The simple science behind the box that produces such efficiency is reason enough for me to have one around. I love the learning curve on the MFLB. Makes for a fun session. I've had a few moments of combustion with mine, but it my all time favorite vaporizer. OK, I'm a groupie. lol

Having said that, I don't think there's a perfect portable vape out there. That's why I have four of them, and after only a few days with Pax 2, it is really close to being equal with my Flight Box.

No doubt, the mflb will always hold a very special place in my heart.

Has anybody found the P2 Vented Oven Lid to be of any noticeable help or is it comparable to just pressing in one side of the stock lid while drawing to get less resistance whenever you feel you need it?

I did a cleaning recently and for some strange reason my p2 is not giving me the same results after the cleaning with the same exact material. You may have replaced the oven screen at a slightly different angle? I think that can make a difference. Would be worth a try to remove & replace. (side note, I've come to agree & found that magic eraser works really well to clean Pax2 screen & especially the little titanium pusher)

I try to tilt it so it's higher at the end where vapor tube is, and also pitched slightly higher on one of the long edges. For consistency (though not important), I reference the side of Pax2 that has the lights, and tip the screen higher on that side. So, a bit of a compound tilt is what I try for.

I tried that but i will give it another go later and possibly put a tiny bend in the screen towards the side of the vapor path. Magic eraser does work great for cleaning. I did not need it though as the pipe cleaner and a drop of alcohol got it like new again. It was not super dirty to begin with.

I think the vented screen along with a less tight oven lid offers more airflow if you are sipping. If you rip it, it will feel tight.

As an aside I think the oven lid is too loose. Lends to more odor IMO, but less restriction.

This is why it's a sipper. So, though occasional inlets of air can be a nice option, cooling, etc., I don't see a lot of advantage in a vented oven lid. Possible exception might be the user who goes at very high temps.?

Nailed it. I can't imagine the vented lid actually being a positive on the vapor production. If anything it would allow the oven to go below temp WAY easier, and make it even harder to get good vapor. Then again I've never used it, I could be totally wrong.

Checked out newvape.com and see they have a bunch of Pax2 accessories - which is the most useful out of the 3D screen, pusher and vented oven lid?

Functionally speaking, the Pusher ensures 100% vaporization of the material. It also allows you to load less material, any amount really. The screen aids airflow, and as a result of its extra thickness compared to the OG Pax screen, helps the Pusher do its thang. The Vented Oven Lid is great if you like even more airflow, or use your Pax in a water device, which definitely benefit from some extra flow.

My wife and I just spent our first 1 and a half weeks with the Pax 2, and it's awesome.

We fully converted from combusting within the last 6 months - and with a recent blackout / brownout frying the circuits on my desktop unit / daily driver, we were in desperate need of a portable unit and temporary replacement while it gets repaired. Dabs and pens are great in the meantime, but vaporizing herb is well-needed when under the weather and dealing with allergies. The learning curve was met within the first couple bowls, after finding info about learning to optimize by grinding fine and packing dense. The rolled screen trick works well too when I'm only looking to pack the Pax half or 2/3 full. Now we get thick hits, packing OG Kush tested at 20% helps lol. The third party / aftermarket parts seem useful, I'll have to explore the pusher next.

Oh yeah, also a few weeks ago my family and I were visiting my brother in New Orleans for Halloweed. We drove by a place with Pax logos on white balloons - and after looking up the party, we RSVP'd and went in. Pretty sure it was the Voodoo Fest after party with Gorgon City, I wondered how often Pax sponsors parties but didn't tell my mom what Pax is - at least yet hahah anyway fun party, great vaporizer!

I recommend the pusher. I used the rolled screen and prefer the pusher in the pax 2. Partly because it's a better fit, and I find it a little easier/cleaner. It's adjustable but I find I don't really use that feature. Enjoy your new toy!

Does everyone know there is a gold limited edition pax 2? Looks great! And different color mouthpieces are available too.

My Power Bank set...

2200 mAh black, gift with car oil change, 2200 mAh blue, paid from chinese shop 5 Euro, XiaoMI 10400 mAh ( less than 20 US dollars), 2A Output, 94% conversion efficiency rate, but you can charge Power Bank AND a Phone or other things connected to Usb, WHILE still recharging...

( be careful, the original is sell only through official XiaoMI site, Amazon, eBay and other site ARE FAKE, with cheap quality!!!)

And last but no least, OnePlus 10000 mAh Power Bank ( less than 15 US dollars), two usb ( 2 x 1A or 1 x 2A), about 80 % conversion efficiency rate, and you CAN'T attach a usb while the power bank is still recharging itself...

Plus 3 wall usb ( not in photo, obviously), one from phone ( OnePlus, 2,1A) and two from Joyetech ( electronic cigarette), 500mAh...

But I still want the AC 9V charger, because it's more efficient than 5V DC or power bank... ( it's very little difference, not for charging time, but you spend less power since it's already alternate current... )

At the moment we're having to take the mp off and press many many times before it turns on and then it's hard to change to temperature control. However after warming up for a while the button is far more responsive. Sometimes in the in-between as it's starting to warm up it will still be a little sticky. My theory is that some of the res oil got under the rubber and is causing the button to stick.

Is there a way to take off the rubber layer? Will that void the warranty?

Hey guys , I've gotten some great feedback from members concerning the use of the vented oven cap for the P2.Unfortunately all opinions came from our members who have not actually tried one. Has anyone out there had any hands on experience with the vented cap & the P2? I'm dying to find out.

Ok, experienced my first drop this evening. The Pax 2 came out of it fine, but the oven cover came off, and the precious contents spilled all over the floor. grrrr.

This was my fear with a magnetic cover.

Yeah, I have one and like it. It definitely improves resistance, but that's not always the best thing. I like using the vented lid because I can cover up some of the holes with my fingers to give me the resistance I need. I'd say it's worth it.

I agree with your theory, so PM me your support case number or email address and we'll get you fully squared- definitely shouldn't have to fuss with this issue any more than just trying to turn it on without the mouthpiece and noting the change. Removing the silicone seal voids the warranty, so definitely don't do that

We've shipped/received used devices across state and country lines without a single issue since the original PAX was released. A normal cleaning will suffice, so no worries there. We've received them with full oven loads, but I advise against doing that.

Awesome possum! But I think I'll wait until after the holiday weekend to do as such. Going to visit the in-laws and the unit will be quite handy; even in the state it's in, better than not having it!
