EDIT: "WAS"? Poor mom...
Yeah very good tactic, something I've done but never really put words to.First third slow, then ramp up speed during next third, then release button and finish fast to get a satisfying full lung. Feel like the first part of draw is just getting load and glass up to proper vaping thermal equilibrium.
I go for cloud on first draw xD Maybe I should slow it down and help bring out the flavor. As usual, the first draw is nearly vaporless, but intensely flavorful. Been getting 6 draws with stir after 3rd.
If you use a JHook or bubbler so the load is rightside up (or I guess if you hit upside down), you can use very little amounts. You can just barely barley cover the bottom screen and sorta press down hard so it's really blocking all the holes. Great microdose setup this way without needing a reducer, but doesn't really work in a regular stem at all.Tried small load, less than half normal. Worked, but not great. Load shifts, lets too much hot air bypass diluting hit.
Just my luck, the fine print on that Banana Kush jar says "best by 9/9/18." Crap, it's expired. Now I gotta throw it out.
@ChooChooCharlie, is that the StemPod sherlock?
I'm assuming, based on your username, that one of your favorite treats is Good & Plenty?
I'm a lost soul, a victim of VAS.
Odd, had to bump up my Replay to 44w from 43w. Hmmm, haven't pressed "save puff" in a while. No, it can't be shifting gears on me because I'm not satisfied with my puff?..., nah, I must be imagining need to raise wattage. Hate subjectivity. OK, looks like I have to get off my stoned lazy ass and hook it up to laptop to watch pretty graphs lie to me. Then figure out how to load custom made profiles from @HerbieVonVapster , and let his gps guide me. Sometimes the light's all shinin' on me, other times I can barely see.
I really like the look of The Hook. (The lacewood is beautiful.) I assume you're talking about RBT dimpled glass, since I saw in a stream that Dan's working on selling one. I spoke with AJS & he said that the dimpled glass significantly reduces harshness. I'm clumsy with glass so I don't know that I want to spend $49 on a stem.
Hey man, @HerbieVonVapster has his 250C files set for his paranormal which runs 2 batteries, make sure when u upload the settings to your triade you change the configuration to “3 batteries” or it won’t operate@HerbieVonVapster - Thank you for your helpful post. Things didn't work out so well for me. Not your fault, just some comprehension/patience/ability deficit at this end. I have triade 250c and paranormal 250c, and tried loading your fcshare but incompatible apparently with my c's. Then tried Frank's, but escribe couldn't recognize his paranormal 250c ecig as valid. His Triade 250c did load, tried a session live, no vapor, jacked up to 420, no vapor. This is far too confusing and have no idea how you figure all this stuff out. Well, after a couple hours of this, I gave up. Sorry. Thankfully I had saved my original profile, reloaded, and had a 44w Replay session. Thanks again for your help, but I'm helpless.

When u have the triad plugged in, select “mod” then select “battery” on escribe.
My x is waiting until I move home. Where do I get a xl8 stem? I looked on Ryan's site and don't see it.I got the Z on Sat. & lathered it with up Ed Tnt's balm along with my Splinter & nano, & wrapped them in the brown paper wrapping from RBT. Pretty much all the balm penetrated in 24 hours, so there wasn't anything to wipe off, just ever-so-lightly buffed with a soft cloth. I did get a little balm in the 2 holes when waxing so used a toothpick to pick out. Just hope I didn't push even a nano-sized piece inside the Z.
So, having just tried it out, all I can say is that it's some hellova powerful heater.
Right now, I'm only using wattage. I honestly don't have the time to spend on learning TCR, let alone, trying to find that 1 post in 1 of the 2 or 3 threads where someone explained to me in baby talk how to download the firmware. ← This is how I look when I think about getting into TCR right now.
So, vapor-wise, I didn't do well. Should have preheated. 1st 2 hits 32w; no vapor, all flavor. Then 35 watts, still no vapor. Then 38 watts, vapor, but a combustion taste even though I didn't. Then stirred & 1 hit at 36 watts. Not as bad as at 38, but burnt tasting still. I think I may have to learn to work the wattage with my draw & firing button on the Z. Unlike the Splinter where I fire 2x, I found myself trying to work the draw & firing 3x. We'll see, as this was only my maiden voyage. Maybe my experience will do a 180° turn next time.
The one thing I do know for sure: Everyone needs an XL8r jr. stem. I think it may be a must have for anyone like me who can't handle any vapor harshness & who would never even consider getting a short stem, the vapor is surprising comfortable -- at least that was my impression the 1st time out.
