I must be the only person on the planet that isn't all that thrilled with the Arizer Air. I spend most of the time I'm using it waiting for the temp light to change. Have never been happy with battery-operated vapes.
When I try to use batteries with MFLB, they don't give me much time before they run down. The Arizer is always having to be charged, then seems to take forever to be ready to use. I guess I'm too impatient.

End of off-topic rant.

I guess you are the only 1 bc it has a huge following here . As the member above me posted 6 sessions per battery . It gets a bit less run time then the pax 2 but the benefit is once your battery is drained you just swap it out and put a new one in. That is something you cannot due with the pax. Also you can charge and use it at the same time. I'll admit it takes about 30 sec longer to heat up than the pax but once its going it works great plus its different convection vs conduction. Both are great imo. Im sorry your air doesn't fit your needs , im not saying it is the best vape but i really do like it and if i ever lost mine i would not hesitate to buy another in a heart beat. It is also very very similar to the solo wich also has a huge following. I feel it mates great with the pax 2 . Mflb is a whole other story , that takes some good skill and patience to get me where i want to be.

Thanks for this post, Justpassedu. Again, I must be doing something wrong. Big surprise. OK, i charge it, select my temp, wait for the other green light to come on, and it takes about 45 seconds to do so. I use it, walk away for a maybe half an hour, come back and of course, it's turned off. Punch the button to turn it on, which happens fairly quickly, I re-select the green temp, but then comes the issue. I waited almost 15 minutes for the temp light to move from blue to green. It never moved off of blue. So I gave up. Tried to use it on blue, had to pull really hard, and ended up with burnt material. (I am good at creating burnt material on all of my devices.)

This occurs with a full overnight charge. No way the battery should be that weak after being left sitting for only half an hour, right?

It has auto shut off sensor that's why it's turning off. It's a portable , not made to stay on for long periods of time. If you want something that can stay on than a desk top vaporizer is for you . Portables are mostly made to be turned on , heat up , have your session and turn it off manually or if you don't turn it off auto shut off will kick in and do it for you . My best advice would be to watch a few YouTube videos .

I waited almost 15 minutes for the temp light to move from blue to green. It never moved off of blue.

This should not happen. The Pax 2 shuts off after 2-3 minutes of inactivity regardless of the mode it's in, temp setting or heating. The blue light signals that it is in standby, meaning that it is heating mode but hasn't been moved. (It has a motion detector.) If the light stays on blue for more than a couple of minutes then your Pax 2 is defective.

So just to update you guys i made a video of my issue so you get a better idea of what is happening.

Ive only had the unit a couple of month and it has worked fine up untill this morning. It does get used for multiple sessions daily everyday.

Also their response time is 48 buisness hours so i might not hear back from them for a while...

Has anyone had much luck contacting Pax for anything?

So sorry to see! That's a diagnostic indicator telling us of a problem that we won't be able to troubleshoot on your end. I'll send you a PM now, and reply back with the case number for the support email you had sent so we can get you bumped to the front of the line.

Thanks Ojan! Sent you the case number via pm.

I really appreciate you reaching out even to a new member here at FC.

Hopefully this can turn a negative experience into a positive one.

Hmmmm... Probably just made a fool of myself? :D Let me continue in that vein:

Here is my current procedure for using my Pax: It sits in the charger overnight, even if I haven't used it very much (maybe only once) during the day. The petals are lavender. After removing it from the charger (or turning it on after it's been dormant an hour or so), I click the flat mouthpiece to turn it on. The petals then turn green (sometimes they "flutter," but they are mostly the same color of green). If I understand (and frequently I don't) correctly, I then press and briefly hold the mouthpiece down to see which heat setting is on. I've only made it to this step one time. Yes, believe it. I saw that four petals were burning brightly orange. I know that is the highest setting & why my herbs are burning up so fast. But I can't seem to get to that "menu" again. The Pax turns on, or it turns off. That's it. There isn't that heat adjustment phase -- which probably means that I don't know what I'm doing or just have the wrong touch.

Help?

After you get to the temperature setting it's quick presses on the mouthpiece to cycle through the different levels (from 1 petal to 4). Then a long press on the mouthpiece and it will get you out of settings. Try that and let us know if it works for you!

It is harder to press with the mouthpiece off...ftr.
I don't normally press it without the mouthpiece, but I have tried various mouthpieces that are all new. It seems the button under the rubber has moved as it's VERY difficult to turn on even without the mouthpiece in. Usually with the mouthpiece off you can simply feel a bump where the X is. I no longer have this bump. I am still waiting for support to respond to me request which was sent on Friday. Not sure what's going on, but this lack of customer service is not a good feeling. :ugh:

Try live email chat, they respond fast there. You can also shoot @Ojan_at_PAX a pm and I'm sure he can help you out too

Press the power button for 3seconds to enter heat selection mode once there single press the button until desired temp level is reached. Then you can press the button for three more seconds or shake it to exit heat selection mode. Just to let you know all of your other light activity is to be expected and is normal, you also don't have to wait for it to turn green to change the temp

Why couldn't you just have some one here buy a pax and ship it to you? Are shipping costs THAT outrageous?

I hope you don't mind I snapped your post und quoted you in the pax thread...

