something cordless but not necessarily portable enough to bring outside. Both of us only vape inside our own landed property so portability outdoors is a non concern. Its mainly for moving about indoors. I felt the Bowle was perfect. Turns out, I was right. Haven't heard him complain about battery yet but I did give him the heads up before purchase.

I've left my Bowle alone for a while. Other vapes took their turn. Am about to start a Bowl on the Bowle. Figured I'd drop in to post another satisfied review before going Bowleing! Lol

I will try out more the electrical unit. the ABV is only slightly brighter than on my first device, not much !! but I'm too perfectionist ... I'll reset the device again, maybe that will bring something. otherwise I will keep it if it is not sold;) and i think i will try the new stem too, maybe it bring a little too

Unfortunately, that is how I use it. I've tried the tap and draw a couple of times, wasn't for me.

I haven't posted since this while I watched how this one behaved, it's been very inconsistent. First pot yesterday went off without a hitch that I noticed.... Last pot last night got finished in my MV because it was timing out quick enough that I was just barely getting a hit.

Still loving it when working, but it seems to be getting worse. I'm taking it out with me today for more testing with an IO as a backup, what has the world come to!

Last night I started at level 1 and temp stepped to level 3. Got distracted and forgot to take the hit at level 3. When I got around to taking that hit I lost track of having just moved the temp up and as Britney Spears would say....."oops I did it again" and took too long a draw. I didn't even feel the usual tickle signalling I had gone too far but when I finished drawing .... I could barely hold the hit. The second I started to exhale I could see the vapor thickness and briefly wondered why my lungs weren't fighting me more. Not to be disappointed the burn arrived and brought its cousin, the coughing fit. No snot bubbles this time though

I was vaping PCB x Animal Cookies (Indica) for the first time. It's one of Trulieve's top tier and I noticed that it seems to be one of those batches that produces decent vapor longer than usual so maybe that added to the adventure because even with forgetting I had moved up ..... I wouldn't expect a hit like that after having started at level 1. I'm going to keep an eye on this strain and see if my first observation holds.

In the meantime .... coughing up a hit like that doesn't happen often although it might seem that way from my posts but it does happen more often with the Bowle than my other vapes. For me it's not the heat of the vapor, it's the coolness, vapor thickness, dryness and the lack of an early warning system.

Am I the only one getting caught off guard at times by the Bowle's lack of irritation during a big hit? I hope not because I've been at this for decades and would hate to think I've got lightweight lungs.

I've seen some interesting suggestions for new functionality and add-ons .... my 2 cents....I'd like to request that early warning system.

I don't know even on level two I don't find the vapor that smooth, to where I don't know what I'm inhaling lol

Little tip I discovered, if you are tapping the button to inhale without holding it down, but your sensor is not super sensitive like mine so it doesn't shut off right away when you stop drawing, you can turn off the heater by pressing both buttons at the same time to show you the current battery level... That will take you out of the heating, without turning off the device, or waiting for the sensor to realize you stopped drawing... So now I can properly clear my hits this way, opening up new versatility for me!

I haven't really had that problem, but I have found a few strains that seem to sneak under the radar with my TB that caught me a little. My bigger issue has been testing and watching when the unit will shut off, it's invoked a few very long, slow draws that I deserved what I got from them, both good and bad!

On that note, in two pots today, I've gotten two very different sessions from it. The first was pretty stable, two hits at 2 without issue, third hit at 3 auto shutoff on me about 3 seconds in, and before vapor production. Two more hits killed the smaller bowl without issue again.

The second pot was all over the place with the auto shutoff kicking in on 3 of 7 hits it took to clear a very small pot. It was disappointing and made me sad.

I hope that a reset will hopefully help you.
did I get that right, you've noticed a drop in performance after a short time and your first thought is to buy a new one?
instead of being very disappointed and turning them away from it? wooow that must be real love. and i can understand this love !! i get my 2nd unit this week. But as I said, I hope that the problem with the device will be solved again for you

I'm not sure what I said in that post in the direction of buying another unit, but I have mentioned it in prior posts. I wouldn't say a drop in performance, but rather an inconsistent reaction from it that makes it hard to use at times.

I think it's time I reach out and get an official stance on this behavior and if it's a candidate to send in. If so, yes, I think I would order another and wait to send this one in until it arrived. When working it delivers very good vapor in a on-demand form factor that really works for me. And I've grown found of it's ritual of use already, the only thing holding me back is a custom P80 in production

that brings nothing. Even if the difference in the ABV is only minimal, I still try to use 15 mm screens that will hopefully hang higher and the herbs will come closer to the heater screen will come in the hope that the ABV will then be even darker. Unfortunately, I received new 15 mm screens and can't find the bag and I have to buy new ones. maybe I accidentally threw it away with the box

I have been testing and while I cannot get 100% repeatable results, the turning off mid draw/beginning of draw seems to be more common when the user begins to draw before the blue light changes to green.

I'd agree, it's not consistent, but it's much more common when I tried that. Then again, it also did it very infrequently to start and has been increasing in occurrences.

Now I understand our miscommunication.

I meant, if I were to send it in, it was mentioned that there were no replacements to replace it with.

Since then, it seems at least over person had mentioned thiers has shipped!
