Anything worth doing, is worth overdoing.
Thanks everyone. For now, I'm good if you can do most adjustments (especially the calibration) on the unit itself. Maybe one day I'll pick up a windows pc to use.
TyvmDepends on the mass of your BB, but at approximately 0.025g per BB = 40.
On checking it out, dab done gone,
I see what folks mean when they say it can get dirty. Even half a BB, vapes well, but splatters like a thirsty hound dog in a water bowl. That’s great, I’ve been trying to perfect the Cricket 1-hitter. Tiny size dab, and just the right temp. Big plus, not much to clean….
So slowing down the ramp up time might help too.
Hopefully that won't fuck with the gasket.
I think the ISO fucks with the silicone. Black particles come off of mine now when I remove the tub to deep clean with an iso wipe (70%)

In addition, those gaskets are quite close to the tub which gets pretty hot. I wonder if that heat is going to effect the gaskets. The gasket around the glass chimney sits right on top of the hot tub.
Let the gasket saga beginWe would have to know what type of silicone those gaskets are made from. Some types can withstand heat much higher than 600f.
I haven’t noticed anything effecting my gaskets yet. I’d be more concerned if this was a no-name Chinese mod.
Now I'm curious. I've already taken to reddit to spread rumors / gather intelligence.
it can get dirty
I disabled the cap sensor in Escribe and it's been nothing but smooth sailing since.
I've had mine for about a week and have had the same experience across the board.I received my Cricket last Thursday and have very much been enjoying getting to know it. I had some issues on my 1st day with consistency. I noticed later when I was plugging it in to charge it kept switching between the cap on and cap off screens. Just by holding the unit in my hand and every so slightly moving it back and forth. Crazy sensitive malfunctioning sensor. I disabled the cap sensor in Escribe and it's been nothing but smooth sailing since.
Love the minimalness of the unit. Super easy to keep clean, very smooth, and tasty hits. I'm running 60w at 495F, 5-second heat-up time. Usually, loading 1/2 - 3/4 of a BB.
Be nice to have a sleeve to cover the mouthpiece and where it connects to the body. It tends to separate in my pocket and then the tub gets filled with little pocket fuzzies.
My cap on/off sensor was all over the place so I also disabled the sensor but then I checked for service packs in eScribe... I saw there was one available and once I installed it, the sensor became very consistent and stable.
Interesting, didn’t know that was an option.
I assume you just pre-melt with cap off, at the vape temperature for a few seconds?

That's good to hear because I kinda thought the cap-off pre-melt function was cool.
The cap is definitely a problem. I hope they come up with a solution, whether it's stronger magnets, or a sleeve or something else. It's just not pocketable as it is right now with the cap guaranteed to come off in pockets.
Are you pre-melting your dab before putting the cap on ?
Anyway, hope these ideas reduce your splattering.
