Excluding the shell, I reckon you could get the parts for well under a hundred bucks if you were savvy enough. If you factor in the cost of hot glue you're looking at a small mortgage, though.Just out of curiosity, what do you figure parts investment is for a DIY?
Anyone had any luck with PayPal's Resolution Center? Has anyone been refunded by the company, and if not, how long are you waiting to escalate the claim to PayPal?

I got my refund around the start of the month. I did have to wait a bit for them to respond and then when they failed to, I escalated it to PayPal and again had to wait for I think two weeks. At that point it was approved by PayPal and I got my refund.
The owner specifically told me to escalate to PayPal as they weren’t responding to stuff there and most likely had zero cash in the account.
Negative. I just disputed the original purchase stating I never received the product and got the refund. Thanks for the info. Did PayPal ask you what the product was? I ask b/c Hexnail products are probably classified as drug paraphernalia, which violates PayPal's Buyer Protection Policy.
Glad you got your dough back

Yes we do but I think the legal situation currently correlates with that.
It sounds like they were drowning in debt and broke, they probably used it to pay something but there obviously wasn't enough to go around. I doubt they got much for the code/software anyway since they were in a very weak negotiating position and probably got lowballed for it.What new owners?
And why aren't they liable for the losses of customers? For sure we are speaking about some 10K.
And how can Ava&Liz sell something of the company w/o using that money for satisfying creditors?
Would like to know the story - and legal situation - behind.
Someone else said they broke up so it's not likely. With all the liabilities tied to the old business they could legally start a new company if they wanted, that's basically how the auto-bailouts worked with the current General Motors company only being 9 years old now.My greatest concern is that these two could do the same thing all over again behind another created entity with zero financial ramifications for all the customers of theirs that were overtly lied to and stolen from.
