So...the post arrived today. A friend of mine here on the forum got to the point where he had too many vapes, and offered me his Lil' Bud. I said yes. And today the Lil' Bud arrived.
@Bravesst I love it. I hope you're okay that I have the first 'after-market' Lil' Bud (I think).
I can't get over how great it tastes, how cool the vapor is, and how well made and designed the Lil' Bud is. And Bud is one handsome little fella. The woodwork is exceptional and I love that I can tell it's made by hand. It's what I love about wood. There is so much skill involved when creating functional art.
I started vaporizing flower full-time last November. The 13th if I recall. I learned very quickly that I am someone who is best served by un-regulated, on-demand vaporizers. I also discovered that I have a strong aversion to plastic. I like to micro-dose. I discovered the 'craft' wooden vaporizers in December and it was an aha moment.
Today was another aha moment. I cannot get over how cool the vapor path is with such a short stem. And the flavor from first to last draw is better than anything I've tasted; except for that time when I almost combusted, but that's on me.
I've discovered I do better when I focus on the button and draw/taste and play the carb above the button by feel. I nearly combusted when I was focusing too much on the carbs and neglected the button.
Mike posted a list of things this vaporizer ticks off, and I couldn't agree more. It is the perfect hand-held, portable, all-wood on-demand un-regulated vaporizer I could imagine.
I'm not sure which batch mine came from, but mine is Walnut body with cherry button/heating element section. And the stems appear to be Maple and Cherry, but I'm not sure. But every bit of it is stunning.
If anyone has seen my guitars in my videos or website you know that I love simple yet elegant designs. Wood doesn't need to be dressed up with paint or inlay, or even carving. If wood is well worked it stands perfectly on its own. One of the reasons I love this Lil' Bud is that my favorite guitar has Walnut back and sides and a Cherry Neck with Maple & Cherry in the Rosette of a Redwood top. They will pair nicely in the studio.
This device will be well-loved and well taken care of, and given how sturdy it is taking care of it is going to be easy.
Great job Mike.
Here's that guitar I was talking about.
