Would someone mind clarifying something for me as far as vapor bonging with the plenty goes. As someone informed me on this thread, the easiest way to vapor bong appears to be to attatch the cooling coil to the 14mm female joint. But if you do that wouldn't you be missing the down stem that actually pulls the vapor through the water? Or am I missing something? I was never realy a bong person and this is probably a dumb question but this forum had the most knowledgeable users so I figured I'd ask here. Thanks in advance for any help.

I also hear of people removing the cooking coil entirely and interesting the unit i to a 14mm female joint. I'm still confused as to how the vapor gets filtered through the watever without a down stem.

Dude you're right, I didn't think of that because I haven't owned a bong in a while. Could you use the piece with the stem or is that too awkward?

If you aren't using the stem idk how the vapor would be pulled through the water. It seems to me that you have to use a down stem to actually ultize the bong. Thats why I don't understand why people put the until directly into the bong. Maybe someone with more knowledge can help us out.

If you are using a glass piece with a removable downstem, yes you need that downstem inserted to function. Much of the glass being sold these days have a fixed downstem, so the joint/downstem is the same thing. There is nothing to remove.

Thank you, that definitely clears things up.

Doesa anyone have experience with the Fine Screen Set? Do they replace both the screen at the base of the herb chamber and the screen at the base of the filling chamber cap? As someone who likes to grind their material very finely I'm interested in these screens. If anyone has any experience with them I'd be very interested to hear about it. Happy vaping everyone

I use one on the bottom but they are very flimsy and when I close the chamber with a lot in it I have to hold it in place so it doesn't pop out. For that reason I never put one in the top but you could put it under the regular screen to support it and have it doubled up.

I have a Plenty and Mighty (love both). I'd like to take some pressure off my daily driver (mighty) and get more use out of the Plenty, but I just can't seem to not burn through material rapidly. I know there are plenty of suggestions throughout this thread, and I've tried using less material with the pad, but just don't get the same results as a full mighty. Any suggestions?

I have a crafty and a plenty and feel the same way. Rips with less material. The pad just cooks it too fast and you get less hits so I always just filled it up all the way and used way too much for too long.

This has no sens as the crafty has a pad too....

Bravesst, could you explain how do you use the temperature with the plenty please ?

I start at about 5... slowly inching it up, until all vape gone. I usually finish before 7.

Personally i start at 5.5, then two times at 6 and twice at 7 until it finish. I didnt see that much difference between the crafty and the plenty. I am always using the plenty and the volcano at home. I use the crafty at home when i want a real small session.

I'm trying to lower my tolerance and cut back a bit, might be a good time to stick with Mighty, but I can't help but wanna use my plug in guy

.....what? I was responding to bravesst, not sure what you are talking about.

I always started right up at 7, I like the big hits you get.

Ya and i am responding to you :)

You said that the plenty's pad is cooking the material too fast but with the crafty its ok.

So i responded that this has no sens because as the crafty has a pad too it should also cook rapidely the material.

And now that you say you start it at 7 it's normal that the plenty cooks it too fast...
Begin at 5.5, then 6 and finish it at 7, you will get big hits and your material wont be cooked too fast. I did the same mistake at my begining to start it at 7.

The problem it's not the pad it's the temperature management.

I was comparing that the crafty like the mighty gets better results with less material than the plenty. I don't use the pads at all in either device. I used the plenty for almost two years and tried different things with it, I don't have a problem at all with how long it lasts on 7. My problem is I like how it hit with a full chamber and on high temp, the biggest hits possible, but after doing that for so long it raised my tolerance quite a bit. I could have been clearer in my first response so it didn't seem like I was using the pad in the crafty.

What are you calling better results ? Could you please be more precise ? Is that possible to quantify this better results in term of draws / g ? How do you use the crafty, directly at 210 Celcius ?

I get both and i didnt noticed any better results with the crafty than the plenty that's why i am asking all this to understand. Thanks.

You're welcome, I like to help and learn in the process. The hits I get with a full crafty are the same that I get with a full plenty but the crafty holds a much more conservative amount obviously but a full plenty will last a lot longer too. I pretty much keep my crafty at 385-196c then when it drops off I boost until there's nothing left. The plenty I just stay on 7 but I can't even remember what the temp range is on that.

"The crafty holds a much more conservative amount" What do you mean by that please ? Are you talking about the quality of the flavor or the quantity of draws ? These two are the only parameters that we can campare and talk about regarding some amount of material calculated in g. Level 7 its 205°C. It would be appreciate if you could count the draws regarding a certain amount in g, first to be sure and second to let us compare from our side. And try to put the same degrees on both devices before the tests. The plenty and the crafty are using the same technology, mix convection and conduction, there should be no diffrences. Thanks.

The crafty holds a lot less. If I put the amount the crafty holds into the plenty I barely get good hits. Say the crafty holds .3 (just a guess) and the plenty holds about a gram (another guess). I need to completely fill the plenty to get the same hits I get from the crafty that holds much less

for someone who doesn't smoke a lot (lower tolerance) would this still be a good purchase?

i've read that when using the liquid pad for less material, the quality of vapor isn't great and it doesn't last very long, is this true?

Yes, it's true. But I tried connecting it to a waterpipe and it turns out great.
If you have lower tolerance, I'd suggest a device that can contain a pinch of herbs, yet will smack the head of every stoner on earth - the Arizer Solo.

Ok guys I know it's weird, but I just tried again using the plenty with the arizer solo stem instead of the cooling coil, and it's performing like a rockstar! I get LOTS of cloudy hits from a very small amount of herb (~0.2)! What a ninja!

The vapor is a bit on the hot side, nothing a few sips of water couldn't fix, but still it's not as smooth. Maybe a longer stem like the E-nano has or the LSV?

I totaly desagree. The plenty holds it the same way than the crafty. I tested it.. But as you said you put the plenty straight to 7 its normal that you have this feeling. If you want to be listen because maybe your plenty has a problem just tell us with 0.2g how much you got of draws with plenty and crafty at wich temperature, let's do it Scientific with facts. Thanks.

Totaly false. With or without pad its the same. Dont take the solo my brother has it and its a really bad vap, its draw resistance is very high.. You are tired before you finish the bowl because of its very high draw resistance.

If you have a low tolerance go for the crafty or mighty because of their little bowl and their capacity to make pauses between session.

When my brother got his crafty he gave me the solo to put it on ebay ... The solo and the crafty is like the day and night..

People here are a little bit strange, they are not thinking as scientists.

What you are saying is just impossible. Changing the tip wont change the performance of the vap itself.

Some people here are stange, they are complaining about the plenty but still using it..

Personally what i have noticed is that sometimes the plenty doesnt give big clouds but when i put the same material in the volcano i notice the exact same thing, the balloon is not filled up as usual, a way clearer, so the conclusion is that it's the material the problem not the vaporizers..