It's not only shipping, but VAT is 19% and customs will charge me another ~10% which makes around 370$ in total, shipping excluded. I love the sleek pax housing but IMO it's not worth 400$.
Authorized resellers aren't allowed to ship outside U.S./Canada, so the device would probably not have any warranty and even if an unauthorized reseller could sell me a device, warranting a used vaporizer across international boarders could bring up some problems like customs and long shipping times and so on... Sadly @Ojan_at_PAX couldn't tell me if pax would give a world wide warranty for international purchases in the future for legit purchases.

Apparently pax 2 is available within the next month in Europe, I don't have further Infos yet and I'm still waiting for an answer from @Ojan_at_PAX if "vaporizer-Markt.de" is an authorized reseller to make finally my preorder. I guess I should simply wait one more month with my purchase and hope everything is legit...

PM'd @Ojan_at_PAX and still haven't gotten a response on my Pax 2 button issue. It works, but it is a pain in the butt to find the button to make it turn on. Emails to their support have also gone unanswered. :uhoh:

So sorry for the delay! We're playing a bit of catch up. I haven't received a PM from ya, on FC at least, since April so please resend that and feel free to include the case number for you email so I can be all over it!

Apologies for the wait. Still playing some phone tag with others and trying to get our ducks in a row. I'll of course report back the moment I have more info on anything related to international availability.

Hi everyone. Just got my pax 2 earlier this week. I've read this whole thread, and I have a few questions about the screens and pusher from new vape. I ordered these hoping for a better experience, just a little unsure of how to use them. My main concern is the bottom screen. It says it should fall out easily after the session. Mine doesn't seem to. And I'm curious how it's supposed to sitin the oven. Mine doesn't fit flush, it sits at an angle. Is this the way it's supposed to fit or should it fit flush, and should I push it down to make it flush? It almost seems too big.

So in the meantime I'm using the original screen with the screen trick to vape half ovens. This seems to work well, only used it for a few sessions so far. But I would like to give the new vape screens a try.

Sorry if this has been answered, I did read and didn't see this covered. I did read some on pages 32-34. But they didn't seem to answer my question.

Thanks in advance.

If the oven lid doesn't sit flush with the pusher in, try less herb. But even if it's a little up on a corner, shouldn't be too bad unless it's leaking vapor.

If all else fails continue to use the screen....hell, it's the reason I haven't got the pusher!
:2c:

Just re read what you wrote...make sure you don't have a pax one screen.
If I was using a mod screen and It wasn't sitting flush in the bottom, I would push it with as little force as possible to see if it seats.

If it didn't I would evaluate if it would be worth it to use at the sake of damaging the oven walls. To ME it wouldn't be worth it and I would just abandon the idea

Thanks for the response. For now I'm just gonna keep using the stock screen, I bent it up just a tad where it covers the vapor path. And just use the tried and true screen method.

I just had a session with this method, and using .2 I got 5 draws on 2, 5 draws on 3, and 4 draws on 4. I'm assuming this is pretty good? I know I'm nice and medicated with using only .2.

Still new to vaping so the buzz is definitely different from combustion, gonna take some getting used to, but so far so good.

I'm thinking you have the pusher for the pax 1 , I have the pusher for the pax 2 and it slides right in and falls out effortlessly every time. I been experimenting allot with it , I really love the idea of it but find the pusher screen doesn't give me better airflow over the stock screen. I also feel it takes a bit more time to start getting vapor as it is allot thicker than stock and requires more of a heat up time. As for small loads in the oven , it works great for that but my primary reason for it was I wanted a extra screen that I could get out easy and had better airflow. Maybe @NewVape can chime in. They really are a stand up company and great guys to deal with , i had spoken with them on the phone and they couldn't be any kinder and they are always looking to support us at the forum. I can't wait to see what they come up with for the grasshopper.

Yeah the pusher fits just fine. I ordered them on eBay from newvape as a package. Came with screen and pusher, maybe they accidentally put a pax 1 screen in. I'm actually getting good results with the stock screen and the screen trick. So I'll stick to this method for now.

Interested in seeing what they come up with for the GH too, not that it seems to need too much. Time will tell I'm a may preorder so I've still got a while to wait yet.

Finally got it. Only had red or siver, went with silver. Got to a shockingly sustainable solid 5 or 6, with barely any change in color to the herb. Very impressed.

Already burned my finger on the oven like an idiot, and did the session on a half charged stock battery. It is on the charger now, the wait to fully charged is much easier to tolerate after giving it a test run.

Didn't notice much of a weird or plastic taste during my first use. I used a damp pipe cleaner to lightly clean the unit before first use, after taking a few hits off the unit after reaching temp with no material, not much of a taste then either.

Mine has Simon. I forgot the oven heated during simon also. Oops. Raised mouth piece gets super warm. Had to figure out a better technique to keep the temp down, it wasn't too bad.

Just picked up a blue pax 2 today, what a beauty! Initial impressions are good, feels solid in the hand and is very stylish. However I'm not so impressed with performance, and I feel like I'm not doing something right. Even on the third heat setting, I get very little visible vapor, which is kinda surprising to me. Also, when taking an extended draw, the light goes from green to purple about 10-12 seconds into the draw. Is this normal? I feel like it's cutting me off prematurely. Again, I feel like it's user error, but the P2 is pretty straight forward, not really leaving a lot of room for error
