Hi, I have a wand question. This past Saturday I bought a used SSV locally for a friend via Craigslist for $80! It's in mint condition; I met the guy in front of a predetermined gas station, it came with two wands, two mouthpieces in a nice red hemp case. A nice fellow in his early 60s on his recumbent bike. He said he just wasn't getting the performance out of it and that he ended up using more material with the SSV than he was getting smoking.
Anyway after cleaning out the wands and getting fully blitzed from the wand hash using Vito's reclaim technique (but it's all gone now) I turned on the vape last night to give her a go. Now I understand exactly what he was talking about. The performance with the wands that came with his unit just isn't there. Very wistful hits at best. So... I tried this unit with my original wand that's about five or six years old and the SSV works perfectly as it should.
My friend came over last night to get the SSV and I told her to wait a week, that I want to send her home with it working perfectly, not as a project. It's the wand, no question.
I am not 100 percent sure that the standard wands available from 7th Floor are exactly the same as the original SSV wand that I have that I'm looking to buy for the newly acquired SSV. But that's the wand that's necessary. My original standard SSV wand is about one inch shorter than the ones that came with his unit.
I'm posting two photos to illustrate. One is the vape, heater cover side facing. The other is the two wands. The one that's connected to the blue hose is my original. You'll notice that it's shorter. That is the one I need. The longer one is the one that came with the unit, and it's the one that's inhibiting real performance. Can someone tell me if this is the currently available standard wand from 7th Floor, or if the wands that came with his unit are the current standard ones? And if it's the latter, what options or fine tuning would be recommended to make this vape happen the way it should?
Thanks very much....
