a member here opend me my eyes.
it cannot be that i have to resell the device at a loss. it does not deliver the specified 240 degrees which then represents a defect.
i wanted to take the path of least resistance and not cause make any problems. but thats false.
I wrote to the seller again today (they didn't answer me on Friday) and explained again that I would like the money back or a new one.
I will update here whether @verdampftnochmal from germany answers at all and what comes out. otherwise i'll take other steps and buy a temperature sensor to check if i'm right. but i have to be right, or my first device will be have more than 240 degrees;). but then comes combustion ;)
I am a medical user and i only get the effects i want with high temperatures.
So i think i dont get a 2nd bowle, because i dont like playing roulette

Edit:
And I think that some others do not even notice such a defect, since most of them only have 1 device

Edit2:
someone once said that there are always differences from device to device, especially with on demand devices.
but then they should write 230-240 or 220-240 degress in the product description so that they have leeway. but so it is a delusion

Edit 3:
i am knowning that i dont make me friends here whit this i am wrote, but thats the truth ;)

Haha don't worry you are making just as many friends as you are losing I am sure! Your feedback here is valuable

Thought I would share some photos how I vape whole nugs in my Bowle, lovely way to experience full spectrum flavors... This Willy Wonka strain is so delicious, I am enjoying it very much, in my new TM (my second) too, where I also tried this same session style:

PXL-20210314-220911916.jpg

^Start off with a perfectly sized fresh nug, nicely damp n dense, mmm (load carefully)

PXL-20210314-221054094.jpg

^after one hit at level 3 (this chamber pot's screen needs to be cleaned again, with a cleaner screen I would start lower probably)

Screenshot-20210314-152940.png

^gently popped the nug out to flip it and reinsert (sorry out of focus on the right) for another level 3 hit (in focus on the left lol)

PXL-20210314-221715110.jpg

^emptied again, more roughly this time, started to chop it up a bit with the tool too, removing any stems etc (still lightly toasted)

PXL-20210314-222202880.jpg

^and finally broken up further in a vapbong loading funnel dish, to then reload into the chamber pot (only just realized it is a perfect fit, I was hovering it above the pot before lol)

Now I will finish it off like a normal bowl, pretty fun way to experience sweet fruity flavorful high quality fresh herbs!:cool:

Hearing great things about this vape, but can't get past the plastic cup, I just don't get it. I've never sat there vaping and said, "man, having a plastic cup on top of an electric vape would be awesome".... lol
I was right there with you. I was able to get my hands on a TB without spending any cash. Honestly if the cup makes you scoff go for just the puck when it's available again. I thought the cup was the dumbest idea too but the vape is insanely good and since getting a TB I use the cup more than I thought I would and find myself wanting the big cup.. I've had ice cream, m&m's, drinks, my herb grinder, and a few other things in the cup.
I don't know if this is applicable to you but If you have anybody in your life who does not use cannabis and maybe gives you a little grief about it this vape seems to be well tolerated by those people. My TB has become my 6pm to 8pm vape because that's when my wife is around the most. She tolerates the TB like it's a regular cup. But when I'm ripping off the VB or my TM and a jhook she will wave her hand around as if to clear the vapor. Just little passive aggressive stuff you know?:rofl:
I guess what I'm saying is the vape is for me, the cup is for them. 😉

I don't think they've made any specific claims to set temperatures. it's just low, med, high, very high

I hope I didn't confuse things......

Back around early January I posted a guess-ti-mate of what each temp level was based on some simple math. This info didn't come from Tafee. Here's the original text:

"My calculation for temp at each level is ((464F - 360F) / 3) = 35F as the average increase in temp level. One light = 360F, two lights = 360F + 35F = 395F, three lights = 395F + 35F = 430F, four lights = 430F + 35F = 465F, Rounding up to 35F causes the addition of one degree at the highest temp. I have no clue if this calculation is correct.

You can always do what I do... don't use the cup.
That's kind of my point - why even have a cup attached? Especially a plastic cup.....

love this post  I have a similar situation. Wife doesn’t disapprove, but doesn’t partake either. She is fine with me vaping, but rolls her eyes at some of my paraphernalia... she thinks the bowle is really cool. I feel much more comfortable taking this device outside, or leaving i somewhere where a kid might see it

also the cup is super useful for carrying a potter and cleaning brush. Or snacks. Or *gasp* beverages. It also makes a good handle!

Edit: mother in law is coming out this week so I will see how she likes it

I converted my wife into a stoner 18 years ago - it's great since she has no issue with any paraphernalia...but not great because I go through material faster!!....

I bought the Taffee thinking the mug would be the lethal weapon for stealth, especially in front of children.

having raised the argument with my partner, the first evening, she told me that the TM was more discreet ...
that it was too playful for the children with the leds, the rod which looks like a straw and with the noise of the suction which attracted the ear too much.

she told me that if it was "for my son" that I bought it, I could return it ... but that if there were other reasons, I could obviously keep it ... you yourself doubt that I kept it 😂

the 2nd evening, I started to put liquid in it ... we watched series ... at the end of the evening, she asked me if I had vaped ... and told me that 'she hadn't seen anything ...
I nevertheless spent 5 pots that evening !!!

personally i think my son won't know when i vape with this!
(and above all, no need to take out the grinder, the big buds and the eye-catching box!)

as for the usefulness of the cup ...
I am a very heavy water drinker ... at least 2 liters of water per evening ...
but i thought i wouldn't use this mug too much ... not reassured by having water on top of my vape ... and i thought i didn't like acrylic.

well since I put water for the first time ... I only use the Tafée with water ... it's great!
Before, I drank between each session ... now I drink between each puff 😁

then, all that to say:
to all those who have the cup but have not tried it yet ... try it ... maybe you will fall in love with a misunderstanding, as it was for me !!

water is life...
vaping is my life ...
a vape / cup ... it changed my life 😂

For crying out loud....how many times do I have to say it? It's a vodka, cranberry and vapor dispenser.....

And for the ultimate stealth....use the smaller mouthpiece. I've been told that using the smaller mouthpiece makes the Bowle look like one of those high end water bottles that you put fruit in.

Precise temperature control on full convection devices is a realllly complicated problem to try to solve.... There are physical limits to how fast these heating elements can heat/cool, so they can’t react to changes as quickly as we might like. Also ambient air temp, distance between heater and load, etc

say you are doing a normal draw on level four and the load temp hits 240*C. What happens if you slow your draw? the device can probably use something like a MAF sensor to react quickly to the change in airflow, but can the heater cool quickly enough to avoid scorching? The volcano solves this by strictly regulating airflow.

IDK. I’m sure it’s possible, but they have to account for so much on convection devices, and there are manufacturing tolerances to manage. I think this is why so many good convection devices just have different heat levels instead of selecting actual temps

Tafee appears to be trying to make an "appliance" vaporizer, for people who want something simple they can use to transition away from combustion. If you haven't done the research, temp ranges are pretty meaningless, and low to high is simpler to understand.

Yes it's easy to use, like crafty/mighty with no hard learning curve. Personally I see the cup.as a marketing trick, to make it look unique.
