@OF I agree the temps on the elevape are not entirely accurate but they are a guide line of what to set your unit to.
I have tested the temps of flowermate vaporizers and they are all way way off.
I wouldn't put too much trust in any FM vape temperatures being accurate, or using it as a basis for the temp test.
Yep, a useful guideline.
Relatively if not absolutely accurate. That is higher settings are hotter and repeatable. I'm not so sure about your FM, but I did a quick thermocouple test on this one (and the Mini) when I got them. I only checked at 390F, IIRC it was within a few degrees, dropping I assume with a hit (I couldn't figure out how to snake the T/C leads in through the MP or up the vents like on Ascent, Solo, Air and so on.
How did you measure the temperature? TIA
There is no confusing the observations, however. You don't think you get complete evaporation at 305F do you, at least in a reasonable time. That was my original point, right? It may say 305 on the app, but it's hotter than that in the ESV bowl, at least in key places.
Perhaps some day I'll try another run at this. Herbal Aire might be a good 'prevape' as it's very accurate and can supply a LOT of uniformly heated air. Volcano (which I don't own) is the same I suspect? BTW, trying to read ESV this way doesn't work, at least I couldn't make it. Way too much variation across the load, which is why, I guess, you need to stir typically to get uniform results and why you can combust on one side and have green herb on the other. I wouldn't really know how to measure the temperature in the bowl accurately, and I tried trying to sort out the coil tilt thing.
