It's super easy to remove the two bolts, pull the tub, iso wipe, and put it all back together! I'm even more in love with the Cricket now that I see how little reclaim there is and just how easy it is to maintain.

I heared different thinks about the clouds which cricket produces… some say (like sneaky Pete clouds are not so dense because vapor is mixed with a lot of fresh air) others say it can produce dense clouds? I am on the fence for ordering a blamished but not sure if it is the right vaporizer… I plan to use more concentrate in future and already bought a pockety and lightning pen…
I like form factor, using small dabs, taste,efficiency of this vape (what I read)… but not sure with clouds… how are the clouds of cricket compared to lightning pen and pockety?

If one isn't getting dense clouds at 600f with 0.05g and a nice easy slow draw something isn't right IMO.
From what i've read, the lightning pen belts out bigger denser clouds, albeit at the expense of flavour and smoothness. I was on the fence for a while, but in the end it's the affordable price that has pushed me over the edge into buying a Lightning Pen in addition to my (2) Crickets. Chirp Chirp!

My wife is going to disown me, but when I saw @DJ Colonel Corn's post on the sale, I jumped on it and ordered a blem for myself. I did first check to make sure you still get all the rights to the usual warranty. I also used the ninjapucks code. 
Looking forward to this guy. I was skeptical and still reeling from the costs associated with my TM2, but I jumped today for a few reasons. While I love my TM2, I use it just for flower and flower is not my main squeeze. I am a daily concentrate user and depend on my Core erig, but am looking for something solid to platoon with it. I also only use the tiniest dabs and prefer smaller 2-3 hits before swabbing out. In fact, when using the V5, I find a dry qtip to be enough to swab out and clean a hot ceramic bucket. Iso really isn't necessary if you are swabbing out while hot and after every sesh. I am expecting a warm tub to work the same way, we will see. Finally, in terms of quality and performance, when @DJ Colonel Corn, @biohacker and @RustyOldNail all come out and say this thing kicks ass, that says something to me. These guys know their shit.
While Troy has no love for it, probably because he prefers massive dabs off terp slurpers, Jerry OTOH loves it and has lots of great things to say. Check out at time 6:30
The cost was finally right for me, and while I don't want to jinx myself, I have always had good luck with ordering seconds.
I still love the V5 and the Core! I wanted to love the LP, but it is just a novelty to me and not what I was hoping it would be for daily use. The LP is still a solid pen unit and will join the ranks with my terp pen. Still useful and not to be gotten rid of.
Now for the wait... I got some fresh hash rosin ready for this bad boy when it arrives.

Hey, I love my V5 and the Core 2.0 with DT's latest recycler top is quite nice. However, I do dislike the intense cleanup after a lot of sesh's with the Core 2.0 . I find the V5 very easy to maintain, and the Cricket even easier.

I've bitched about this before with the firmware. I only have chromebooks and no pc or macs for any of the firmware like escribe, AF or RP. I am not that computer savvy, and I don't understand why a mac program can't be run on an iPhone. Aren't they both apple products? Very curious, is there any way to update a mod with an iphone (or a chromebook?)

Short answer… NO.
Apple does NOT allow any APPS that are vapor related, took them all down awhile ago.
However, Davinci had promised that their IQ2 when released, had an APP, but that unfortunately for them was at the same time these apps were banned. Much later, they came out with some convoluted way of doing it in an internet browser. I never had to bother. I doubt Evolv would consider this as it takes time and resources to do, and their software is already available on both Windows and Mac computers. Maybe you have a friend with a computer that could help, though the Cricket’s default settings work fine out of the box, there is not much you can’t set on the device itself.
I have played a little with writing a replacement app for escribe that is browser based. I think it is possible for evolv to do this, but right now their application is a .NET application. I think it would be fantastic if Evolv documented the escribe interface, especially with regular box mods going extinct. It might even drive adoption of DNA chips in more bespoke vapes.
Anyway, sad to say there is no escribe for Chromebook right now.

You can adjust temperature, ramp-up time, you can calibrate, you can set cap-off temp... all without Escribe.
Escribe enables you to set a ramp up time of up to 20 seconds, (mod only does up to 5) adjust wattage output, and run diagnostics.
Most folks are happy with it without Escribe, but, for some it's a deal breaker to need a pc I've heard.
I can say that Escribe is a LOT easier to install and run than AF is, it seems to me.

It can be a bummer if like me, all your stuff is Apple based, as a lot of my now old Chinese ECig mods only offered Windows firmware updates. A friend gave me one of those inexpensive WinBook tablets and I was able to use that.
We begged Evolv to port the original Escribe software to Apple Mac, and I’m still amazed they have kept it compatible with my 2011 MacBookPro, running now ancient MacOS “Sierra”.
For running current DNA75C and 100C mods for 510 atomizers like the DT V5 etc, you do need a computer to install the best themes that give you access to all the features, an example is the new session mode, so you don’t have to hold the power button, and can set a custom time out.
I’m making a list of some suggestions for Evolv to improve some more custom settings, that perhaps they will consider for a future Cricket firmware update.
Just checked the Evolv site, and seems they have the software available for windows, Mac, and Linux (thought I had seen Linux the other day which is why I checked … if it runs on Linux you theoretically should be able to get it to run on Mac, however, it has a mac version)

You could probably run it on a cheap <$100 Linux computer (would run on a raspberry pi for example)

Depends on the mass of your BB, but at approximately 0.025g per BB = 40.
Technically chromebooks have a linux kernel and you can enable linux applications, but I think it would be very challenging to get it running on a chromeOS. It requires mono and a bunch of gtk2 stuff that I don't think ChromeOS installs by default. Probably more trouble than getting access to another computer. Maybe I will play around with getting that running tonight. Although, I don't honestly know if chromebooks have a normal udev setup either.
