Pen Focus Vaporizer

I can't seem to access the focus-vape.com website. Anyone else having the same issue?

btw: My son and I have taken out the ceramic pucks in our Focus units and replaced them with a spiral of stainless steel, reduces restriction quite a bit and doesn't clog for very long periods, unlike the ceramic.

You're not alone.

I only tried to contact them through their website. I read that it could help to email them through my regular email and I didn't try that. Kind of glad it didn't work because PIU was so great about it. Plus more free candy.

Hello,

I'm going to buy my first vaporizer soon but I still haven't fully decided which one I want to get. It's either the FocusVape Pro with the water bubbler or the Flowermate 5 Pro (which is a bit more expensive, though)

How do they compare? I'm still leaning towards the FocusVape which I initially decided upon, until I learned about the Flowermate. So I'm now sitting here and can't really decide, haha. What do you guys suggest?

Don't buy that piece uh crap...Lol.

U Kno what I mean, it's ok, spend a lil more for something legit. The boundless vapes start at about 100, look for coupons for all vapes btw.

The new flowermate is convection based, I'd check that out, bowl is almost identical to the mighty/crafty.

These starter conduction Vapes always leave u wanting more and feeling like your wasting ur material.

Here i disagree, if you can't invest 200$ the Focus is a very good choice with a lot of features(adjustable t°, replacable battery, adjustable airflow) and the vapor quality is more than decent and there is enough power to vape some concentrates.

For a beginner I prefer to recommand a decent quality conduction vape cause they are so easy to use.

Imho the Focus (Pro or not, I love the first version also) is a solid first choice!

I don't know why anyone would be down on this vape. I agree with everything PPN wrote. I use it with the stainless WPA and it gives me super huge milky clouds. No stirring I get the darkest, most even ABV out of it. Uses standard 18650 rechargeable batteries that are super easy to swap out. Oh, and it heats up FAST.

It's heavy duty and can take a lot of use. Out and about it looks enough like a pen vape no one thinks twice about it. Personally, I prefer the Pro because it gets a little bit hotter and I'm a high temp vaper.

The ONLY reason I bought GH's was because I like to take single hits rather than session vape and to me it's more of a session vape. I'm pretty sure I could load it with smaller loads and use it more that way, but it's so good I always vape more than I should with it. Even with hoppers I still use it at least once or twice a day, usually later in the evening.

Yea wait till 4/20 deals...And save up imo.

The grasshopper is under 200 and in stock.
The Hopper just went to $200 recently; still a vg price but great as they are I would not recommend as first/only vape (unless one can afford to buy two!), based on reliability. Yes, they'll repair it ,but all the backs and forths might be rough on a newcomer.

For a good friend of mine who has demanding standards, and would not tolerate a fussy product, I recommended the Focus Pro, even while I own two Hoppers and a Mighty and have never tried a Focus vape. I based it generally on things I read here, and some good advice from @moondog . (btw, friend thinks vaping is a hassle and would rather 'just use the pipe'. Oy.)

^^^ this! Unless I really disliked the person, I wouldn't suggest the gh as their first or only vape.

Someone close to me LOVES THE FOCUS PRO and has been using it as a daily driver for over 6 months and it is performing beautifully. It definitely is my go-to for out and about.

When I say this person is using it as a daily driver..... I mean several times per day and it's not being treated kindly. This person has access to the same vapes I have but prefers the ease and functionality of the Focus Pro. When I did the detail review on the Focus vapes I said I would recommend it as a backup vape or starter vape but wasn't sure it would stand the test of time and I was taking a wait and see approach. Now that I've seen it as a seriously used daily driver I'd say it can handle it pretty well.

I still prefer the Cloud Evo or Arizer Solo around the house though while the other person prefers the Focus Pro. Guess that's why we always say 'Your mileage may vary'.

As several people mentioned .... waiting till the 4/20 sales may get you a better price and some extra freebies.

Oh, and I forgot to mention how easy it is to load and clean and maintain. I have a video, it's a bad, first attempt video, but I think it still makes it's point on how great the Focus Pro can perform, even when the person using it is having some issues. LOL!!

There were still 3 or 4 more good hits they took after the video ended as well.

You can read my full review of the Focus Pro a few pages back. As someone who went ALL IN on the Grasshopper, I would never recommend it as a first vape. I liken it to a high-end British sports car. When it works it blows everything else off the road, but it does require careful maintenance and will almost certainly need some time in the shop (I just sent one of mine back for it's third warranty service. I would be very frustrated except that I was able to get two hoppers so I have a backup.

Anyway, I think the Focus Pro makes an excellent intro vape. It's not a sports car, it's a reliable Toyota. It gets you where you want to go with no muss or fuss, it's sturdy, and using the dry herb capsules makes it the easiest maintenance vape I own. Is it sexy like a GH? Nope, but I can hand it to someone and not have to explain any technique beyond "That end goes in your mouth. Now suck."

I got mine from PIU for $99 and at that price it's a no brainer. My guess is you'll be able to get it for that price or something close on 4/20.

A while back there was some concern about not being to access their website. Apparently, they revamped things and can now be found here.

Just saw the little boundless vape, 89 on piu before %15 coupon.
Look like a reverse pax style.

Have u looked into concentrates? The wax pens are cheaper also, I just find them easier to deal with and very little smell.

I like everything I see about the Focus and Focus Pro especially the glass MP but it's too large for me.

It does seem very straightforward though and that's always been important in getting someone to transition from combusting a joint or a blunt into portable vaping.

Yes, its size is pretty much the only downside. But the tradeoff is that it takes 18650 batteries. The Grasshopper went with custom-sized batteries to accommodate the ultra stealthy portability and battery life suffers as a result, not to mention that there is only one source for those batteries.

As we see over and over again, no vape is perfect. It boils down to which combination of features best suits your usage model. And is also why so many of us own multiple vapes.

Cracked my focusvape out of storage as the need for a portable is again required. Still works great. Have a Boundless CF on the way so a comparison of the two is inevitable. Sadly for the focus i think the CF will be a stepup. But for now it's filling the void.

Maybe not so much... i sold my Focus pro which was full t° control and kept my original Focus cause the thick clouds it produces (thicker than the pro imo...).
That's funny, I definitely get thicker clouds with my pro, but then again, I got my analog through AliExpress from Indonesia (I think) for $40.00. ;)

Hi all,
I am new at vaporizing and looking to buy my first vape. After reading a few weeks on and on about all the different kind of equipment i think I want to buy a focus or focus pro. It looks like price-quality kind of the best i think. But which one would you guys prefer? I am a a casual smoker, like 2 to 3 times a week. I also like tothat smoke with 2-3 friends from time to time. Is that still possible with a vaporizer like the focus?
Greetings

I reviewed/tested most of the I-Focus vapes and I will recommand you the Focus basic, the only con I can see is the clic sequencies could take some times to manage properly. For a beginner that's a really good choice!

Either will work for what you're looking for. If the price differential is important get the cheaper one. Don't forget to check the 420 sales - you should be able to find a decent deal.
