Good question. Yep just hold the button down as long as your typical medium speed deep draw would be however if your firewood is cold then on the first go add tenish seconds to warm up the ceramic as @El Duderino mentioned previously on top of your draw time.Quick question - every other vape I’ve got required a burn off before first use. How do you do that on the Firewood? Do you just have to hold the button in? Or does wood/ceramic not need burn off?

i'm wondering if this is the sound i'm hearing on my fw9 ... once i engage the button and it gives me the temp buzzes it still buzzes a little like the haptic buzzer doesn't completely stop buzzing ... is this normal or should i contact marc? my fw7 does not do this ... and i don't think the fw9 was doing this when i first started using it ...When you have the trigger button pressed and your not sure if it's engaged, bring the vape to your ear. You'll hear the vape "chirping" as it's heating up.
I’ve been amazed by how pocket friendly the FW9 is. Only real complaints is battery life and how hot parts of it get. If you have old jeans and the FW cap turns the wrong way, you FEEL it. The big advantage I see with the Roffu is that, like the Lobo, it’s cheap enough that is something happens to it, I’m less likely to cry than if one of my nice vapes end up in the lake,I have a Roffu on order. The intent was to use it as a to go pocket vape. I currently have a V3 Pro for my carry, but it's a little too long.
I'm also looking really hard at the FW9 right now. The dimensions are about the same as the Roffu, but I'm sure the FW9 performance is way better. Would the FW9 make a good pocket vape? If so, is there any point in having both?
Thanks a lot!

Depends on the pocket imo. I find the 9 to feel fairly chunky and uncomfortable in my jeans pockets compared to my Toad, IQ2 or even the Firewood 7, but I can carry it pretty easily in a sweatshirt or coat pocket. Despite that, it’s stellar and is/was my usual pick for taking out and about since it heats up pretty quickly for a few tokes while wandering.I have a Roffu on order. Stop it.hi
yesterday i got my firewood9 in the europe and it's great.
perfect workmanship, materials and a different character of drawing than other vapes.
as a tea user and a lover of ceramic bowls i'm just now realizing how unique and perfect the material used for the chamber is.
it's a joy and once i learn how to work with it it will be even better.
i send a big thank you to the manufacturer and also to this community.

Are you riding the button for about 10-12 seconds after the first buzz? Keep riding the button until you're ready to move up in temp. A bit tighter pack will help as well.So I have had my firewood bowl mode for a week now and have been enjoying it so far but part of me feels like it could be performing better. I see comments that this vape hits hard with good vapor production but that really has not been my experience. I have my temps set at 350-370-390 as suggested by users here and get mediocre vapor production and material roast.
Maybe I am doing something wrong??
To give an example: I ran a bowl at 370 for 2 hits and then moved to 390 for another 3 hits, 390 does not feel that hot to me. When I open the chamber the material still has green and there is barely any roast. From what I read here it seems like that should be enough to clear a bowl.
I am using the Vapcell V30 battery purchased from Marc. When it arrived the device told me voltage was <3.5v and to charge immediately to avoid damaging battery. The first charge took upwards of 6 hours to fully charge with the usb-c on the device and tested at max voltage when complete.
Any advice would be appreciated as I don't feel I am getting the full experience this device has to offer. A few things I am thinking may be causing this:
- Not packing bowl tight enough?
- I need to adjust my draw speed?
- Battery not outputting full amps resulting in under performance?
I am coming from being a dedicated Dynavap user for about 6 years.
I have held the button 15 seconds past the buzz on initial heat up. Similar results. Are you riding the button for about 10-12 seconds after the first buzz? Keep riding the button until you're ready to move up in temp. A bit tighter pack will help as well.
Hello, I have had the firewood9 for about four days and have only used it twice. So I have had my firewood bowl mode for a week now and have been enjoying it so far but part of me feels like it could be performing better. Correct. More than likely, you probably are not going to be long before taking your next hit, so continue to hold the button down. Don't shut the heater off.I have held the button 15 seconds past the buzz on initial heat up. Similar results.
Are you saying after I take my first hit, continue to hold the button down?
