First thing I would try is cleaning the threads and contacts of the deck and mod with some iso. That has always been my first step in troubleshooting with RDAs.

Hmm yeah I wonder what metal is used in these ceramic coils. Would be cool to be able to use them in TC mode.

Well ... I tried it on TCR240 to TCR300 and wattage mode, and honestly I'm very disapointed in the results. Didn't work well at all (like didn't get any visible vapor!

that is for direct application of concentrates, most likely the TCR will be much higher for convection applications. I haven't messed with the tcr much yet but I will see what works
I'm not a fan of trc or tc. I always end up getting knocked out and back to wattage no matter what atomizer or mod I'm using.
Wattage mode is great. With a vape like this wattage mode its like hitting "greens" without combustion. Wattage mode is like nursing a regular bowl.
Last night I was using the stock stem with no o ring. Mine doesn't seem to fully fit the sp and I hadn't used it much before because of that reason. But last night I used it and it provided great manual hits. I spun the stem around while hitting which probably evens out the vaping of the herb and by pulling the stem out I can add control to my draw and the amount of heat being pulled through. For home use it's great.

you know if the stempod was like 2mm taller any ground glass 18mm male piece would fit in there snuggly without the o-ring

just wanted to say thank you to DAN for great customer service, also i finally have a use for my Grasshopper,
I cut the tip off of my silicone tip and put the remainder over the 18mm side of an 18mm/14mm male/ male piece into the stempod and it IMO works better than an oring inside, much easier to put on and rarely needs adjustment also very air tight... also this makes pretty much any 18mm male fitting fit snug in the stempod
just wanted to mention this vape is an absolute beast.. by far my favorite. i finally feel like i dont need to shop anymore i am finally satisfied... 10 for 10 IMO.. the only thing i would change is like i said 2mm taller above the screen..
BTW I am currently using staggered fused claptons ss316 from AKATTAC (28*32) GA*2 WRAPPED 32GA AT .03 OHM, LIKE .19 WITH THE PAIR got 20 for $14.99 on ebay. the ramp up time is a little slower but they are robust coils. i hope i can learn to build the quad deck when one of those coils goes out, so far loving the customability of this vape.

I just received my Stempod and I am very happy with it. I didn't do too much research just watching videos and I found it very easy to use. I combusted my first bowl being stupid, I did a preheat with the loaded stem in and I preheated waaaay too long. I saw the stem turn white and I immediately drew on it...gross. I'm using the Aegis Legend in wattage mode at 34 watts and didn't get to try another setting with this fresh bowl, I took one hit at 34 watts and I am very very high. When I exhaled and tasted that vapor I knew I was gonna get rekt. I'm loving the Stempod and wish I bought it a long time ago.

Hey guys, a little question about DNA mods...
I just got a Reuleaux DNA 200 and I'm having trouble getting TC happening. I've tried the stempod profile from FCSettings but can't get any heat going hardly (and not even close to vapor) at all unless I turn the temperature setting to off. I've tried the stock ss316 profile as well with the same results. My clapton coil is showing up at .3 and I'm locking it. What am I missing here?

I have the same mod and never had much luck with the FCShare DNA settings. In the end I loaded a bunch of different TCR settings and payed around with it until I was happy with the vapor. I think you can also adjust the curves on the material files, but from what I could tell they are all straight curves so they probably don't offer much benefit over using a TCR value.

Mind sharing your settings? I'm relegated to power mode because I just can't get it to happen with tc.
Also, my settings for what's displayed in the screen don't seem to be sticking. The mod is being recognized and accepting updates and all appears correct .

I mostly use wattage mode at 45 Watts and TC at TCR 170 but I am using custom coils (20 Gauge SS 316L 7.5 wraps)

Thanks for this. I didn't realize there was a TCR override in the materials section of Escribe. Once I set it to 230 where it was working flawlessly on my Evic V2, the DNA 200 was dialed right in. Man, does it lock temp better than Tubo on Evic! I see why these mods cost so much. I lucked into mine (freebie handmedown from a friend) and it is kicking ass paired with the StemPod.

Simple is the way
Just got some 20 gauge SS316L in yesterday. Made some coils 9 wraps with 4mm ID. Like swapping the family sedan engine with a big block. Just pumps out the heat but chews through battery power in the process. They don't seem to be the most efficient even with a 3 battery mod but they pump the steam.
I agree, lower gauge is the way to go from a pure heat standpoint. I started off with MKWS 18ga from fasttech. Worked okay, could still see a slight glow with the heat I like. I thought that was odd so I measured the wire and it’s too small to be 18ga. So I went searching for more SS wire and found some 19ga Kbee Vapes wire that was true to size. Wrapped 8 at 3.5mm and stuck them in. Ohms are at 0.09 and I can now run super hot without coil glow! Weeeeeeeeee!
