I got a bunch (like ~100) of Standard SSV sized screens back when I got my SSV ~4 years ago, and I've been finding uses for those screens ever since (and I've still got enough to last me a lifetime )I just noticed last night that I'm missing my 18mm Claisen, guess I need to buy another one!
I honestly tried to get a screen into an M2M but failed miserably lol, I'll have to give it another shot, how deep are you installing the screen?
I'm getting a heady carbed M2M made by @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd...heady M2M pieces... with carb holes and colors...
I find the EQ basket is too small for me to use - I can't stir effectively with it, and still find stirring necessary
Honestly, I only gave it 2 or 3 chances before I just bailed back to my screen method - it could quite possibly just be a heat/draw speed issue?I wonder why we have such different experiences with the need to stir with the Q basket? If I had to stir with the Q basket, I'd be pulling what's left of my hair out but I don't find a need to stir at all. The ABV come out a very uniform very dark brown.
On the other hand, I always had to stir with the WPA but even with the stirring, I still got an uneven "burn".
This is exactly how I feel. I am using the male/male with the ELB and am 100% satisfied.Either way I've found my screenw setup that I like, so I don't see much point experimenting
yes i use it exactly in the same manner. my screens are 15mm diameter, thats about 2/3 inches. my experience with the eq basket is also the same, had to stirr and thats not very easy in this narrow space. plus ime they gunk up very fast and abv does not just fall out, i always had to use the pick to empty them.I got a bunch (like ~100) of Standard SSV sized screens back when I got my SSV ~4 years ago, and I've been finding uses for those screens ever since (and I've still got enough to last me a lifetime )
I have no idea of the actual size, I'd guess something like 3/4 or 7/8 inch, but
I could definitely measure them for ya if you'd like to know the exact size I'm using.
I get a nice little dome, and there's zero chance of the screen flipping or spinning around or anything, it lets less debris through than the stock WPA IME
The screen doesn't seem to actually sit on anything?
It sits just like the old school SSV Ground Glass Wands before they added the lip to hold their screens better...
It can certainly be a pain to get them to seat sometimes, if they get a bit too mangled I usually pull them out and flatten them out before trying again, sometimes they just need to be junked and switched out for a new screen, but I've had the same screen come in and out of a M2M a decent number of times - it's just a bit of a crap shoot how well they'll hold up...
I don't even remove my screen anymore, just ISO wash the wpa with screen still installed followed by a few hot water blasts will get my M2M spotless and my screen good as new
EDIT:

I could never get particularly satisfactory results with an ELB - I just assumed it was either
1 - my male joints didn't fit up as snugly as a cloud joint, and it ruined the airflow pattern or something
2 - The elb was reversed when compared to it's designed use in a cloud/EVO, so maybe that was affecting the airflow pattern?
Whatever it was, mounting a screen like I have pictured above is the only way I've had good results with an M2M...

Can't wait to have a JoDa M2M
I have both the Plenty and the LSV and for me I would take the LSV any day. Build quality, efficiency (Btw, yes way more efficient than the Pax), and versatility all go to the LSV.You SOBS!! (In all seriousness I appreciate all the info here) I was completely convinced I was going to order the Plenty, then I came to FC. After the many valid points raised I can't help but wonder if my money would be better spent elsewhere. I was under the impression that the big bowl in the Plenty wasn't a big issue with the use of the liquid pad (many on FC strongly disagree) after watching the Vape Critics review. I am now back to square one and feel the LSV might be the vape for me. I simply couldn't ignore the value and efficieny (relative to the Plenty). I'm also considering the DBV and SSV. As far as priorities go I would say vapor quality (potency more than flavor) would be my too priority followed by efficiency. I realize none of the 7th Floor vapes are as efficient as a log vape, but I enjoy the more social aspect of these vapes relative to a log vape? I've owned a MFLB and a Pax, would you say the LSV is more efficient than the Pax? I also am intrigued by the LSV's ability to easily be adapted to a water pipe as many user state this is their preferred method. I'd appreciate any advice/insight you guys could give me to sway me in one direction. Thanks in advance, I've lurked these forums for a while and learned a lot.

Just ou of curiosity how many draws would you take during an average session? Do you use the WPA?IMO, the LSV is more versatile and efficient, as well as much cheaper. And it pairs very well with water tools. The DBV and SSV have the same internals, but use a whip. Both are excellent, but direct draw is a tad tastier, I think. Potency will be down to the quality of your flowers more than the device.
Is the vapor quality comparable between the Plenty and LSV?I have both the Plenty and the LSV and for me I would take the LSV any day. Build quality, efficiency (Btw, yes way more efficient than the Pax), and versatility all go to the LSV.
I don't own the DBV or SSV but you can create a similar experience with the LSV by adding a whip kit.
Just my opinion but it's hard to find a better value then the LSV.

**how do I merge my posts? I messed up trying to do both responses in one post.

my favorite way to use the LSV. The crafty liquid pad brings the flowers closer to the heat source and allows for a fun stir because of the wide access. It's like stirring in a dish.
What am I seeing here?So got kinda bored at work today, thought I would screw around with an idea I had been toying with.

No stirring but additional heat requirements as you said.@Frederick McGuire It's a LSV Fatty Transfer Wand Adapter that has a custom insert in the front heater side to give the air flow a vortex when pulled hard. No stirring needed.
Once in a vortex, the heater can't keep up and vapor falls off. The insert blocks any direct IR heat so I have that also working against me... More heat needed!
. I' m never going to get rich and famous this way. Lol.I'd be interested to see pictures
. Yes, you definately need to pull harder than normal for a vortex. This version uses 4) 1/16th" holes. It is all I have tried so far.Interesting, do you notice a dramatically increased drag speed is required to introduce the vortexing action? I wonder if modifying the design would encourage the herbs to vortex at a lower "drag speed"
Ah, that's why vapor density is diminished. You're diluting the vapor with fresh unheated air. I'm planning to use fins to redirect the airflow before it hits the herbsThis version uses 4) 1/16th" holes. It is all I have tried so far.
