YouTube have already given me an account warning for grinding cannabis on film and not restricting my video to 18+. I'm sorry but i will never post an unrestricted YouTube video again.

I was referring to the video showing how the grinder is manufactured but no biggie. Looks awesome and I want one.

The fact that Youtube , Paypal etc are still persecuting cannabis "paraphernalia" and especially vaporizers causes me major rage. It is social racism and we know where it comes from.

Thankyou everyone for your support! Things happen guys, Lessons have been learnt. I guess its better now then a few years down the track!
I did manage to get all the pre order material, bearings and magnets ordered so all is not lost!

Anyway, lots of progress/improvements has been made on my grinders this week. I can't wait to share it all with you.

I'll make a YouTube video this weekend showing the latest prototype. Then ill be giving it hell for a week and if im satisfied, i will move onto pumping these things out for you!

Will the bearing be as easily replaceable by the user as it is with the 2-piece?

Sure will be mate, it's essentially the same lid as the 2 piece. Slightly larger and refined.

Omg I am so sorry, yeah you can never leave money in any of those accounts, you have to transfer them to your bank immediately, because this is always a risk, it happens all the time especially to people in our industry unfortunately...

Being frozen for 6 months is pretty unacceptable, is there any way for you to appeal, talk to someone on the phone? The person I know who this happened to recently, venmo, they were able to get the money released to them quickly at least...




Yeah definitely need to find a reputable reliable payment processor, there are a lot of other retailers here who have found good ones that may be able to help...

I'm not worried about getting the product when or anything, I'm just angry on your behalf that you don't have the actual money and they are essentially stealing it from you!

I should have said something sooner about the name, also because there is another brand called cannabis hardware, changed their name from new vape because that has so many bad connotations making it tricky to ship stuff now too... Need something neutral?

I have spoken to someone on the phone and they're keeping the money for 6 months. Its pretty standard apparently.

I believe moving away from the "Medical" and "Cannabis" wording might be a smart move on my behalf at this early stage of my business.

I have since leant about the company Medical Cannabis and the last thing i want is to upset any other manufacturers. This is persuading me even more to rebrand.

Unfortunately there's only a few merchant companies that will deal with us Aussies. I haven't had any success with a USA merchant.

I have an application with an Australian company that's willing to work with me atm, so fingers crossed i guess!

So my MEDGRIND, along with several other packages, were delivered while I was out of state starting a new job. I was so stoked to get home today and take a bunch of pics and share…if only there were any packages to open. Maybe I have a superstar neighbor who saw them out there for a few days and grabbed them for safekeeping…but I feel like I’ll never see it now

My Linus cloud has been massive for the entirety of 2022; I feel like next year is going to be a really good one for me!

Ok, Update time.

I have the old prototype next to the latest prototype for reference. This latest prototype is testing all the latest features listed below.

I have also been experimenting with less teeth in the grinding area. Less teeth promotes an easier initial start but i find the grind can become inconsistent. With my testing I have come to the conclusion that my original prototype has the best amount of teeth for grind consistency and ease of use, so that is what we're going to roll with!

Now 62.5mm Wide up from 60mm,
Added inward scalloping on the sides and top to aid in ease of gripping,
Top of the "Post" is now double chamfered (one at 45deg, one at 30deg) to make the lid pretty much fall into place now.
Bearing magnet is now pressed in from the bottom to allow for the post chamfering.
Bottom chamber is now much much bigger.
Bottom chamber now locates in 6 positions instead of 3.
New Outer teeth design on the lid to promote the herb going back into grinding area.
Chamfered holes to help promote herb to fall though to bottom chamber.

I'm absolutely stoked with how these things have developed and im at the point where i think its the best i can make these.

I feel these things are super refined and feel awesome to hold and use. I'm super excited to get these things into you guys hands!



Ok now for the semi bad news.

