What's this part called? It's not a flange is it? Also measurements, 1 1/2 x 3?

It's a 1.5" x 3" black plastic pipe reducer, this is the pipe typically used for sewer lines and vents.

That's why I made a notch for the cord, so it wouldn't have to be threaded through a hole, which would have had to be quite big, or required me to disconnect the cord from the lsv to get it through a smaller hole. So the cord is just held into the groove by friction and not threaded through a hole. I did drill a hole before I made the groove though, then the groove gets small enough to hold the cord in the hole by friction.

For the indicator light I also made a groove, and I also drilled the hole first, but if I wanted to make a perfect stand maybe I would have just made a shallower groove and no hole would have been necessary.

It is the dome screens for the Arizer Extreme Q vaporizer.

PM me with your address and I'll mail you out a few. I ordered them after I first heard about this technique as well but for me, using small loads, it just adds way too much air to the vapor for my liking. Two domed screens. Used only twice.

No that looks too thick, I just used a skinny sliver or two of duct tape and I actually put the tape around the lsv itself (just below the light). I did comment that actual metal foil tape might have matched my silver lsv better, but the duct tape looks really really close. In fact duct tape may be a better match because it's not as shiny, they also make colored duct tape if your lsv is not silver.
Then again if you tape the inside of the stand instead of around the outside of the lsv like I did, the color wouldn't matter at all. I just never tried doing it that way.

Cool I got it figured out using only a drill bit and a lil sanding.

I just put a bunch of tape on the inside cause I didn't want to alter the unit itself

i'm going to ship it back tomorrow it will cost 50 eur (slow shipping, like it takes 2 weeks) + 25$ for replacing the lsv. I hope the pack doesn't get lost or something, with the luck i have..

I had a question about the cord strain relief. Sometimes my unit loses power and I have to fiddle with the cord to get it working again. Is that a strain relief problem or something else I need to figure out?

I'd say your unit needs a rewiring ASAP.

Sounds to me like one of the wires in the power cord is starting to wear out.

I had a similar thing happen to my LSV.

It would intermittently cut off, and power would come back if I moved the power cord a bit.

I eventually just wrapped the cord around the body in a way that held it in place and it worked fine for months, but eventually it moved just a bit too much and the wire shorted with something.

It shot out a spark, slightly melted the power cord, and the unit completely stopped working.

After a rewire it's going strong as ever

If you're still in warranty, 7th floor should be able to fix it for free (you'd probably have to pay for shipping though? Not 100% sure on the warranty policy ATM).

If you're outside warranty, it's pretty easy to do yourself if you've got even a passing familiarity with stripping wires.
Or a local electronics repair shop should be able to do it, or 7th floor can do it for a small fee.

Need help getting this thing going quick Got my LSV, and the ceramic heating stem is dirty with some black markings on it. Is it possible to clean it with anything? A wipe with something maybe and a burn off or just a burn off? It also seems to have play in it, is this normal?

A bit of play is normal.

I've never done anything to clean my element but a full temp burnoff.

If your unit is new, def give it a full temp burn off for 30-60 mins, just to make sure any residual manufacturing oils are burned off.
If your unit is 2nd hand, I'd think just a good 15-30 min burnoff at full temp would clean up the element pretty well - maybe give it a wipe with an ISO dampened cloth once its cooled down if the burnoff didn't clear it up entirely (just make sure you're really careful that its fully cooled down before you go touching the element - and be careful of the ISO fumes - let the element dry off for a bit after the ISO wipe before you plug the unit in again. I wouldn't think the LSV element could ignite ISO fumes, but better safe than sorry )

It's new and I just gave it a gentle wip with a damp paper towel and some dirt did come off. I will just heat it up max and burn it off for awhile now. Thanks I can't wait to try this thing!

EDIT: So it looks like only the tip glows red hot (at least an inch of it) and I guess that will clean anything off there but most of the marks (or oils of some kind?) are closer to the base and wont collect enough heat to burn off, maybe? I guess it will have to do anyway

Please don't concern yourself with those marks. As you use the vape, that ceramic element will get more of them. It's no big deal.

I won't. I just wanted to see if maybe they were something like oil that I should get off first. Just letting it burn off for a bit now and I can also see one line in it like a scratch that is glowing even britgher than the rest of it. Is that ok too?

I wanted to use it tonight but while I was doing all this I of course looked at my Solo and just had to, lol. Maybe tomorrow, na, tonight

How would it be out of position? It is slanted just a bit as in it's not perfectly strait when the glass chamber is over it but it's not touching the glass. Looks ok.

EDIT: Can't insert a pic now..thought I could just put one in strait off my computer. The only thing I saw that dosn't look good is under the heater cover mount collar the metal there looks like it's pryed out a bit and I can see inside a little. There are no shims but that pry seems to work like one, hmm. However, I am done messing with it, and it's all together ready to go

The element ha a bit of play to it, you can push it in towards the base, or pull it away from the base, as well as wiggling it side to side.

You really shouldn't need to do anything with the element, but some people find they have performance issues where the unit runs a bit too cool, and pulling the element out a bit can help with it.

I am a new lsv owner, and after 20 pages of reading i can see that the mods you guys have come up with so far are:

• EQ screen for the wand (Or was it for the hc? lol)
• Male-to-male adapter as a WPA
• DIY stands
• Make sure the letters "STD -" are visible on the ceramic heating element

anything else im missing? I wanna get the most out of my new vape, so i figured asking here would give me the best results

Ahh, OK, so your heater cover is just a bit too short for your liking?
Are you trying to get the top cap to snugly sit against the heater cover an hold it in place?
I exclusively use the WPA, so I actually haven't had my top cap on either of my LSVs for months...
I think my temp knob sits out a bit higher on my black one too, but I like it

You might find some of these pics helpful:
I took them while I was planning on getting a piece machined to give it a removable power cord.














There is some rubber cement stuff that holds the power cord to the base cap, mine had let the power cord slip through a bit, so I opened it up, pushed the cord back through, then hot glued it back in place.

Eventually I felt like experimenting again, and chopped the power cord off (pretty much at the point where the black outer insulation ended) and slapped on a couple of connectors for a removable cord.
Eventually there was some mechanical stress on those connectors, and they shorted, so I removed them, twisted the wires back together, and sealed the connection for each wire with some heatshrink tubing (I'm thinking of opening it up again, and soldering the wires together before heat shrinking them...)

So, to fix the wire could I just use connectors? Like those lil tubes you crimp?
