So, to fix the wire could I just use connectors? Like those lil tubes you crimp?

Yep, exactly.

I actually fixed it temporarily by just stripping and twisting the cables together and wrapping them with electrical tape to insulate them.

Then I upgraded to those electrical connectors you described at a later point.

Has anyone ordered from 7th Floor directly or had any recent contact with their customer service? I have that issue with my cord and I ordered the strain relief last week, but never got a shipping label from them. I just tried calling both their numbers and got a mailbox that was full. Are these guys still in business or what?

Double Ground Glass on the new model.
Perhaps that is the extra "lip" seen on newer one as opposed to "seemless" on original HC.

I have the one on the left (red circle) but I've had my LSV now for almost 2 years. What's the advantage of the new one over the old one?

Further inspection reveals that they each have a lip.
The Original is polished glass on the inside.
The double ground glass is a frosted texture outside (as we have) and on the inside also, for better adhesion to transfer wands.

But I never have gotten a wand stuck or had one fall out loosely from this "original".
The transfer wand itself is ground glass, and I imagine that has been enough.
The Buddha (and SSV) are ground glass inside of the HC.
Somewhere perhaps someone viewed their having left the inside walls "glazed" rather than frosted on the LSV HC an oversight (because they were more focused on the ball and socket adhesion/glide of the WPA).

Does this work on SSV and LSV websites? I wanna get the ceramic flavor disc screen and a nectar collector to dab out of my LSV full-time. Will this work? If so I'm gonna build a stand for that bad boy too. Any input helps

Not out of the box but the mic holder comes off and you could find one big enough for the lsv and slap it on there. Be creative man

Does anyone have experience buying 7th floor factory rejects? I see they have them for $100 (without a carrying bag )...Is it worth the savings?

i never use the bag and i can not see any reason a blemished one being inferior. if it works, it will works incredibly good!

It's an incredible deal from 7th Floor. You can live without the bag. But if you have a water tool, definitely order a WPA

and just to clarify, those are not factory rejects they're selling, but have almost unnoticeable blemishes, which do not affect performance

But hypothetically speaking, if I was willing to pay a little extra for a non-reclaimed unit, with the travel bag, in my choice of color... Buying direct from 7th Floor it looks like $190 at 15% off equals $161.50, not a bad price actually. Any other good sales out there right now?

Also what is the difference between the "long" and "short" water pipe adapters?

You want the shorty it puts the heater much closer to the material in the wpa making extraction a lot easier
