I recently was browsing Ebay and happened to find a Volcano Classic for $200. I bought it, and then picked up a solid valve kit at my LHS.
The night I got it the SSV was pushed aside and I just used it for the aroma top. I used pretty much only the Volcano for a week or so. The bags are nice and tasty.
However, A little bit ago just today, I was bored and decided to take out my SSV whip and bubbler.
The SSV hits much harder. I mean, I guess that was kind of obvious, but it's just faster.
The Volcano is excellent for when I'm feeling ill and want to lie down but still want to vape a bit. I can just fill a bag and take from that as needed. The vapor is also a bit less harsh since it's going to the bag and cooling down in there before I inhale it.
However, I think I can't really choose one or the other. Whips and bags are totally different and I love them both.
I would have just gotten an Extreme Q but I don't think the whip mode on that compares to the SSV and I know for a fact that the bag mode on the EQ is pretty lame and not comparable to the cano at all.
I should duct tape my SSV to the side of my volcano and call it the EXTREME Extreme Q
