Glass Vapes From The Rogue Wax Works

Hopefully I'm posting this in the right place: can anyone speak to whether the different DV 01 cooling unit models are different widths, specifically the standard vs. Omni? I'm trying to add an additional cooling unit to my Anvil, and the Simrell Collection intercoolers are too wide for the inner diameter of the Anvil condenser. I'm pretty sure one of the standard-length TRWW cooling units will work, but I'm not sure if one's narrower (and therefore more likely to fit). TIA!

@TedJones certainly possible but probably difficult

@LordOfTheVapes I will have some listed next week and i just put a few on the Discord EntExchange

@David Root glad you are enjoying it

@SockPuppetTheatrics the stock size ones are under 4mm

Thinking about making a seperate thread for the Coil Cap, what do you guys think?

@LordOfTheVapes i meant to ask how your testing with the Terpcicle was going?

I got a Terpcicle a few months back. Although many seemed to prefer the Quartz Caps, I was for some reason determined to use it horizontally with a straight stem, so I chose something with a firm heater connection.

Considering its inherent fragility, large bowl capacity, and the requisite big torch, I ordered expecting to use it only occasionally as a special treat, sticking mainly with electric vapes otherwise; but it surprised me and pretty much immediately took over my top spot, even for smaller doses.

The learning curve was easy. I slightly charred my first bowl and overcooked a couple more, but that was about all it took. Since then (and we're talking several bowls daily), I've gotten consistently, reliably great results, with no combustion. It delivers thick, plentiful vapor, beautiful flavor, and a thorough roast with no need to stir. Fragility aside, there was really only one major downside for me: in a horizontal stem or J-hook configuration, it can be difficult to set down quickly & safely.

Fearing the inevitable breakage, I eventually ordered a Quartz Cap 18mm, a Megacicle, and a Terpcicle Mini. Sure enough, I chipped and cracked my connector joint soon afterward, so then, while waiting for a new connector, I started using the Megacicle with a J-hook. My first hit, seeing the flower go rapidly from bright green to a medium-dark brown in the process, was just stunning :whoa:

Gradually I came to prefer using the tongs rather than handling the Terpcicle heater's taper joint. And now, thanks to either the Lotus or J-hook thread? I just recently got a fantastic little HMK Glass bubbler to go with it, eliminating that drawback mentioned above, so this has become my favorite vape by far. Thank you again @RogueGuy!

Also I'm very interested in the QC Mini, assuming it fits a 14mm joint? How does the bowl inner diameter compare to that of the Terpcicle / Mini?

Propane torch !

Works like the one in the vids, but A WHOLE BUNCH CHEAPER TO RUN.

Just a plumbers torch that screws on to a 16 ounce propane tank.
15 seconds, I got just like the guy in the vid. Added heat a little later.

Tonight I tried 20 seconds.
Terp flavor first hit, then it went down like a cigar. Not ash, but black on top, green by the screen. The black advanced as I continued like a cigar until it was darkest brown almost black AVB right to the screen. Darkest vapor I have seen. Thought for sure it combusted, or was going to. Did not.
As Ride the line as can get. Anything more including if I had Paused, would have combusted.

This is not the torches fault, I just hit it right.
18 seconds next time.

Similar Mag propane torch Here

I have this one at work . Same I only use propane. NO mapp needed.

Any word on when mini Terpcicle heaters are back in stock? Can’t wait to get my hands on the full mini terp setup.

ETA: I think the capcha on your website is busted. It says failed and refreshes even when you get it right. Either that or I busted it, my bad if so.

I wonder if this is a Google issue. I had that happen with the captcha on Steam yesterday. I had to use the browser on another machine to get past it.

New approach. The good people of CC discord pointed me towards a DIY coil stand and I immediately knew I wanted to test wireless CoilCap Beta 18mm:

I've got this running off of a DC PeliNail set to 600F and for a CT big scoop, milks up right away--thorough, even extraction, great effects 👌

Here's what I'm doing: after things get up to temp, I use a test tube clamp to grab the bowl and place it on a glass stand and allow it to cool down briefly. Using a cake decorating tip as a funnel, I dump a scoop into the bowl and then, using the test tube clamp, I grab the heater by the hose clamp (very secure) and cap the bowl. Then, using the test tube clamp, I transfer the bowl over to my glass.

@RogueGuy have you tried something like this?

You could just hit it like that with a j-hook, female stem, hydratube, etc. Double-dog dare ya. ; )

Actually used mine last night with a hook. Filled up the 14 bowl pretty good and real low (420) on the crossing tech. Must have gotten 10 or more pulls until I tapped out lol. Had to remove the heater for just a few seconds a couple times when it got too warm, but dam
I'll have to try that this weekend. I've sorta found some balance between flavor and vapor thickness at like 480 or 90 I think last time I played. On a j-hook a bet it's amazing at the right temp!

@friedrich thanks for the post and really glad you are enjoying them. I haven't measured the bowls between the Terpcicle Mini and the new QC Mini but they are probably close. The QC Mini is designed around being used with a mini torch more than anything

@ImTrynaVape I'm hoping for all terpcicle restock in 3 weeks.

@LordOfTheVapes i have but wasnt running it hot enough. Im talking to a manufacturer of those spring clips. Im designing one that will be 2 wraps of thicker wire and instead of 2 of the little turned finger ends, there will be 1 on one end and a long straight piece on the other end that will go into a wood handle. If you can picture that. I think it definitely has the potential for wireless

@TedJones the 14 really does low temp well. I have had the same 10 hit sessions around 425. How do you feel about pulling the heater to dump heat? I'm not sure if this type of intervention is nessesary with other ball/desktop vapes. It's a little like working the button on an unregulated vape. It appeals to some but not everyone.

Struggling a bit with a stand. One issue is im designing it to work with the Terpcicle heater so it's extra tall and the clips kind of get in the way. For those with existing stands, what are you finding works?

TRWW vapor pipe has been fun to use; the weight of it rests comfortably between your thumb and fingers and the combination of cooling dimples and beads has handled everything I could throw at it. I've paired it with a dropdown which affords me the benefit of being able to set down the vapor pipe in an upright position; a nice piece to display on a desk... So I've been thinking, right now we're in the middle of the vapor pipe chapter of TRWW story; what designs from previous chapters do you hold dear/have never left your rotation, and why? :sherlock:

Among the first things I got from Dave are these awesome glass DV stems I think his friend/neighbor made, iirc. They're still among the nicest I've seen and they're so thick and cool they can handle the heavies with no problem. Of his stuff, I love my OG Heady Quartz Cap and pipe!

Thanks. Think I'll get the 14mm Terpsicle then
The Terpcicle 14 is an excellent vaporizer, you won't be disappointed. It's in 4th place in bowl size, the Terpcicle mini has the smallest bowl, then it's the QC14, the Terpedo is tied for 3rd, then comes the TC14.

In the conduction category, there's also the Nameless Conduction, with direct heating of the bowl walls.

They're all beautiful and efficient.

What's the difference between the Terpsicle 14 and the QC14? Is one considered superior?

I find the QC to be better suited for a vertical position because of the loose cap, which is why I only use it on water pieces.

The Terpcicle, on the other hand, can also be held (carefully) in a horizontal position due to the textured connections.

Both are among my favorite vapes and I use them both daily. At this price, you can't go wrong.
