My face is melting...
I'm not sure what you mean by on-the-go, but the FV is a rather large and heavy unit. It's not something you slip into your pocket (unless you want your pants to fall down).
If you get one, be sure to get the spacer. The FV requires careful technique to avoid combustion, since it is insanely powerful. The spacer moderates that. Speaking of which, I wonder what the glass beads do for vaping dry herbs. More research is needed!
By on the go I mean something reasonably small that can fit in a pack or something I can reach for when I'm recharging my mellow on a road trip..... like say at a park. I want something that is one hand operated, wind resistant and unlikely to get dropped easily. Orif it does, can handle the fall and is easy to find (waiting on the day I drop my DV in the deep snow).
It just needs to be reasonably small, light and durable. The fact that the FV operates on 18650 batteries is a big deal in a good way to me too. Not because I'm an EE but the contrary.....I'm a complete Luddite. I do know that all my non-cannabis flashlights use 18650, so I can keep it simple for myself.
FWIW, I'm strictly using torches as my heat source now, so see the on demand learning curve as a challenge. It sounds as though it roasts.the bowl too IYE......excellent
The company itself has been around was and seems solid.
I'm probably gonna do this