Unfortunately, The price of my MEDGRINDS will increase approx $20AUD/$13USD AFTER pre order due to a number of unforeseen factors (including the latest payment battle). This will bring the total price to around $105 USD after pre order.

At the moment i can still only accept bank transfer for the pre orders. I'm working with a few merchants that specialise in my industry to be able to accept card payments again.

I love the spinning top plate. The fact that it also grinds weed makes it even better, I can hardly wait.

Wow, the new one looks absolutely fantastic, all of those changes sound amazing, seems like a pretty perfect product now really! The price increase is more than reasonable, hope you can going again with a good payment processor and that the existing funds get released sooner than six months somehow!

NTN have been making bearings for turbine jet engines and the like for decades (they know their shit)
The NTN bearing has super tight tolerances and is designed to take axial and radial loads but doesn't spin as free as the "Better Bearings" and only coming in the single colour.

The "Better Bearings" are "Lickety Splits" from https://betterbearings.com.au/
Better bearings are an Australian company that offers premium skateboard bearings that come in lots of cool colours (please look at their website for colour clarification).
These bearings are sealed, come in multiple colours and spin really well.

In my opinion you cant go wrong with either bearing. I'd like to continue to offer both.

Yeah it's looking good with all the new detailing and finishing touches. That picture with the frontal view (2/7) shows how badass a piece of stainless this is. And it combines form and function graciously, the same way it combines the soft rounded shapes and edges with the hard stainless material. Curious to hold one!

@gordontreeman it's a qualitatively superior bearing that spins less and doesn't come in a fancy color.

I think we'll just see how it goes with the standard plates, then maybe our feedback can result in future plates to offer... I really like the idea of just one plate for simplicity sake, this one looks pretty versatile to me

Also I think with the widening of the diameter, the teeth should already have some of the effect of easier grind startup? Just more subtle, keeping the teeth and pattern in tact (which looked pretty good already).

Yeah I can see the cost and r&d of multiple plates and such being a lot. Just curious as this otherwise looks neat to me, I dig the pop of color from the bearings.

These payment issues absolutely suck and I hope you are able to sort them soon mate
I know that most of the community will stand by you and be here when you are able to take payments

As for anyone wanting a preliminary user feedback
I have been using one Ben sent me from the reject bin that is a few iterations before the almost finalised product
It hasn't got the finger/thumb scallops and has teeth that are not perfectly designed in length etc
Plus it has a 3d plastic catcher

Being such a beta model, I can not wait for the final pre orders to be ready
This thing has retired my bcg so far
It will grind .5 in three turns and a fourth turn to get it spinning free again

It does 1.5/2 g easily with a few more turns than 3, but really not that many at all
It is super easy to grind and leaves almost no mess at all
My bcg gets much more gummed up with sticky afghans
The grind is like an in between the bcg fine and medium plates
Very fluffy and even grind that all ends up in the catcher and not spread on the walls of the grinder

I use it as a fidget spinner all the time when sitting on the lounge
I'm always playing with it
Honestly one of the very best grinders I've used
And it's super fast to do the job
I keep having to stop myself became I want to grind all my weed
It's just fun to use, but over so quickly lol

Love having a local company enter the community and doubly so that it is with such a well thought out and attention to detail product
Good stuff Ben, look forward to the final product and look forward to seeing you grow in the community

Have been looking around for a quality grinder for quite a while, had some other options that i was considering. Importing them was what kept me from placing an order...
But suddenly this comes along?!!!
It got my attention since all these great features:
- stainless steel
- great looks
- seems to grind really smooth
- build to last

So yeah, those are some real selling points to me but if i'm totally honest it's the free entertainment promised by the spinning function that instantly made me realise that i NEED this! I will have to import it but that is no issue anymore...
I really think it's a stroke of genius to add the spinning function, just because it's possible!

Sure, i'll tell people i bought it for it's functionality but i know i'll be thouroughly enjoying the toy-aspect whilst vaping...
