I noticed also it is difficult to get a full extraction without to start to combust...that's why I put my ESV abv in my Imag+ to extract all the goodies (sometimes, actually not since I get a ton of flowers!), but taste and on-demand hits is so nice that I can live with this issue!

I never got it if there was a 50% deal at Vapornation (not anymore I think).

weew... you got it 50% off? That'd be a no brainer I guess.. IIRC you're from the EU? What did you pay totally (incl. tax and customs)?

That's probably the deal I got in on for my backup ESV. They were 'open box' and mine was very old (middle of the first 100), defective, had the top slider 'all the way up' and the battery stone dead. IMO it was a 'problem unit' VN replaced the easy way and never returned. Joe put it right, of course, but in the process told me if he'd known of the 'sale' he'd have bought them all back since that price was below wholesale (they took a loss on 'old stock').

I just checked, I ordered mine the first week in February, I believe the last one went a few days later. When a friend decided a week later that he wanted one, they were gone.

I would not hold my breath waiting on another half price opportunity. I don't think that'll happen again.

Besides, better to be enjoying one than constantly searching for the deal that may never come?

Not sure if this is a credible vendor but here is a link for Elevapes at only $230 sell price. http://vape-smart.com/shop/elevape-smart-vaporizer/

I am so tempted. My ESV was lost to prohibition this past Wednesday. I have a Zion and a Firewood V3 on the way along with a Daisy already in my collection, yet I still think I absolutely NEED an ESV. I am trying to think what portable will be best for snowboarding/skiing this year. The ESV just has best function and size I think. Buttons are a bitch with gloves or cold hands. It charges so fast now with the new software that the ESV and a 10000 whatever battery pack would make the ESV all I would need for the whole day I bet!

Don't forget how amazingly smooth an icy cool hit off the ESV will taste out in the snow! The big wide metal vapor path is one if my favorite features coupled with the instant on...

Firewood has my attention too though, didn't see that coming with Zion already locked in (and new potential news here soon as well?!)

This sounds not bad... Have you heard anything about that dealer? Reputable?
Shit, this VAS could cause some temporarily irrational action...

EDIT: That seller offers also an Evoke ("in stock") - afaik (reading the evoke thread on here) there's no final unit yet.... Strange?

@OF Any thoughts on how this powerbank would pair with the ESV? It's only been 4 days without my ESV and I am already harping on getting a powerbank but I assume I would be able to use it with my Firewood when it comes too. I am looking for something that can recharge the device 3-4 times so I can be out on the mountain all day and never have to worry about a dead battery.

Do you mean it was a defective batch...? Mine is working very well and never get back to Ipuff and serial number is just more than 1000....

While I don't have that one, I do have several similar power banks. They all work just fine for that use, I would expect that one to as well. FWIW a couple of mine have solar panels, not all that useful perhaps, but fun.

No, that's not what I said. That unit had problems. And apparently had been put back in stock a year or so ago rather than send it in for service. How you got from there to a bad batch I'm not sure.

Joe told me there were no 'bad batches', some random failures for a host of reasons (including some incorrect protection PCBs) but no 'bad batches'. The first 100 or so have different software and can't be upgraded by their owners until that's changed but they work fine otherwise and are not part of 'bad batches'.

Joe said total problems are in the 3% range. Like 30 total for 1000 units? Not much room for a 'bad batch' in there........

I'm back! Well I'm on my way back anyway. I couldn't resist. I called Joe and started talking to him and decided to just buy one while I was on the phone with him because I wanted a lot of extras, specifically extra screws which you cannot get from a vendor. I also know that Joe will ship it out today via 2 day priority so I will have it on my birthday!

Great! I'm sure you won't be sorry.

Remember to write yourself a nice thank you note for the BD gift. Not that you don't deserve it, of course, but........

Should I like get a card or something...I never do that, but I do like getting cards...lmao!

The only thing I could ever be sorry about is that I didn't call Joe on Friday. If I did, it would be here today.

Card's optional, but if you go that way be sure the wife doesn't find it........she's very unlikely to understand. Of the many ways I can see that coming out most are worth avoiding I think.......

Don't be too hard on yourself for not calling Joe earlier, after all you were younger then?

Regarding the original USB charger that is included in the kit.
Would it be preferable/optimal to charge with the one that is included versus another?
Why I ask is that the original is rated 500mA and I also have a 1000mA and, I believe, a 2000mA.
They all work, but obviously the more mA the faster the charge time.
So the question really is, will the battery last longer with slower charges or faster chargers? Or is it negligible?
Why would IPuff choose to go with the 500mA?

Most everyone uses cell phone charging cables they had laying around. Almost no one uses the original USB that comes in the kit.

@OF is pretty savy when it comes to this stuff, so perhaps he can add a more technical response as to if the battery will last longer with slower charges or faster charges however I would presume it only matters how many times you charge it and more importantly keeping it between 30% and 95% battery life. Charging to 100% actually depletes your battery life faster than if you charge to just 95%.

So many questions, Grasshopper, all of them good ones.

Charging is controlled in the ESV, I believe set in hardware. That is my 'under 100' S/N came back still at .5 Amps while my 'out of the box' 1000 range one came at 1 Amp but with the same .5 Amp charger as before (so it never charged at full speed that way).

The ESV will use as much current as it can get up to the maximum rate it's set to charge at, feed it less it just goes slower. A 2000mA charger is therefore 'a waste' as the second half of the capacity will never be used. No problem using the .5 Amp chargers, they're just a little slower on recharge.

Another fun option is to recharge from a power bank instead. Small ones can store several recharges for the ESV and make you independent of chargers for a longer time.

I am still using the original style screen on top of it, to hold it (and to give me a good scrape surface), and I'm still using the same temps I had before, as a comparison.

You don't need any screen but the bottle cap as long as its a fine mesh screen.
Indica uses stainless steel brushes that work great for a quick screen clean.
