Hi, I just bought a blemished SSV from 7th floor for my first vape. I'm unbelievably excited and was just wondering if anybody had any idea of how long the shipping time from the US to the UK is. Also are the blemished SSV's just any random colours, so it has the potential to come in an amazing or shitty colour scheme. (I don't care in the slightest if it comes in a bad colour, they look good anyway) Also any tips or tricks I should know before it arrives?

I received my blem ssv 3 days ago.
Its black vein,..w/ a yellow base.
All blk/yellow glass.
It took me 2 hours to find what i thought was a blemish,..it was a shadow.
I still cannot find a blemish.
They say sometimes the glass is blemished as well....
They also say it will be silver unless you request otherwise,...which delays your ssv.
$200 shipped ssv?
As far as i can tell flawless?.
Most definitely!!

Nice, I can't wait for mine to come. Mine was 210 dollars shipped to the UK but I bought an extra 10 foot lime green whip.

Always in a state of confusion and silliness♀
@exit , I leave my ssv on the lowest setting when not in use. I don't know how much heat that gives but I can touch the glass easily and hold it. I turn it up to about 12 or slightly less and have vapor in under 5 mins. I am confused to what is going on for you:hmm:.

My SSV experience since I got it has been less than ideal sadly. Or at least it does not match up with what seems to be everyone else's experiences with it. I think i need to talk to 7th floor about a replacement unit.

Good idea, your ssv seems like it isnt working right. Perhaps make a video of you hitting it, maybe you aren't doing something right. How is your grind? Are you compacting or making sure its loose amd fluffy?

I know the problem is slow heat transfer. Also it seems like every time i switch it on it takes longer for the ceramic rod to begin glowing which concerns me as well.

I can run it for like 10 minutes at 3 oclock temp and heater cover is still room temp. I could have it running at 3 oclock for 10 minutes and switch out the heater cover.

edit: I adjusted the ceramic rod myself and it began glowing almost instantly this time. Hmm....

Placement is important.

I am most likely going to pull the trigger today and be joining the club folks.:ko:

I have a couple quick questions, where is the cheapest to get a new one. I am going with Vapeworld right now using the 12% off coupon is that the best deal around? Also about the whips, I had a Vapor Brothers before and like the hands free option so was thinking of going with the ground glass. Is this a bad choice though would it be better to get the Buddha instead? I like to have sessions while multitasking on and off and not sure where I'd place the standard or spherical hot glass then, where do people place them on a plate? Lol

I went with the standard. I really like it, it gives dense hits. I later bought a spherical heater cover/whip but went back to the standard. Vapor tamers are cool, I had one for awhile, but didnt get used a whole lot. I would recommend a waterpipe of some sort instead personally, much more convenient and versatile, because you can use it at room temp. If you want cold vapor, just put ice in it.
Is there a reason the normal ground glass isn't really recommended? Do you get less cloudy hits from it?

I made a thread in the Ask FC forum appreciate any thoughts guys: http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/got-a-couple-questions-before-purchasing-ssv.12377/

You know what grokit that is what I ended up going with just got my confirmation email. :D

The guys over at Vapworld are just awesome originally got a DBV they had silver but was waiting for black. I was told if I wait for the black it'd be no extra charge...so I waited for it and got it for the price of the silver. Anyway after further research I'm returning the Buddha, and getting the SSV instead, and these guys are going to honor the free color upgrade they initially did with my Buddah on the SSV purchase. Amazing customer service.

Aromatherapy using the SSV is a very important part of my daily routine.
DSC00132.jpg

I sit 1st thing and create scents.
On Sundays, here in my community, I have visitors come to learn about Vaporizing as every other day.. only on Sunday we discuss aroma and how it can help with sp[ecific health issues like nausea.. and of course... aromatherapy lifts the spirits!

Tubing is discolored.. but clean.
Hey vaporist very nice setup what a oil enthusiast. Can you tell me more about where to get this Oil diffuser top are they cheaper on ebay or some place else? Does it matter what heating element I have as I'm getting ground glass? Also where do you get the oil? I'm not sure how it really works but could figure it out. I'll light incense every now and then this is probably easier and perhaps healthier.

Get the aromatop at 7th floor LLC
I use the less expensive "old style".. as it will clear standard and ground glass like yours well.
The old style costs much less, but there is shipping.
Read about aromatherapy and my views at Vapor Trail Aromatherapy
Where to get oils?
I did search the internet extensively for many months trying to find the best bargains.
I wanted companies I could rely on, and if possible I wanted 1 "go to" company that had the best deals on the most items.
I repeat the warning to read the fine print...
My go to place is Sprouts market in Tucson! They carry Aura Cacia, and a couple of other lines... but they are expensive....
EXCEPT for the old staples, which they have in "Now Foods" brand, and they are great quality. Read the fine print*
I will give you a couple good places to look online, but first I will share my online strategy with oil ordering.
If I can not go to a store.. I will order on line.
I look for a bargain of course.
I do not keep my receipts.. or records of places I have shopped.
This is a problem with some people that have a brain injury... Islands of incompetance
I google the type of oil that I want, and I go through a process of elimination to find my deal.
I trust that a dealer of a reputable brand of oils will have a karmic view on life's equities and deliver.
I have been OK so far.
Google Patchouli essential oil

and touch "shopping results for..."

compare prices (8 for .5 oz... 28 for 2 oz) and then zero in choose one to look at

pick the one that has the bottom line lowest price with shipping combined... some say free shipping, but charge double.
NOW that being said....
I love shopping WFMED Essential Oils.
If you want a real treat check out Ozark Herbals
Check out their bottles and droppers etc!
I loved the site that you found, Oz!
New Directions Aromatics looks good! great stuff... just watch fine print for non pure oils and decide on if the shipping is cool with you personally for THAT item!
I have had good results from Lucky Vitamin and from VitaCost
You will get the feel of it and know when you are being dealt with properly!

The old-style diffusers are $5 at 7th floor and come in a few colors,
but only work with the standard heater cover.

The new diffusers work with ground glass covers, are only available in clear, and are $20.

nvm, my connection went down.
I see that @Vitolo has it covered !

Couldn't find any info on this, but anyone know of someone fixing/replacing the pot/rheostat on the SSV? My buddies' SSV can only be either set to on or off now, no shut off range on the knob, no variation.. Anyone seen this before? He bought it from a vendor at a flea market for a great deal around 2 years ago, so I can't say if it's got a warranty or not.. opinions on what we should do? (it's limited to us 2 using it, since we're the avid vapers among our friends)
