I believe I read in the thread that someone has successfully refilled an Era pod. I wondered if anyone has tried and successfully cleaned a pod?
I bought a Rubi for the refillable pods, liking it so far, but wondered if an ISO soak after a number of refills would be damage it.
I realize I should start a Rubi thread but have a feeling there aren't many people jumping on the bandwagon.

The problem is that I’m in Oregon, and have seen no less than 3 different pod variations depending on the run and who’s doing it. They definitely went into this knowing that a lot of people’s end game would be refilling, and they built a shitload of fences around it.

I would say it would make more sense for them to just release refillable versions of the Era/Juul(they’re the same damn thing with the metal cut differently so that they don’t accommodate one another’s pods,) but in Pax’s case, it doesn’t.

They themselves are not in the cannabis or nicotine industries. They’re an electronics manufacturer. So they make their money by contracting who they sell the pods to and taking a cut of sales.

I live in a city with over 60 retail cannabis outlets within driving distance, and as of right now, there are 5 places that sell Era Pods, and 3 that were but dropped them.

Depending on the kind of store you’re running, they have the potential to bring a lot of people in. But they aren’t catching on as quickly here as I think Pax might like.

There are over 50 companies selling .510 cartridges, and yeah there are some spendy ones, but aside from a few ridiculous examples, people really don’t like paying more than about $70/g. Because the stores are filled with high quality wax not in a pod for $15-20/g(after tax.)

I can spend all afternoon going on and on about how I feel that being able to take the temp down to 520(and get good hits at 550-580) makes the half gram pods last as long as most other companies 1g .510 cartridges, but they’re still a hard sell most of the time.

Anyway, back to refilling. You pretty much have to wait until a video comes out where they’re using a pod you know you have. I highly doubt that they have 3+ different designs per state, but the different branding and packaging used by the various companies doing the runs can complicate the hell out of things.

As far as the Rubi is concerned, I’ve seen it, and a few other competitors at this point as well.

I suppose when someone puts together a worthy pod using one, we’ll see a thread. I have no doubt that someone has tried at this point.

Just read the last page not sure if anyone mentioned this yet but the pods are easily drained and refilled. Pop the top mouth piece off and stick the syringe through the rubber stoppers after using a heat gun to warm up the oil. You can get most of the oil out very easily, probably easier then draining a 510 cart IMO

Does anyone have any suggestions for a smell proof case to hold the pods on the go? The cannabis derived terpenes in the pods stink just as much if not even more then flower. Especially the Jetty GSC, probably the strongest smelling one I’ve had yet. Everyone was telling me I smell like pot! Definitely need a good case.

Not sure, it came with some cannabis oil I got. I wouldn’t exactly go into a store and buy a syringe. They’re gonna get the wrong idea. There are many sites that sell empty long nose thin tip syringes specifically made for cannabis oil. I think it’s called blunt tip syringe.

By the way what does everyone think of the nativ rosin pods in comparison to the jetty, level, bloom, gold drop, etc. Supposedly the nativ pods are made with flower, not trim. I feel like I can feel the difference. The taste is out of this world and the effect does seem much more similar to flower. Love to hear what everyone else thinks are the best. I feel like with the usual trim run distillates, the effect just doesn’t last as long compared to “nug run” like the gold drop (gold label only) and nativ.

I originally only tried the original indica/sativa carts that first came out from Bloom and hated the taste. Got a Nativ OG rosin and Nativ CBD 3:1 ACDC and both carts taste really good. But damn, are they expensive

Do you notice they get you much higher then regular pods since it’s made with flower versus trim? Not sure if it’s placebo but I feel like I notice a difference.

Sorry @DMPesso for the late response, but use these pax pods for maintenance between my sessions, so i havent tried to get medicated strictly off the pax. But since the cart seems to last forever (use it at low temps and tastes awesome), I might giving it a try from a sober state.

I also see that Nativ has some gorilla glue carts too, but at $65 a 1/2g.

I’m heading over to Vegas soon and they are selling these carts for $60. Should I go with this vape or choose another for discreetness? I have the Juul and this looks a little bigger. I see that you guys are saying that it smells and that’s when I’m worried about. Delta 3d purchase might need to go down if they have a case. Wow, as soon as I clicked their website man.. geeeze.. nice. You guys tell me though.. after buying and using this, I heard it’s strong, should I go with this? If refilling, what oil or stuff should I refill it with? I’m at a complete loss when it comes to oils and liquids and stuff man. All I know is bud, bud, flowers, bud yeahhh.. if I’m looking at a dispensary menu, what would I choose?

I think the Era is super-discrete. I would vape in a bar. I'm not an expert, I've only gone through two pods, but they did not smell too much. No two states have the same company filling the pods. I bought mine in Oregon. Some have stated here that a few pods in California are very pungent, but I haven't experienced that.

Sorry @DMPesso for the late response, but use these pax pods for maintenance between my sessions, so i havent tried to get medicated strictly off the pax. But since the cart seems to last forever (use it at low temps and tastes awesome), I might giving it a try from a sober state.

I also see that Nativ has some gorilla glue carts too, but at $65 a 1/2g.

No worries! Honestly I retract my statement about nativ. The oil is good but they leak like crazy. Internally on the cotton pads and through the sides. Such a waste at that price. Out of 8 nativ rosin pods only 2 didn’t leak, that’s horrible. Not sure if it’s because their oil is so runny or they aren’t sealing the pods right, but never again am I buying nativ pods. They were one of my favorites too! I’m starting to miss the ccell 510 carts they hit better and never fail. These era pods waste a lot of oil they are just good for discreet convenience.

Have no issues with my nativ pods leaking. I dont know how to spot internal leakage on the cotton pads. I vape at a pretty low temp (615). What temps did u use on the nativ pods?

I was strictly using 600 (2nd light), never higher. You can look behind the logos where it says Nativ one side and the strain on the other side. You see those white pads? They turn brownish from when the oil leaks through the wicks and drops down onto the pads. If the pod is perfect, ideally the pads will remain white until it’s finished, but with me they either leaked into the pads, or on the sides. Are your pads completely white?

Just checked mine. They are still white. Ive been puffing on these pax pods, and they never seem to go down like other prefilled carts.

Yea when you keep them on low they last pretty long. I guess you got lucky with your nativ pod. How many puffs do you take each time, only 1? I take 2-3 large hits in a row, maybe that’s why mine leak, or I just have bad luck...

Thats exactly what I do. I usually take 2 puffs, prob 10-15 seconds duration, and get some decent size clouds....yea, i think im lucky, but will be wary of buying nativ if i find any leakage

I use these and other 510 carts on pens literally anywhere without issue like a bar, movie theater, Dave&Busters, library. It is really too easy. I am also more used to herbs and still do prefer them

Herb is always better. Most oil in pods and carts are made from trim and are highly processed distillate. You get a lighter high that doesn’t last as long as smoking or vaping properly grown flower. I love vaping in a movie theater as well, I remember back in the day we used to smoke actual flower in the theater, oh how times have changed, everything is too easy and convenient now. Definitely carts/pods are just great for on the go, I can’t wait until the day where they can create the full spectrum experience of smoking flower into a pod or cart, with all the medicinal properties, plant material, terps, everything. By the time the oil is winterized and processed to work with a cart/pod it loses so much.
