Another question, about silicon tubing for connecting to glass - Someone already mentioned the 7th Floor tubing is slightly too wide to make a good seal on the mouthpiece.

If it's just a bit too tight, here's a trick that should fix it. Come up an inch or two from the end and wrap some scotch tape tightly around the outside of the tube with noting inside it. This will give you a slightly tight spot that won't let the tube expand. This is what I'm doing on my HA which uses the same OD tube but in PTFE, works great.

My FV came with 4 batts and an extra charger. 2 batteries were blue and 2 were silver. I've noticed significant discrepancies among them. At least one didnt seem to get the FV hot enough. Just my experience.

Thanks hoptimum, sounds like you got the Stage 2 batteries as well (from the silver batteries i've seen in pictures). Both of my batteries (blue, 3.2V) cause the FV to act the same. No glow from bottom heater screen. :ugh:

Same here, the blue batteries were definitely weaker. With the silver batteries I have to be very careful not to combust.

I"m gonna order my FV today, puffitup is out of stock has anyone dealt with vapor nation ? Are they reputable, I thinks it's gotvape that a lot of people dislike right? I"m gonna pay extra for USPS express so hopefully I get it in a couple days.

Edit: just placed my order , not a bad way to spend a couple hundred bucks lol, I really hope vapor nation gets it in USPS"s hands ASAP, payed for express hopefully they haul some ass. Can't wait to join the FV crew !!

Shit know I figure out they have a coupon code for FC, that's what I get for being impatient I guess .

ddave...just for the hell of it, hit that FV for a nice, long, 20-30 second draw that is reeeaaaallly slow. like paka said, it sounds like you have your draw speed down okay, but drawing too quickly is the most common mistake noobs make and I would like to confirm you aren't doing it.

Did you personally tried this? I'm curious how was this working? I've never tried yet ash only in the FV. Was a bit affraid of it, even if there are 2 screen and 1 removable.

About the FV brush : still can't find it. Is there a way to get a replacement brush? I found that brush really usefull!

FLASHVAPE any solution????

Go with the S2 power with the spacer.. it will give you a satisfying session. The convection heat works really well for this.

The 3.2v S1 solution also works well with only the second tabbed screen in place (no spacer). It is perfectly fine to use, dont worry about any problems with this setup.

Are you missing the brush? contact me by PM and I will get it sorted out for you. Thanks!

Actually, the 3.2v battery will not make the screen glow red hot, as it is not designed to give off that kind of intense heat, but a rather more mellow heat at less than 300C. Parts of the heating element screen will only glow red hot with the 3.7v S2 battery, and that is the reason why the S2 ceramic spacer is needed to elevate the herbs above the heat source, so the vapor is produced through convection.

Sorry for quality, good camera isn't around but it should give you a "view". To connect both elastics, just do some tight nodes between them!
257663fvelastrick.jpg

Simply i took the elastic (the one around the top part) and put it around the mouthpiece. Then i took the second elastic to tight around the 1st one so it will "close"!

What a great idea. Thanks for sharing. I'm going to put this on mine. I broke my first stem today while shaking the load. It flew off and landed on the floor in what seemed like slow motion.

Looking forward to hearing what you think of it. It's become my daily driver now. I'm looking forward to the next generation of S2 spacers to give that another try. The S1 can do clouds on it's own easily too. It's very pleasant to hold and i like that it doesn't have a lot of lights or dials, just one green light that tells you the goodness is happening.

Hi FlashVAPE, Thanks for the reply. Is there a test I can perform on the unit to see that it is hot enough? What about taking one piece of ground up, very dry herb and placing it in the chamber, then without putting the top on, press the SS button and time how long it takes to combust? Or note that it didn't combust at all?

I've seen Vitolo's initial video with the Stage 1 and have mimicked his technique, but have been unable to produce vapor as he did initially.

If I knew that it was working to spec, then I could focus on technique.

Thanks,
DDave

Can i use the TET tenergy charger with the 3.2v FV batteries? It would be nice to use one charger for all my batteries.

Edit: Cool thanks OF, Oh well 2 chargers it is

It depends on which one. The WF-188 has a switch on the right side for this, the current tenergy does not and will kill them for sure.

The charger that ships with V1 works with the batteries shipped with V1 (those) of course.

I must have done my testing with the 3.7V battery because I got the screen glowing. This was an early test so I probably misremembered. I had brought a load to combustion on purpose and I was worried carbon build-up on the heater screen might be causing a cool spot. I took the FV into a dark room to try to photograph the screen under heat but I couldn't get a decent exposure that showed anything. I do intend to try this again one of these days.

Hi stickstones, did a slow 20 second draw on the FV, really slow. dried Herb out first, as was previously suggested. No increase in vapor resulted. Didn't get any sign of combustion either, holding the power for that long. (FlashVAPE contacted me and I'm looking forward to working with him on the issue. It's really great to receive this type of support!)

Support is the next most important thing to the unit itself. FV has it all. ;)
Customer support defines any company IMHO. A company can have great products but if they treat customers like shit or just ignore them altogether they ain't getting my money! I've exchanged a few emails with them and was always treated very well!
Soon as the new run of black ones arrive at Puffitup I'm buying.

Yes do it! This won't happen anymore. Although you can remove stem with the elastics when you wanna pack it back, you can also simply "unplug" the mouthpiece and left it linked by side of the top FV and it will get easily in the pocket aswell! So when you'll take it off you'll simply just have to plug it and thats all (no more mouthpiece searching!).

thanks DDave! If the herb was still green with no black spots then you most likely have a defective unit. Thanks for playing!

Hell yea my flashvape was waiting for me when I woke up, charging batteries as we speak. Cant wait to give this thing a go, having to go back to combustion for this past day and a half has sucked. First impression this thing is solid.

Alright this thing kicks ass, super easy to get some serious hits. I have been putting enough to just cover the screen and its working great. I combusted my first bowl because in all my excitement i forgot you are supposed to shake the load after every few hits and I just went for it. After that its been smooth sailing using the method of heating for 4-5 seconds then drawing for another 2-3 with the power still on, repeat this a few times and I have been getting nice lungbusters. vapor is nice and tasty no off taste from the vape itself and i am able to get my ABV pretty damn dark just how I like it without combusting. So far I am more than satisfied with this purchase.

Glad you like the FV. I'm quite happy with mine - but I was wondering is 4 seconds heating, 2-3 while drawing what most folks here are doing? I've been doing 4 seconds and then 10 seconds or more of draw until i'm full with heat on (in S1 configuration). It certainly works, but may be excessive? Maybe smaller hits work better, or modulating the heat?

Happy 4/20 to all :)
