I got an e-mail from Marc at 15:38, but when i went to the website 2 minutes later i couldnt buy any fatX, out of stock. Was i too slow? Or how does one acquire a device after those mails?

Yeah, you were just too slow / unlucky this time.
They literally sell out in minutes.

But yeah, you are doing everything correctly, just need to be a shade quicker 🤞

Merci.

I'm extremely tempted! For those that have both would you say the FATX is worth the upgrade from the 9?

I finally got my 2 FATX - with 3/8 and 1/2 heating chambers.

I haven't tried them out yet, but I can say that the look of the devices is fantastic. The emotions I received while holding FATX surpassed the joy of receiving TM2 Purple Heart, that's for sure!

First of all, FATX is miniaturized! Secondly, it is very light! I do not know of a device of this class that is lightweight! And thirdly, the design of the device itself, the case made of natural wood, the funny caps of the battery compartment of the internal storage! FATX is great!

In the coming days, I will give the promised feedback on the use of third-party capsules. But I can already say the following for sure . The Fenix mesh capsule fits in a FATX with a 3/8 heating chamber, but I don't think it will work well because of the gaps.

The basic idea with Hyperdyn capsules needs to be improved. The capsule itself is IDEALLY suited in diameter in a FATX with a 1/2 heating chamber, the gap is minimal, just for the thermal expansion of the capsule metal. But the Hyperdyn capsule, although ideally placed in the heating chamber, blocks the air intakes...:hmm:

Therefore, I plan to shorten the capsule by sawing off almost half of it..It's not an easy task, but it might work best. An additional advantage is that the shortened capsules WILL FIT in the internal FATX storage (but no more than 2-3 pieces). Also, I am sure that an additional metal shell in the form of a capsule can enhance the conductive effect, although it will certainly require a lot of battery consumption.:brow:

I also have a question about the "unregulated power mode", is it available in FATX? The maximum temperature that FATX can be set to is 220 degrees Celsius. I prefer short-term heating in vapes, but up to high temperatures (250-260). In microdoses, this has a very strong but controlled effect...

Merci.

The heating chamber 3/8 tapers to the bottom grid, and 1/2 is in the form of an even cylinder, without narrowing.

I shortened the capsule from Hyperdyn, now it sits perfectly in the heating chamber, and the air intakes remain open. Also, shortened capsules are now placed in the internal storage.I haven't tried it in my work yet, I'll try it and tell you in the next few days.

The attached photo album also has a separate spare 1/2 heating chamber with a capsule inside. I bought 1/2, 3/8 heating chambers as well as a ceramic lid in stock.

My FATX is back with me from Marc and functioning beautifully, I’m really enjoying the more open draw on this one. Stock temp setting set to 1, with a tamped full bowl and I can keep chugging along nicely for a while, very impressed.

I do miss the retractable stem though and am worried about breaking the glass when out and about, so I’m looking at wooden / metal cooling stem options, anyone else using something that works well that isn’t glass?

I will try 2 rod options in FATX

1) Mouthpiece and capacitor Hyperdyn + Omni 2018 body. The total length will be 62 mm and it will be shorter than the glass rod that is included and will need to be inserted partially. The Hyperdyn capacitor will need to be shortened. This option is for a minimal protrusion of the mouthpiece made of FATX, while you get the lightest possible titanium construction + the possibility of mixing outside air. The Hyperdyn mouthpiece is thin at the end, I have never seen anything more convenient... I haven't tried it yet -I bought and am waiting for the Omni 2018 body.

2) BB3 Dynavap made of glass. Yes, it's glass, but the mouthpiece will barely protrude from the FATX (length BB3 63 mm). And yes, it will also need to be installed not to the end of the ceramic adapter, otherwise the mouthpiece will not come out of FATX at all))

Happy bunny 🤪

My Fat X landed today, shipping was nice n quick, bonus.... No customs charge 😃

Initial impressions, gorgeous, smaller than I'd imagined, but this is a good thing. Craftsmanship, bang on.

Had a little play before work n must say I'm proper chuffed. Exactly as I'd hoped it would be.

Proper play tonight, but I know I'm happy , more than happy with my purchase.💚
