I am looking at a Revolve Gen2 stem since all the positive reviews. I'm mostly looking for improved cooling over my usual straight glass stems.
I was interested in any reviews from folks who have a new Revolve and a ShellShock stem. Back when they first came out, people were all raging about the Shellshock stem and how great it was. I found the Shellshocks to be poorly constructed and with so many separate pieces it leaked air from almost every connection. The Shellshock went in the junk drawer, along with the warranty replacement Shellshock which was just as junky.
I know it's two different companies, but all the separate parts of the Revolve makes me worry about how well everything fits together and possibly leaking air. Can anyone ease my concerns?

I don’t have mine yet…but this review of the gen one beta says next to no air leak. Id like to imagine that’s only improved.

I've had a gen2 for a couple weeks now. I LOVE it. I notice zero air leaks. The airflow is completely customizable too. Highly (hehe) recommend!

It is a lot of pieces but I have noticed no air leaks. Pieces tend to snap together well. I think it cools better than any other Vapcap I have used. I'm very happy with it. While the Titanium stem on my rainbow is by far the prettiest it's also the hottest to hold as it is very good at absorbing heat. I have been using the wood stem the most.
The Revolve Gen2 is by far a better stem in my opinion. I liked the Shellshock and did not have the same issues you mentioned. However it was not up to the same level as the Revolve Gen 1 and Gen 2 is even better. You will not regret getting the Gen 2.

I have Shell Shock and the other one as well, no comparison to the Revolve and even Gen1 Revolve far superior and Gen2 is even better.

I was also wondering .. have you already decided on the colours / finishes of the reload v2? Will there be a bare metal one (that matches the revolves raw ti)?
The current colors are staying and there will be a new blue and purple which are going to be less matte than the ones on the picture.

Yes works good with both lo-temp cap and the normal, it is the 1st M tip I liked, works good with hash though haven’t tried it with hash on the Revolve. I used only IH with the M+ tip.

How close are you to release of the reload gen2? I want to order one, and I need to see if you have a silver gen 1 reload lid scratch and dent somewhere. I ruined the threads on mine. Are you still planning on some smaller narrow reload type container I thought I saw some time ago?
About 3 months I think, the smaller one should be ready before the end of the year.

The latest beta I have is still not perfect and missing a part unfortunately, but I can share a few more photos of it.
As soon as I have the final models I'll send it to the reviewers.

Nice! Are there any changes to the threads? I absolutely love the Reload--it's a crucial part of my daily kit--but my only criticism would be fussy threading. I thread things together all day long--it's pretty much part of my job description--and still I have to be careful not to cross-thread my Reload pots. That tendency is aggravated by the debowler/tamper interface. If you're not careful, the debowler will pack gunk into the hole in the center of the tamper. Then they try to unthread each other while interfering with the fit between the lid and the pot.
But really, I'm picking at nits. This thing is great, and I can't wait to see the next iteration.
Yes, the new threads should be a lot better. Bigger, stronger and looser with about 1 full turn.
The o-ring won't be visible, it will seal on the inside. There is no hole on the lid/ CCD tool anymore so that should be fine as well
